He was wearing a blue suit with perfectly gelled hair. He was looking more dashing with his angry face. Why this person has only one emotion I wonder.

His eyes moved to Gray's hand which was still on my waist. He was looking at him like he wanted to throw punches at his face. Gray sensed the tension in the air and removed his hands from my waist.

Now he shifted his gaze from him to me. His gaze was boring holes in my body, warning me to move away from Gray's presence. But you all know that I don't take his orders.

"Gray, meet Aunt Jennifer's son, Zanvil Adams," I said while intertwining my hands with Gray's forearm.

Gray smiled at Zanvil and extended his hand "Hi Grayson Williams".

Zanvil didn't utter a word and moved his gaze from our intertwined hands to Gray's extended hand. Again he shifted his gaze to my face, took Gray's hand, and said "Zanvil Adams". While shaking it, his gaze was still on our intertwined hands.

And then he pointed to the person standing behind him. I didn't notice someone was standing behind him all this time. "Meet Hazel Smith" he introduced her and then I looked at the beautiful girl who was standing beside him.

She said "Hello" in a soft voice while flashing a smile towards us. She was so beautiful with her brown locks, milky white skin, and hazel-colored eyes. Her name suits her and any man will fall in love with her. Maybe her beauty caught the devil's eyes and he fell in love with her.

He has such a beautiful girlfriend. Thinking about this alone twisted my stomach and I don't know why. I averted my eyes from her and when my gaze met his, he was already staring at me. His face was telling me that he was expecting some reaction but I just cleared my throat.

"Come, Gray, let's go inside. Aunt must be waiting for us" We were about to leave when I stopped and said "see you inside" while with a smile. Hazel smiled back at me.

"Yes see you inside," Zanvil said while smirking with a clenched jaw. Why is he smirking? He moved further and separated me and Gray and passed between us. Has he gone mad?

Now we were all sitting in the dining room. Gray sat beside me and the aunt was sitting on the other side of me. Hazel and the devil were sitting opposite to us, and uncle in his usual place. We were eating our dinner quietly and there was a heavy tension in the air.

"Jennifer, I didn't know you had a grown-up son. You look so young" Gray said while mischievously smiling at aunt and broke the tension in the air. Uncle and aunty started laughing.

"Sometimes I asked this question to myself. How she looks so young now too and I, on the other hand, am growing old day by day" the uncle said joining Gray's teasing. I was laughing at my uncle's statement. I was still feeling his intense gaze on me.

"Oh, you too shut up," the aunt said while blushing. "And Gray if you think flattering me with compliments will make me forget about your cake's secret recipe which you brought last time then you're wrong," she said to Gray.

"You caught me," he said in a surrendering voice.

"Are you hiding it because Jane loved that cake and if she wants to eat it she has to come to you?" Aunt said playfully.

Gray gasped at her sentence "How Jennifer! How you know everything that is in my heart" he said in the same playful manner. We all laughed at his comment except for one person.

He was looking at me with a 'what is funny in that' expression. "How long have you known each other?" came a demanding voice. He was asking that to Gray.

"For about two years I guess" Gray replied while thinking about it. Why does he want to know for how long I knew Gray? Can't he concentrate on his girlfriend? On the other hand, I saw the aunt laughing at his question. I don't know what is going on in her head.

"Hazel, take more pasta. Why are you eating so little? Don't feel shy, think it like this is your home" came aunt's concerned voice. "And I wanted to thank you for taking care of my son when he was away from his family" she thanked her. So they were together all the time. Then why was he roaming in the party with different girls?

I was lost in my thoughts when a soft voice brought me back. "No no, it is not needed. After all, a secretary's work is to look after their bosses and take care of them so that they can run the company smoothly" she replied while smiling. So they have an employee boss romantic relationship in the office.

"But you still deserve a big thank you. Zanvil always used to tell me you made his work easier" the aunt said to her and the uncle agreed to it. So they have lots of fun in the office. What are you thinking Jane? I mentally scolded myself.

"No, actually I should thank you all because he always reminds me of my elder brother and I missed him less while working with Zanvil," she said while smiling. Hearing her words I choked on the water which I was drinking.

Did she say 'brother'? Did I hear it correctly? If she is not his girlfriend, then why did he lie to me? I was still coughing and Gray handed me a napkin. He was also soothingly rubbing my back.

All of them asked if I'm OK except one person.

"Yes I'm ok," I said in a weak voice, and after that, we eat dinner quietly. While leaving, Gray asked Hazel if she wanted a lift. She accepted when Gray told her that his house is in the same way. I said bye to Gray and Hazel and I was about to leave for my room when someone caught my hand.

"What happened to your wrist Jane?" the person who caught my hand asked me in a demanding and concerned tone while inspecting both of my wrists. The color drained from my face. Both wrists had bright red bruises on them.

I tried my best to hide them all day. They were stinging with pain but I ignored them throughout the day. What should I answer the question with? How can you be so careless Jane?

"Hmm...uncle..." mere whispers came out from my mouth. How will I explain that it was his son who has put them there...
