"lee donghyuck, for the third time today, pay attention to my class." the teacher interrupted donghyuck's daydream. "next time, you're out."
"yes sir." donghyuck coughed, straightening up and focusing on the board again.
i mean, you couldn't really blame him. that history lesson was more than boring and he had gotten with mark the night before. needless to say, his mind couldn't help but wander to the older boy.
it was like magical. he couldn't focus.
even though he tried to keep his eyes glued on the awful war pictures displayed on the board, they magically wandered to the white ceiling where he would picture mark smiling at him.
and then, he would picture him asking him out again and again, because that was surely one of the best moments of his life, and also, he would picture their kiss, because it was donghyuck's first kiss ever and he would remember it forever.
mark was just perfect. donghyuck couldn't get how that boy – that seemed to scream 'trouble' when you saw him at first – was in fact a whole sweetheart with him, made of 100% boyfriend material. he was so happy to be finally his.
"LEE DONGHYUCK!" the teacher slammed his hand on donghyuck's desk, making donghyuck fall of his chair. "OUT OF MY CLASS! RIGHT NOW!!"
and that's how he found himself being brought by a random girl of his class to the library for the rest of the hour.
"hello." the girl greeted the librarian – whom donghyuck knew well.
"hel- donghyck?" she raised a brow finding it strange how donghyuck was escorted to the library at the middle of an hour.
"mr jeon wants him here for the rest of his class. and he asked for him to have something to do." the girl explained before leaving.
mrs park looked at donghyuck strangely. "what did you do?"
"i was daydreaming..." donghyuck smiled, a picture of mark appearing on his mind.
"that's... unusual of you." the librarian replied. "so i have to find you something to do?"
"yeah, that's what they said."
mrs park looked around the library for an instant.
"this boy might need your help. he has been sitting there for long and... i'm not sure he's really learning anything. make sure he learns something before the end of the hour."
donghyuck nodded before walking towards the direction mrs park pointed, not really paying attention to the boy sitting there.
"hello, i- "
"donghyuck?" the boy interrupted him.
donghyuck stopped talking immediately, his eyes widening. "m-mark!" he exclaimed.
the boy he had been dreaming about all night and all day was there, in front of his eyes. he could finally touch him!
he sat on the chair next to mark and pulled the older boy in a hug, inhaling his manly scent as mark dropped a long kiss on the side of his head. however, mark pushed him away quickly, saddening donghyuck.
"i'm sorry, jaehyun is here. he just got up to grab a book. if he sees us, he'll be mad." he explained quickly.
that's when donghyuck noticed a leather jacket messily put over the backrest of the chair opposite mark.
"oh, okay." donghyuck nodded, understanding. well, that's what he had agreed for, he couldn't be mad or hurt. "i was obliged by the librarian to come and help. so i have to." he explained.
mark nodded before diving back into his work, doing as if he didn't know donghyuck.
a minute after, jaehyun arrived with a pile of books and threw them on the table startling odnghyuck.
"what's that nerd doing here?" he asked with a head motion towards donghyuck.
"he has to help me working." mark explained, his eyes focused on his book.
jaehyun huffed. "well he can fuck off, i'm here."
donghyuck gulped at what mark's friend just had told him. 'he can fuck off.' is that the way mark spoke to people like him as well?
"he has been obliged jaehyun. he stays." mark said sternly. "plus, he has already been a good help."
the oldest scoffed. "a good help, huh? that boy is a kid. he's 12 what can he help you with? your grammar?"
"jaehyun, this boy is 16 and not 12 and he's way more intelligent than people of his age. that's why he's here to help me." mark slammed his book shut.
donghyuck stayed silent, looking the two boys fight.
"well, i have the ability to help you, because i am 21. and if you had worked a bit instead of doing nothing of your life, you would have passed your classes like a normal student, and you wouldn't need the help of kiddos to raise your fucking grades!"
"please, a bit of silence over there!" mrs park silenced the three boys.
mark and jaehyun didn't break their eye contact for long. and they stayed in silence.
donghyuck didn't even dare to interrupt them.
"i'm leaving." jaehyun declared, standing up. "learn well with your new teacher. hope you'll have a better grammar." he added before storming out of the library.
mark sighed, slamming his head on the wooden table. "fucking damn shit."
and donghyuck stayed silent once again.

"donghyuck!" jaemin exclaimed once donghyuck had gotten out of the library. "what happened, why did you get out of class? what were you thinking about?"
donghyuck pulled on his own hair, closing his eyes.
he thought about the history class again.
about the first warning, the second, the third, and the last.
he thought about the library.
about the disappointment in mrs park's voice.
he thought about mark and how he was happy when they met.
but then he thought about jaehyun and how he treated him.
he thought about how mark and him fought verbally over him.
and yeah, he came to the conclusion that mark and him were not meant to be.
but... it was their first day together.
it couldn't be the right conclusion...
"donghyuck?!" jaemin yelled.
"what?"
"you're dozing off again..." jaemin explained. "what's on your mind?"
he sighed. "too much jaemin... way too much..."
