Here's Another Prophecy! Now Let's Go on A Picnic!

Hello, little midgets! For those of you that don't know, that is what I call my readers. I am Da Dam Author, presenting Against All Odds, a PJO/Avengers crossover! I assume that you read the description, but I ONLY OWN THE PLOT AND A FEW CHARACTERS!!!!!!! FYI, this takes place before Age of Ultron, since I don't really know how to incorporate Vision into this.

What else do I say? I dunno. Let's get started!

READ ON, MY LITTLE MIDGETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Annabeth POV

Hi, my name is Annabeth Chase. I'm a daughter of Athena, an Olympian goddess.

I was hanging out with a few of my friends, or Rachel, Piper, Reyna, and Calypso. Reyna's a daughter of Bellona, a Roman war goddess. Piper's mom is Aphrodite, the Greek love goddess. Calypso is the nymph/goddess that got stuck on an island called Ogygia, though Leo, another one of my friends, saved her. She's a daughter of Atlas, a Titan. Rachel is a mortal, but she can see through the Mist and is the Oracle of Delphi. Some of the people in Camp Jupiter had decided to come over. We were just talking about random things. And by the way, I had been given a three-day weekend, so I didn't have school on Friday, so that was I was at camp.

"You know, Percy wanted a Halloween gift from me," I told my friends.

Calypso laughed at this. "Leo wanted a Dia de Los Muertos gift, whatever that is. Boys can be so stupid."

"Tell me about it," Rachel said, rolling her eyes. "Percy is so stupid, it's amazing. I wonder how you manage with him, Annabeth."

"Oh, that's nothing compared to Connor Stoll. He said that since I was Mexican, I should get him both a Dia de los Muertos and a Halloween gift," Reyna said.

Piper laughed. "Jason wanted me to get him new glasses since he got hit in the arm with a brick while they were in his hand, so they broke."

"Hey, at least for Jason it's reasonable," I protested, though my voice cracked at the end, so everyone started laughing, including me. "Apparently I'm still going through pubescent changes," I said, after we'd stopped.

Rachel checked her watch. "I have to go now. Chiron wanted a meeting with me." She started to walk away, but just then, she doubled over. Green smoke started swirling around her. I immediately rushed over. I knew what this was, of course, but I hadn't seen one since last year, when Jason, Piper, and Leo had gotten their quest. As far as I had known, the power of Delphi was still haywire.

Rachel suddenly bolted upright. She opened her mouth, and more green smoke came out. She recited with the raspy voice of the Oracle.

"The son of Poseidon's power shall fade,
from all the trouble the sea has made.
Eleven shall meet with six.
To save the worlds, in ice they'll fix.
Two beliefs, both collide.
The Mist shall save many, one forced to hide.
Neither Aesir nor Vanir, the greedy sea'll rise,
Against all odds, the Amazon defies."

Rachel collapsed on the last word. I held her by one shoulder, and Piper got the other. Reyna got her legs and we lifted her. Calypso looked frantic, and she announced, "Wait! Maybe if I sing a little, she'll wake up! Please, I can try! Just set her on the ground!" I trusted her, so I set Rachel down, and so did Reyna and Piper. Calypso started to sing a slow tune in Ancient Greek. After a little, I started to sway to it. After about three minutes, Rachel woke up.

"Hey," she croaked, "Did I just give a prophecy? I need to get used to more of those." She groggily stood up. "Well, I should probably go to that meeting." She started to walk away.

"Hold up," Piper commanded, "We're going with you."

We started to walk with Rachel, despite her protests. We made it to Chiron's office and as we entered, Chiron noticed us. "Hello, Annabeth, Reyna, Piper, Rachel. What is it? I only recall asking Rachel to come, but you may listen too."

I took a breath before I said, "Rachel just gave a prophecy."

Chiron leaned forward in his wheelchair with a frown. His gaze rested on Rachel, who squirmed under the attention. "Please tell me what the prophecy is."

I recited for Chiron: "The son of Poseidon's power shall fade, from all the trouble the sea has made. Eleven shall meet with six. To save the worlds, in ice they'll fix. Two beliefs, both collide. The Mist shall save many, one forced to hide. Neither Aesir nor Vanir, the greedy sea'll rise. Against all odds, the Amazon defies."

Chiron's face turned pale, like I'd never seen. "This is not good," he muttered. "We need to stay apart. The last time . . ." Then he remembered that we were still in the room. "Thank you for telling me. Perhaps we can postpone the meeting, Rachel? I need some time to think about this. If you would just-"

"Chiron?" I asked, politely as possible. "I recognize to of those terms. Aesir and Vanir- they're sort of clans of Norse gods, right? Gods like Frey, Freya, and Njord were of the Vanir, and the bigger war gods were in the Aesir, or ones like Thor and Odin."

Chiron looked ruefully at me. "As much as I'd like to tell you, child, I can't. I swore an oath millennia ago to never talk of it again. To never meet with them again. I'm sorry. How about you all go for a picnic?" And just like that, he turned away in his wheelchair, wheeling it through a doorway.

A feeling bubbled up inside of me - Anger. Chiron had never kept anything from me, except for the fact that Roman gods exist. But later, I saw sense in that. Now, he was doing it again. Why? Surely, there was sense in that to, and my anger was probably irrational, but I couldn't help being angry.

I counted to ten in my head mentally, trying to get a hold of my anger. I managed to, thankfully, and walked out with my friends. Once we got out of the door of Chiron's office, I looked at my friends. "Let's go tell the others. Let's rendezvous at the amphitheater," I told them, and I ran off. My first stop was at the Poseidon cabin, to talk to Percy. I knocked the door. "May I come in?"

Percy opened the door. "Annabeth!" He gave me a hug, which I gladly returned. He kissed me on my cheek, and I blushed.

I walked into the cabin and sat on Percy's messy bunk. "You need to clean this more, Percy. Anyways, I have news. We just got a prophecy from Rachel, and the first line concerns you."

Percy frowned, and sat next to me. "Can you tell me? I mean, if you can't it's fine."

I rolled my eyes. "Of course I can tell you, you Seaweed Brain." I told him.

His frown remained as he said, "That isn't good, as far as I can tell. I mean, I don't want my powers to fade. But maybe this is for people in the future, like a hundred years from now."

"I don't know, Percy. But something tells me it isn't. But you wanna go on a picnic? After we tell the people, of course."

Percy's face lit up. "Central Park?" he asked.

I laughed and kissed him. "Sure."

He fistpumped, and I led him out of the cabin, convincing him to go slash some dummies. After he left, I sighed to myself. "More people to tell." I left to go and tell some more people. I ended up telling Grover, Nico, Frank, and Hazel. I made my way to the amphitheater, and Rachel, Reyna, Piper, and Calypso were waiting there.

"So who'd you tell?" Calypso asked me. I answered, and she nodded.

"Piper told the Aphrodite cabin," Calypso explained. I nodded at that. Gossip spread like wildfire here, courtesy of the love cabin.

"So . . . should we get ready for the picnic?" Piper asked. Then she answered her own question. "Of course we should." We all dashed off to prepare a picnic.

Meanwhile . . .

Bruce POV

I got up at eight in the morning and entered the dining room of the Avengers tower. I ate a quick breakfast of bread and coffee before I headed to the science lab. I tinkered with some stuff for about an hour, then remembered that I had to shower. So I did, and when I got back to the lab, I found Tony in there, probably working on enhancing JARVIS.

You're probably wondering why we're here. Well, we had sent some messages over to each other, and we'd decided that we'd all visit each other at Avengers Tower for two weeks. But after that, we'd all go our separate ways.

"Hey, you wanna go get some shawarma?" He asked me. Shawarma had been his obsession since our fight with the Chitauri.

"We just had breakfast, Tony," I reminded him.

He shrugged. "For lunch, then? Come on, we're only visiting each other for one and half weeks now. We have to at least do something."

I sighed. There'd be no arguing with Tony - he'd whine like a three-year-old until he got what he wanted. He was extremely stupid like that.

"How about at twelve thirty, we go on a picnic in Central Park ,with shawarma from that shop you like to go?" I reasoned with him.

He sighed. "Better than nothing." He went back to tinkering with his stuff.

I glanced at Loki's scepter. The thing was just sitting in our lab on a stand, free for anyone to take. Of course, they'd have to get through the tower security and the lab security, but I still felt uneasy with it just standing around.

Of course, that was nothing compared to when Tony grabbed it from the stand in the middle of a project of mine and started cackling, "HAHAHA, I SHALL CONTROL YOU ALL NOW!!"

I went back to working on the little gadget of mine. It was a small little thing, but I had big plans for it. I worked on it for about an hour and a half more, with Tony constantly bugging me. So I went to the dining area and had an apple. As I was munching on it, Steve decided to also have a snack.

"Hello, Bruce," he greeted me as he got a granola bar from the cupboard. "What's going on?"

I responded, "Nothing much. But you want to go to a picnic later? Tony's coming. It'll be at Central Park, at one."

Steve shrugged. "Why not? Let's tell the others." He got up from the table with the granola bar still in his hands.

"Hold up. We can ask JARVIS to do it," I reminded him. I looked up at the ceiling. I felt a little awkward talking to the ceiling, but I still commanded the system, "JARVIS? Can you tell Clint and Natasha and Thor to meet us at twelve twenty in the training room? And tell them that we're having a picnic in Central Park at one."

JARVIS replied, "Yes, sir. Is there anything else?"

"No," I answered. I looked back at Steve. "Well, it's done," I said awkwardly.

Steve nodded. I looked at the apple core in my hand and tossed it into a nearby trash can. "Gotta go," I told Steve. I got up from the small table and made my way back to the lab.

When I got back to the little desk I was working on, Tony decided to ask me if I had got anything for him. I responded, "No I didn't. Why don't you make a machine for that?"

He answered, "Actually, I just can get one of my suits to do that." As soon as he said that, one of his suits walked in with a donut in its robotic hand and handed it to Tony, who gladly started to munch on it.

I snorted. "What are those? Your servants?"

Tony looked thoughtful for a second before he answered, "Pretty much."

I rolled my eyes before informing him, "Steve, Natasha, Thor, and Clint are coming with us to the picnic, thankfully."

"Oh, goodie."

I ignored him from that point on till eleven fifty, when I started to prepare the picnic bag, aka an old book bag that I got for no particular reason. I loaded it with a table covering, a book for me to read, a jacket, and a newspaper. After that, I headed over to the dining room to get us some snacks - cookies, brownies, Poptarts, marshmallows, salads, and some other stuff went into the bag. You might ask why there's so much stuff. The answer: Thor's got a voracious appetite.

I realized that we forgot to tell one person about the picnic - Fury. Of course, he wouldn't want to come along, but we'd probably have to inform him about it and make sure it was okay with him. If I told JARVIS to tell him about it, I might not get an answer, so I decided to ask JARVIS where Fury was, and get there.

"JARVIS, where's Fury?"

The voice of JARVIS replied, "In the dining room, sir."

Confused, I replied, "But I'm in the dining room." I know, that was probably not the most intelligent thing to say, but I was mind-boggled, if that's a word.

"He's behind you, sir," JARVIS replied, and I whirled around to find Nick Fury sitting at one of the tables.

"Got you there, didn't I, Dr. Banner?" Fury said. Without waiting for an answer, he asked, "Now, what was it you wanted to ask me?"

"Tony, Steve, Natasha, Thor, Clint, and I wanted to go on a picnic, if that's okay with you," I said, with a little bit of a red face.

Fury gave a grunt before he answered, "Okay. No more than two hours though."

"Thank you, Director Fury," I answered with a grin. I looked at the clock in the room. Twelve ten. I should probably get Tony. I quickly got to the lab to find Tony fiddling with one of his suits.

"Hey, what's up?" he asked me.

I answered, "Get your stuff. I've already got a table covering and the food ready."

"Why so grumpy, old man?"

"Just go. Meet us in the training center."

Tony left the room and I walked out of the lab to take the elevator to the training center. I got there to find Clint and Natasha there and Steve entering. "Tony's coming," I told them, "First we're gonna get some shawarma for him and we'll head to Central Park."

Tony got there in about thirteen minutes in a thick jacket with a bag of Wonder Bread. "What?" he asked defensively. "I like to feed the animals." I could practically hear Steve rolling his eyes.

We got out of the building and entered one of Tony's car and headed for the shawarma shop.

If only I'd known how much trouble was headed for us.

That's the first chapter, also the longest one I've ever written. Don't expect more like them. So how did you like it? How was the prophecy? Huh? Huh?
