Author's pov

Seven days have passed since the day Karna had walked out on Juhi. Seven days since they had a proper conversation. Seven days of pain and Agony. Seven days of ignorance and avoidance. Seven days of torment. Seven days that they never wished to live again.

Karna had been avoiding Juhi for the past seven days. His heart knew the reason behind her not revealing about the events happened in Varnavart was quite right but his mind was not able to digest it. His heart and mind told him two different thing making it quite hard for her to decide on whom to follow and whom not to.

At the end of the day his mind overpowered his heart like his grief and pain overpowered his love for her. He wanted the past few days to be a nightmare but all one can do is wish. He became selfish in his pain. So selfish that he gave blind eye to Juhi's pain and sufferings. He only thought about himself and forgot about the girl, who left her whole family behind to start a family with him.

As for Juhi, Karna's ignorance has hurted in a way words can't express. She now looked like a walking death body. The only person for whom she is living for is, despising her and ignoring her whole existence. He accused her for the death of his family. He accused her of faking her love for his family. He questioned her loyality towards him and his family. His accusations and ignorance are suffocating her.

Once again she found herself in the clutch of depression. Once she had escaped the clutch of depression with the help of her parents. Their love and care brought her out of the dark phrase of her life. Now again she is facing the same situation but this time she doesn't have her parents with her to save her. Nowadays she felt all alone and that made her depressional mind to gain more control over her senses. She was at the verge of giving up her own life but there was something that was preventing her from doing it.

Varchas was also aware of their sufferings. He was not blind to miss the apathy of Karna towards Juhi. One side it was his sister and the other side it was his best friend he didn't know whom to support and whom not to. It pained him to see his beloved ones suffering for no fault of theirs. He could see the damagable effects of Karna's act in Juhi. The once cheerful and happy Juhi is now silent and sad and he felt his heart breaking at the mere sight of her now. He felt his little sister slipping away from everyone and moving towards the world of darkness. He felt like he was loosing her once again to the game of fate.

Even the dassis of the palace too were aware of the indifferent behavior of their Maharaj towards the Maharani. Many unwanted and inadequate rumors were spreading inside the walls of the Anga palace unknown to the King but know by the Queen. This had become one of the reasons for the daasis to gossip about in their working time and one day unknowingly Juhi heard it.

"Seems like Maharaj got wearied of Maharani. I think he is planning to marry again and bring another Maharani to Anga." A daasi spoke drawing the attention of others.

"Really?" Another one blurterd out quite astonished.

"Really. Isn't it obvious?" The first daasi affirmed.

"But how can it be possible? Maharaj loves maharani very much. Haven't you seen the way he looks at like she is the world to him? They both look like a couple made in heaven." The Second one commented.

"That was when Rajmata kunti was here but now look since her death Angaraj is showing an indifferent behaviour towards Angarani. Maybe he never wanted to marry Angarani, might have done it because of the compultion by Rajmata. Or had to wed Angarani because of her brother Vasudeva Krishna." A third daasi said making the other two look at each other.

"And haven't you both heard that Maharaj Draupad had sent the a special invitation to Angaraj more like personally inviting him for his daughter's swayamvar? One of the minister told this news to me. I am very sure Angaraj won't reject it. The panchal rajkumari is said to be the most beautiful woman in the whole Aryavat. She is a kshatriya kanya not a yadav kumri like Angarani Juhi. She will be obviously the perfect choice as Angarani." The first Daasi said.

"But will Angarani agree for this wedding? Let him bring his second wife to Anga." The second one questioned.

"Obviously she has to and moreover her opinion doesn't really matter before the King, if wants to remarry then he will. And it is fine for a kshathriya to have more than one wife." The third one said.

"We don't know whether Angaraj will marry Panchal Kumari or not? All we can do is wait and see what happens." The third one said shaking her head.

"Don't talk about unnesscesary matter here in the kitchen. We are here to work and it would be better for us if we do our work instead of pocking our noses into our masters lives. You are just gonna land up in trouble if someone heard you." Another daasi said entering the Kitchen.

"The whole palace is aware of the indifference between Angaraj and Angarani. This is not a secret and we were just talking about it. Nothing more nothing less" The first one argued.

"Now keep quite and do your works instead of spreading false rumors in the palace." The fourth one said dismissing the daasis.

The daasis made a bitter face before continuing their works silently. With this the conversation in the kitchen halted. It turned completly silent other than the sound of cutting and moving vessils. The dassis were working peacefully in the kitchen unaware of the chaos they created.

The person who was hoping for a change felt her heart completly broken by the conversation. The little hope she had was now completly hattered. Tears continued flowing Juhi's eyes as the words of the daasis ecohed in her ears. The time she spent with Karna flashed before her eyes making more tears to escape her eyes.

"Did he really got wearied of me?" She asked to herself as she walked aimlessly through the corridor of Anga Palace.

Dwaraka

"Bhrata I have done what you have asked me to do. I have trapped her. Trapped her in the world of illusions of the past and no one will be able to get her out of the illusion apart from her own self." Subadhra said looking at Krishna.

"Ah! Dhanyavaadaha Badhre." Krishna said passing her a gentle smile. (Thank you)

"Bhrata?" She called him, her eyes twinkling with guilt as she faced him.

"Yes Badhre?"

"Can I ask you a question Bhrata? If I don't ask you right now then my heart and mind won't get peace."

"Badhre, don't hesitate. Just ask me the question that is nagging your mind and heaving your heart with guilt. Ask me Badhre."

"Bhrata don't you think I am doing wrong to her by trapping her in the illusions of the past? The past which is not less than a nightmare to her?" She whispered softly.

"You have no reason to feel guilt for what you did badhre. You are in no way betraying her rather you are helping her in finding herself. You are helping her to attain what she had lost once in her life. So you should not allow yourself to feel guilt instead you should be happy for helping your sister in finding her true self." Krishna said looking into her eyes.

Subadhra nodded her head understanding his words. "But bhrata why am I not feeling good with this? Why do I feel like something bad is gonna happen? Why am I getting negative thoughts Bhrata? Why am I feeling restless?"

"Badhre its natural to feel like it when you have used so much of your power while being a human. Your subconsious mind is restless and it is playing a game with you similar to the one you are doing to her. So, I suggest that you go to you chamber and rest as bit. Everything will become clear to you once you get a bit of sleep" He said patting her head slightly.

Subadhra nodded with a smile on her face and turned around moving towards the door.

"Bhrata will everything be alright?" She asked stopping at the door.

"Only time can answer to that question Badhre. Only time can. All we can do is hope. Hope that everything turns out fine." He said, his face void of emotions.

It was evening by the time the court of Anga was adjourned. Today it seemed more toiling than normal days. Karna walked towards his chamber holding a few parchments in his hand. He looked extremely exhausted. He had lines of worry on his forehead and dark circles under his eyes. His lips were dried and chapped. He looked completly worned out yet the radiance in him glowed brightly like the sun.

Today seemed to be more unpleasent for him than normal days. First thing to start with was Juhi's disappearance from the morning. In the morning all his works were done by the daasis which was usually done by her. Even his food were served to him by the dasis and not her. She seemed to have vanished completlely from the palace from today morning.

He was carving to see her from the morning. Nowadays early mornings and late nights are the two time he sees her other times he was busy ignoring her. But not a day went by for him without him missing her by his side. Missing the times they spent together.

'Seems like you are missing her even after knowing it was you who had been avoiding her.' His heart mocked at him.

He knew he was being selfish here. He wanted her beside him yet he was not willing to forgive her. He want her yet he don't want her. He needs her yet again he is denying it.

'What was her fault?' His heart questioned him.

He kept silent for a minute not knowing the answer to the question his heart asked. His stubborn mind came up with many unwanted and stupid reasons but his heart and he, himself couldn't digest it.

'Exactly you yourself doesn't know the answer to that question. Then why are you blaming her? Why are you hurting her with your silence? Why are you punishing her for no mistake of her's? If you don't try to rectify it soon you will end up losing her forever.' His heart said making him sigh.

Thats when he realized what stupidity he had done by being selfish. In his grief he had done not only done injustice to their love but also to her. He left her alone in the time she needed him the most. He accused her. He verbally abused her. He just ruined his life with his own hand.

He wanted to see her. He wanted to rectify his mistakes. wanted to hug her and cry out his pain. He wanted to apologize to her for being ignorant and harshful towards her but she was nowhere to be seen. The time he realised his mistake and wanted to rectify it she had already travelled far away from him.

He entered his chamber silently praying in his mind for Juhi to be there. His eyes widened and the scrolls in his hands fell on the floor as his body froze seeing the sight in front of him.

His Juhi, the girl whom he love more than himself, is lying on the floor, lifeless.
