This Valentine's Day I want to gift my wife something so special that she will remember it for the rest of her life. I don't know what. All I know is, I have to make her happy, feel loved. We are so different from one another and yet she never fails to shower her unconditional love on me and is always on the look-out for making my life happier and easier.

I know that I don't talk much or spend quality time with her, and that's the only thing she craves for, but these days it seems impossible. The hectic work-schedules which lead to ill management of health, the constant worry and pressure on planning a promising future for our children. We forget to enjoy the present moment we have and the fact that we too are growing up and need to emotionally be there for each other.

As I stand there watching her sleep peacefully, her messed up black hair with a few silver lines like zebra crossings, cherry red lips slightly parted displaying diamond studs of teeth. My presence disturbs her nap, her dazzling eyes look at my direction and smile.

"HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, MY LOVE". I say out loudly.

(I wish I could make that smile on her glowing face last forever.)

"I have a present for you" I continue.

"That's unusual. Hope this ain't a dream"?

"It definitely isn't a dream". I promise.

"So, what's the first thing that conjures up in your mind", when you think about 'love'? I question

"That is a complicated question. The meaning of love differs between peoples' personal opinion".

"I have a love story to tell you on this special day. Consider it as my Valentine's Day gift. This story will solve unanswered questions". I express.

"I'm all ears..."

Now, let us rewind our life a little bit. Imagine we are travelling in a time machine and have entered a time line of 13.8 billion years ago to be precise.

"WOW, this seems interesting". She sits upright. All energy pumped up.

A girl called blaze, she was too HOT. Her anger was un-controllable, short-tempered, and always frustrated. Why? Cause she was all alone. With no one to talk to nor a shoulder to cry on. The loneliness messed up her thoughts; it took her almost millions of years to calm down. When blaze began to cool down, she realised that tiny folks were present around her. Micro sized people, her extreme hotness had blocked their view for so many days. Now blaze was cheerful she had made new friends. Namely Proto and Electro.

Proto was always chirpy, peppy, upbeat, calm, and filled with positivity, the vice versa was the electro. Now electro was always in a dilemma, melancholy, dismal, ill-tempered and soar. He had drastically changing mood swings, some days he will be in an excited state and other days all sorrowful, with no energy wailing in ground state. A few days - months passed and blaze began to cool down completely..

On the other hand, proto fell in love with electro. The differences between them wasn't an issue, it was their plus. Each time electro became wild, proto was present to tame him down. A grand marriage ceremony took place. Now the union of proto and electro was the result of an offspring neutro.

Now neutro is an interesting character, unlike proto and electro, neutro is always neutral .Maintains a stable, balanced and perfect mind-set. The bond of attraction with her parents was in the peak during happy days but not all days are joyful. A quarrel between her parents would lead neutro bitter, the bond of attraction towards her parents leads to bond of repulsion and on noticing the sad languishing vibe produced. Proto and electro would get back together.

This family called themselves the ATOM. The family went on to create their future generations. Many atoms with different characteristics were born. Some families had too much positivity (proto was dominant) the family would be optimistic and when electro was dominant radiating too much of negativity ended up in being a pessimist. These varying emotions, led to a few off- balance situations, still the love between them travelled in the same frequency. The unity between them was never lost.

Let's flash forward the story a little bit now. A new love story came into existence; the electro present in sodio family fell in love with the proto belonging to chloro family. This was against the customs created thus caused lots of riots and arguments' since, a proto and electro had to marry within their tribe itself.

But the love sodio had towards chloro was classic. Hence unable to tolerate the pain their son sodio was going through, the families considering only the happiness of their children began to change the customs created and welcomed the first love between two different relations.

Sodio glad that her love is going to last forever, entered the chloro kind. The chloro in-laws welcomed sodio into their clan with open arms and a big heart. The union of sodio and chloro created a new stage of love.

The epic love story between sodium chloride led the frightened pair hydrogen and chloride to speak about their longing desire between each other and got engaged.

In this way a new evolution of love was created.

To name a few happily ever after: Sodium bromide, potassium iodide, calcium chloride.

The differences between them were never an issue. Whether love or war they stuck together through thick and thin. Pulling each other up during the worstest of times , being a shoulder to cry on , sharing their happiest and joyful moments , no matter how hard the situation is , promising them it will all end soon and assuring them that their beloved Is always there.

How did all this take place?

LOVE... IT'S UNIVERSAL.

The First love between proto and electro created a whole new breath taking journey.

"Love is the queen of all emotions. Without love the others are considered life-less.

Love towards a person leads to an ocean of happiness, excitement, sacrifice unconditional form of acceptance and most importantly forgiveness.

Where love flourishes; hate also subsists.

So obviously it leads to hurt, fights, mistrust, arguments and possessiveness.

But what's love without all these feelings.

Overcoming this roller coaster ride of twists and turns,

Love and Heart break.

No matter what!!!

And cherishing

THE FIRST LOVE, THE FIRST LOOK, THE FIRST TOUCH, THE VERY FIRST CONVO, THE FIRST KISS ...so on and so forth ...

I hereby promise you on this special Valentine's Day that I may not be the Romeo you dreamed off but you are definitely the Juliet of my life. A God sent gift to me that's what you are. Though I might seem busy, quiet and unromantic a completely emotion-less creature.
