Nina and I settle in the space in the attic that had been renovated into a room for me. It's been mine since I grew out of always shadowing my brothers. That would be four years ago.

I dump my phone on the bed and get to unpacking.  The bed isn't very huge but it's big enough to contain two tiny girls.

"Wow, this place is so cute," Nina exclaimed, marveling at our surroundings.

That is true. I look from my purple mini acrylic crystal chandelier to my throw pillow-filled bay window, with the pillows having different shades of purple case around them. And I'm quite proud of the paper-made pom poms hanging on the ceiling by the bay window. It was a gift from my Aunt Sofia last Christmas.

So basically my room looks like a purple unicorn threw up in it but in a cute way.

"Loverboy beckons," Nina announced as she hands me my phone. Xavier's name spreads across the screen over the goofy selfie he took.

"Xavier," I deadpanned.

"Evelina" He responds in the same tone I did.

"Are you ready to have a conversation without whining now?"

"You refuse to heed my to boyfriend needs so I have no choice "

I rolled my eyes even though he obviously can't see.

"So is everything okay there?" He asked.

"Well, so far no explosion or any colored body parts so I guess it's safe to say that everything's fine. Is everything okay at your end?"

"Yeah. I've just really really missed you."
A smile tugged at my lips.

"I've missed you too." Yes, I really did. Maybe when I get back we can finally go on our first date. I'm kinda nervous about that but then I think about it, no matter the status change between us, it's still Xavier.

"Woah there. Lil Cuz. Found yourself another boyfriend already? " 

I turn to the doorway to see Asher leaning against the doorpost with a smirk on.

"Xave, I'll talk to you later." I quickly said, ending the call.

"Alright, I have news for you. I'll tell you next time we talk." I could hear the excitement in his voice. That made me curious.

"What news?" I couldn't keep my curiosity out of my voice. Which is a bad thing when it comes to the old now-my-boyfriend Xavier. He enjoys making me sweat for information from him sometimes.

"Next time. Have fun at your pop's place. Talk to you later Juliet." He hangs up before I could get a word in.

"So.... Does this new boo have a name?" Asher prodded.

"Go away, Asher." 

I walked toward the closet and pushed my suitcase inside.

"I'll just go and ask your brothers then." He shrugged and ran away before I could reach him and stop him. I hear Nina's laughter as I chase the insufferable guy who is just about to put me in major trouble I wasn't ready for.

I get to him just before he reaches the room he shares with my brothers and I do the only sane thing. I jump onto his back and cover his mouth with my palm.

"What's going on?" Max asked. Clearly amused by the situation.

"Nothing. We're just playing a game," I answered. I was already panting from the sprint just now. I felt Asher lick my palm.

"Eww, you're disgusting." I rub my palms on his back to wipe the saliva off.

"I just came here to ask my dear cousins who Xave was and here I am being attacked their crazy sister."

"That would be Xavier Allen. The guy who finally knocked Max off his high horse," Alec answered. I didn't even see him there. His answer got him a smack on his face with a pillow by Elliot.

"Why do you ask?" Max asked.

"I'll owe you one if you shut up," I whispered to Asher from his back. Yes, I'm still on his back.

"No reason. I might have heard his name around school but I wasn't sure it was the same guy."

"And why is my sister on your back?" Max asked.

"Yes Evie, why are you on my back?" Asher shamelessly asked. He turned to look at me with a smirk.

"Because I just missed you so much that I wanted to play chase." I gritted out.

"Mummy said to ask you all to come for lunch outside." I looked down to see Liam standing beside Asher and me by the door.

"Shall we, Cuz?" Asher locks my legs with his arm to prevent me from getting down.

"Let go, Ash. I have to go get Nina." I demanded whiles struggling.

"I'll get her." Aiden offered. Both Asher and Alec turn quickly in his direction.

"Did A.I den just offer to get close to a girl that isn't his sister?" Alec asked. A.I den being the nickname the brothers, Ash and Alec, gave him with we were younger.

"He sure did brother and Pigs must be flying outside now." 

Aiden ignores them and walks in the direction of my room.

"This weekend just got more interesting," Ash said with a smirk, and Alec nods enthusiastically. I smell trouble from these two.

We were met with laughter when we got outside. The sun was out, giving out a soothing warmth. The mothers had lunch ready and served on a decorated long rectangular marble table with cushions on the floor by it as seats.

A.J was playing his guitar and the twins were giggling and jumping to his music. Max, Elliot, Alexander, and Carl were by the lake skipping pebbles over it. Ash set me down and ran to join them. Knowing them it's probably a bet. I guess the theme for his weekend celebration is flowers seeing that the mothers had flower crowns on and the dads and the boys have flower necklaces. This has my aunt Luciana written all over it. Every year a family gets to decide a theme for the reunion. Last year was our family's turn and she went with a color theme. Blue.

"Evelina. I'm been waiting for my hug from you all day." The dads were helping to set the table. After the boys broke more than five plates the mums banned them from helping with table setting.

"Uncle Elijah!" I ran into his arm.

"You grow prettier and prettier every year. Thankfully you look nothing like your dad," he teased.

"You're one to talk. You should be glad you got yourself a pretty wife," my dad responded.

"I keep telling him that," Aunt Sofia commented.

"Like I told you when we first met, thank you for choosing to marry this guy. We all thought he'd stay single all his life."

"I mean I had to. The poor guy chased me all through college and after he graduated."

"Honey, I thought we promised not to bring this up again."

That brought on more teasing from the group with my uncle Aiden also chiming in.

"Now back to the person that actually cares about me," Uncle Elijah said while holding me at arm's length. " How have you been?"

"I've been fine and you? I've missed you a lot." 

"More than your dad?"

"A whole lot more." He looked up at his brother with a smug smile.

"Hear that Felix, she missed me a whole lot more than you." 

"Princess you wound me." I smiled innocently at him.

"Kids, time to eat!" my mum called out.

I look towards the lake to see if the boys were still playing skipping pebbles but found that they had stopped. Nina and Aiden were the ones playing and the boys were cheering them on. I don't even know when they got here. I totally see Aiden taunting Nina into challenging him.

I lowkey can't wait for those two to end up together.
