War's POV

The beginning notes of one of  Chopin's etudes drifted to my ears. I wanted to hug my new driver Yin for choosing it because it was one of my most favorite etudes of Frederic Chopin.

I slouched in my seat and closed my eyes to enjoy the beautiful sound.

The beginning notes of another Chopin composition, a polonaise this time, came to my ears just as Yin turned into the entrance of my university. Too bad I won't be able to finish listening to the whole piece.

"What time do I need to come back to pick you up?" Yin turned his head to ask me after he stopped in front of the building where I was going to attend one of my morning classes.

"Oh, since it's a Tuesday, I only have three subjects to attend, so I will finish early" I replied. "Please pick me up at two."

"Roger that," Yin said with a mock salute.

"Thanks," I said as I stepped out of the car. "See you later."

"Yes, sir," I heard Yin say to me.

I walked over to his side. I motioned for him to lower his window.

"I don't like to be addressed as sir," I said to him.

"Understood, sir," he said with a grin.

I glared at him before walking away to climb the stairs to the entrance of my building.

My second class ended just before lunch time.

I walked towards the university cafeteria dreading whatever food was going to be on display behind the glass counters.

I wasn't much of a fan of cafeteria food but I had to eat something.

Fortunately, today I saw better choices from previous ones.

I told the food server behind the counter to place some of the fried crunchy pork strips on top of the pile of assorted vegetable chop suey and a cup of steamed herbed white jasmine rice on the side..

"Thanks," I said to the food server after he handed me my plate.

I then walked over to a large metal receptacle full of ice on which several assorted bottles and cans of soda and fruit drinks were spread out.

I picked up an icy cold can of lemon lime soda and placed it beside my plate on the tray and walked over to the cashier.

"How are you doing today, War?" Carole, the pretty cashier asked as I approached her.

She knew me by name because we were classmates in my Eneglish class during the first semester.

"I'm doing great," I smiled back at her. "And your self?"

'So so," she said with a face but brought back her smile right after.

I quelled the temptation to ask her why she was working at the same time that she was studying because she drove a red flashy sports car that screamed "I am wealthy!" from miles away.

I wondered if she was having problems with her parents and decided to run away from home. I shook my head to keep my brain from cooking up all sorts of situations in her personal life.

"I'll see you around, Car," I shortened her name to Car.

During our English class last semester we had worked together on a project and we had named our team WarCar.

WarCar Team won first place in the project contest and Carol and I decided to celebrate our victory by renting a karaoke room at a well known restaurant downtown.

We had the room all to ourselves and we took turns singing our favorite songs at the top of our voices because we had drank more than the usual number of beer bottles and soon after she had finished singing "You Belong With Me" she turned her face to me. I was sitting real close to her and I turned my face to her as well.

The kiss happened before either one of us realized that it even started.

"I'm so sorry," I said to Carole after we broke apart.

"I'm not," she said with a naughty grin,

I moved to kiss her again but she stood up and said, "Too much of a good thing will make it turn bad."

"You're such a big tease," I complained.

I told my previous driver Sumetikul to pick me up and instructed Carole to leave her car because it was not safe for her to drive herself back home.

I told my driver to drop her off at her place after she gave me her address.

"I'm gonna pick you up tomorrow morning and drive you back here so you can drive it to uni," I told her.

"Thank you, War," she said. "You're a sweetheart." she added and hugged me tight.

I hugged her back, placing my nose against the side of her neck and enjoyed the faint pleasant smell of her perfume.

I got startled by the loud ringing at the cafeteria, signalling the end of lunch period.
