"do you think we could have gotten too far?"

jaemin turned his head to look at jeno in the eye.

they were both lying on jeno's bed, one at each end of it.

"what does that mean?" he asked.

jeno passed a hand through his jet-black hair.

"like... could donghyuck and his... boyfriend... be really happy despite their differences?"

jaemin raised a brow. "the thing is not about happiness, jeno. it's about morals. donghyuck is way too young for him. and i don't know... their worlds don't fit together."

jeno though for a second.

"their relationship is weird to me..." he explains. "i don't even get how they got to know each other. i mean... those disgusting bikers and us live in two completely different universes. and, i'm sure donghyuck used to badmouth them as much as we do..."

"that's all his boyfriend's fault." jaemin told. "he manipulated donghyuck into his trap. and now he's caught and can't get out."

"or that boy could actually not be a real biker?" jeno supposed.

"what?! of course he is! have you seen his piercings? and he's always with the others! of course, he is one. he just managed to charm hyuck."

jeno hesitantly nodded.

"there should be a way out. there always is." jaemin rambled. "it's like some sort of magic potion. donghyuck has to fall out of love."

jeno stayed silent, staring blankly at jaemin's face.

"but..." he started.

"jeno?! are you starting to think their relationship could be normal?" jaemin asked worried.

"i'm not 100% convinced it is normal, because they are not the same age and everything. but... i'm thinking that we may have been a bit harsh..."

jaemin – who was about to fight back – kept his mouth shut to think for a while.

"w-what made you think that way?"

"i don't know... his parents didn't support him at all... he's alone right now. he's locked in his house, without a phone and he can't get out to see the outside world. his parents are making a big deal out of it... as his friends, we should support him, shouldn't we?"

jaemin slowly nodded, taking into consideration what jeno was saying.

"donghyuck may be feeling like the whole world is against him. even if we don't like his relationship, i think we should respect it... we're his friends after all. we already told him what we thought could happen, now he's got everything in his hands to make a decision. either leave that boy or stay with him. but we did our job."

jeno lifted his eyes to look into jaemin's.

the boy was in a deep reflexion.

"d-does that mean we have to... do against our will?" he asked.

jeno shrugged.

"we did what we could. honestly, i'm not a big fan of that idea, but i don't want our group of friends to split in two teams because of that. we're way stronger."

jaemin agreed. "yeah... we've already lost renjun there..."

after taking part with donghyuck, the boys had been a bit harsh with renjun, trying to convince him how much a relationship like donghyuck's and mark's could be toxic.

in two words, they had fought verbally, and the argument had ended by renjun telling them that as long as they had not discussed about it and decided to say sorry to donghyuck, he would support the tanned male and stop talking to them.

so, jeno and jaemin had been left alone for a bit more than a week now.

"jaemin." jeno called the boy, patting the space next to him on the bed. jaemin crawled next to jeno who held him tightly against his side, making his heart beat way faster.

"i really care about you..." he whispered against jaemin's temple. "and i care about renjun too. i don't want the three of us to break apart because of something like that. i care about the others too, of course. but renjun and you have a certain place in my heart. i will really be broken if we came to... you know?"

jaemin felt like crying at what jeno told him.

he slowly tried to get out of jeno's embrace and sat on the bed.

"jeno... i need to talk to you..." he said, making jeno sit down as well.

"are you okay, jae?"

jaemin nodded. "i just... i feel like you. i care about everybody in our group of friends. but renjun and you have a way more important place in my heart. i think i..."

jeno raised a brow. "you...?"

"i think i like you."

jeno stared at him in shock.

"y-you... l-like me?"

jaemin nodded, tears forming in his eyes. "i know it's wrong and all, but i developed feelings for you..."

"b-but..."

was jeno going to reject him?

well, surely.

but it hurt like hell...

what had jaemin done? he was breaking their group of friends even more by doing this...

"...w-what about renjun?" jeno asked, quite shocking jaemin. that's not what he was expecting.

"huh... i like him... as well." he said unsure. "b-both of you...?"

jeno's face lightened up.

renjun and him had talked about their feelings in the past, when jeno had started being mad at jaemin because he always wanted to go 'boy seeking'.

the two boys had understood it was all jealousy, and that it happened because jeno liked jaemin.

that's when jeno and renjun had discovered their mutual feelings.

but what jaemin had just told him now made everything 10 times better.

"you do?" he asked with a smiled.

"y-you're not mad?" jaemin raised a brow, fearing his reaction.

instead, jeno pulled him on his lap, so that the younger was straddling him, and he hugged him so tight jaemin couldn't breathe anymore.

"jaemin. you can't know how much i wanted to hear those words coming out of your pretty mouth..."

jaemin raised a brow, still confused about the sudden positive reaction.

"i like you as well, jaemin. i like you so much..."

jaemin smiled at what he heard. jeno did like him?!

that was the best day of his life.

"and, jaemin..."

the younger looked at his crush.

"i like renjun just like i like you. i can't live without the two of you."

jaemin started crying of joy.

more than the best, that was the bestest day of his life.

"and you want to know a secret?" jeno smirked.

jaemin nodded eagerly.

"renjun has the same feelings as both of us." he whispered.

jaemin smiled brighter than ever, hugging jeno tight.

"let's go talk to him, jeno."

the older nodded. "we'll go. but before, we need to fix things with donghyuck."

and jaemin completely forgot how much donghyuck's relationship displeased him in the first place. he was just happy that his two crushes returned his feelings.
