*Ansh Pov*

"Are you sure they actually accepted our relationship? What if there will be a discussion right now on how to break our relationship?" She asked when we reached my parent's place.

"They are not the type who scheme or say something before someone and say something else behind." I assured her but she continued to frown at me.

"Maybe we should have come for dinner as they asked us to instead of morning itself." She mumbled but I shook my head.

I thought if we take more time then they may change their mind and so it is better to fix everything without wasting any time.

"Don't worry! If they say a single word on our relationship in a negative sense, I will immediately run away with you from this house and will not let them say anything bad towards you." I added and she sighed nodding.

After we got down from the car, I frowned at another car in the parking area which I haven't seen before.

When we walked inside, I found Mom glaring at the steps saying, "I told you that she already knows about this matter."

"If that is what she wants then why did they separate and acted like it was a mistake." Dad added and Kirthi glanced at me hearing those words.

"Are they talking about your act?" she whispered and I shrugged as I don't have any idea what they are talking about.

"Mom! Dad! What happened?" I asked clearing my throat and they both immediately turned to glance at us and Kirthi held my hand tightly the moment they glanced at her.

"Good thing that you are here, Ansh. You don't know what is happening at this house." Mom said while I frowned walking forward with Kirthi and they didn't seem to be actually thinking about Kirthi at all.

Before I could repeat the question, we heard footsteps and glanced up to find Anusha climbing down the stairs but I got confused looking at the people climbing down behind her.

I immediately recognized Satvik and asked him with a glare, "What are you doing here?"

However, he calmly replied, "Good morning!"

I took a step forward but Kirthi held me back before I can do that and I frowned at her but she shook her head.

"See? This is what's happening at our home. And your sister knows about it and is even happy about it. She even suggested why is he living in a guestroom when a couple should live together." Mom commented and everyone stared at Anusha with shocked expressions.

"Mom! I thought it was someone else and not him." She said walking towards us and I got more confused thinking did she get a boyfriend.

"I mean, I thought it was Kirthi." She added and groaned..

"You know her?" Dad asked and Anusha nodded her head before standing near us.

"She is an amazing woman and Bhai is lucky to have her. She deserves some amazing person, but I am okay with Bhai being with her. So, I want you both accept her." Anusha stated.

"We will talk about her later. I don't want the people who looked down on us and with whom we have the rivalry living in our home no matter what is your Dad saying." Mom Stated.

"Rivalry?" Kirthi asked, looking at all of us.

"Yeah! Grandfather's from both families fought with each other for some land and it became a family rivalry." Anusha explained.

"Really? Where are they?" Kirthi asked, looking around.

"Who?" I asked and we all frowned at her.

"The people who started this rivalry and for whom the fightings are still going on. I mean, you all are fighting this much in honor of them and they must be feeling very happy. So, I just want to see their happy faces. Where are they?" she asked smiling.

"You are fighting to not hurt their feelings, right? So, where are these happy people?" she added when we all just stared at her in shock.

After a few seconds pause, the lady standing in the group with Satvik stepped a little near to her asking, "Why didn't we meet you before my Son met Anusha?"

"Hey!" I immediately said, pulling Kirthi in my arms protectively while frowning at Satvik's Mom.

"Yeah! And then we wouldn't have this much pain in two lives if that had happened. You just washed out the base of the rivalry." Satvik's Dad whom I remember from a meeting during the company meetings commented smiling at her.

"It's okay! I am already your adopted daughter so you need not feel bad." Kirthi said brushing off and I immediately glared at her.

"I am joking!" she added but I didn't back down.

"We will leave!" saying that the people with Satvik walked off leaving the house while Satvik stood at his place.

"Satvik! You need to leave. I don't know what you are playing at but I do not want you to hurt my sister anymore." I said looking at him.

"Ansh! Did you ever feel like you let the person you love down?" He asked and I nodded frowning.

"You got a chance to rectify it?" He added to which I nodded again but couldn't help but think why is he asking all that making me remember how I nearly lost her.

"This is my chance!" He stated and I couldn't help but tighten my arms around Kirthi while she fidgeted whispering my parents are here.

"Ansh! He is saying you may even run away to get married. You will not do it, right?" Mom asked and I immediately glared at Satvit.

Is he trying to get my parents not to accept us at all? I thought and found Mom's panic look and realized I have another option to fix their acceptance.

"I may if I have to leave Kirthi." I stated which made her stiffen in my arms while I brushed it off thinking I will explain to her later my plan.

"You both will be staying here." Ordering that Mom walked off while Dad stared at her in shock.

"I am staying here!" Satvik stated which made Dad's attention turn towards him.

"Fine! But remember this will not be like a piece of cake, Satvik." Saying that he too walked off.

"Kirthi! Can I talk to you?" Anusha asked reaching us.

"Sure! But after I order your brother that I am leaving for my home after talking to you." Kirthi replied glaring at me.

After they both walked away, I turned to glare at Satvik who just smiled at me. She is really angry right now because of my threat to my Mom.

And they want us to live here now which is definitely not in Kirthi's plans. I wouldn't have got tempted to say those words if not for Satvik's statements to my parents.

"What have you done? Do you know how difficult it is to make her stay here?" I asked shaking my head.

"You are welcome!" saying that he walked off while I shouted feeling frustrated and fisted my hair trying to think of a way to make her stay.

I sat down on the couch still thinking on how to make her stay because this is a good chance to get my parent's acceptance.

I don't care whether they accept us or not as I already made plans to leave the company and the house to be with her because I am sure they would accept us one day. However, this is important for her that they accept us.

She is different from Anusha in that aspect as Anusha tried to fight to get Satvik's parents acceptance during their marriage period but after everything Kirthi went through in childhood, she will not wish to go through such period and she has a right to not go through that.

However, I still think it is better to stay here itself but I don't know what to say and how to say anything which would make her accept it.

I sighed standing up thinking I will go mad if I don't talk to her right now and walked towards the way they both walked off earlier and heard Anusha's voice.

"I thought you already joked about him being your brother." Anusha mumbled and I frowned at those words.

"Well, that was before I heard the whole story. Now, he has some potential to be my brother." Kirthi said and I glared at her while reaching the door.

"So, don't be mad at him, but be as much mad as you can at your brother." She added and I couldn't help but freeze at those words.

"Why are you suggesting her to be mad at me? What is happening here?" I asked folding my arms and they both turned to glance at me with frozen expressions but Kirthi recovered immediately and even smiled.

I gave them a confused look thinking what did I even do for which Kirthi is making Anusha stay mad at me and found her signaling my sister with her eyes.

"How could you lie to me, Bhai? I was worried for you and making plans to get you both together. But you both were never apart." She asked and I immediately glanced at Kirthi realizing what happened here.

"You told her? Wait! You are actually pushing her to be mad at me instead of convincing her to not be mad at me?" I asked in a shocked tone.

"What you did was wrong and you deserve whatever she throws at you." Saying that Kirthi pointed out at the vase beside my sister.

"Why did it have to be you..." I trailed off, shaking my head, and turned to stare at my sister.

"I know that you can't hide much from our parents, Anu. I felt guilty all the time when I was lying." I explained but she shook her head and folded her arms copying me while I let go of my hands to stand properly.

However, I remembered something from what Satvik said that day and immediately stared at her with a pointed look.

"Someone informed me that you used to lie near me before when you are going to meet him." I added after she stayed stubborn even when I apologized a few times.

But then I realized what I just said and cursed myself and found her walking towards the bed before sitting on it with a shocked expression.

"Fine! I lied to you and you lied to me. Now onwards the slate is clear and you will not make me feel guilty too." She offered suddenly and I nodded smiling at her before glancing at Kirthi.

"Kirthi! We need to stay here. Finally, my parents are thinking about us, and you said you will not marry me unless my parents are fine with it." I pointed out and Anu immediately shrieked surprising us before walking towards us.

"You both are getting married?" She asked in an excited tone but stopped me from saying the words I wanted to say.

"Maybe! I mean only if his parents accept wholeheartedly otherwise I am not marrying him and we will live like this only." Kirthi replied and I gave Anu an irritated expression.

"See this woman here, Anu. What do my parents have to do with my marriage? Can't she understand I want to marry her? But she is not accepting at all." I complained but Anu just burst out laughing making me frown at her reaction.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked glaring at her.

"I remember your words about loving someone and the word marriage and many more things." She explained and I looked away coughing.

"Fine! I will stay, but there are a few conditions." Kirthi stated and I immediately turned to glance at her but she is looking over my shoulder and I thought maybe she is angry that she had to stay here.

"I am fine with everything." I immediately accepted not caring what those conditions could be.

"You will not object me if I want to do a few things." She pointed out to which I snorted knowing well she is up to something again.

"After meeting you, did I have any right at any time to object you?" I asked with a fond expression and she smiled at those words.

"Good!" she said, blushing a little, but cleared her throat.

Then she got a big smile before looking at the same place she looked before saying, "Bhai! Do you want me to help you settle?"

I frowned at her and turned around along with Anu only to stop in my tracks looking at Satvik standing near the doorway.

"I am all settled." He replied looking at her with a surprised look.

"I just heard her laughing and so I..." he added when I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Why are you calling him as your brother?" I asked her frowning.

"I am adopting him so that I can save him from your parents. We both will make strategies also." Saying that she started walking towards Satvik.

"I hope you remember the condition." She added before finally leaving the room with Satvik who was chuckling from the time she talked about adoption.

"Didn't she find any other punishment to give me?" I mumbled shaking my head.

"Why are you calling him as a punishment, Bhai?" Anu asked looking at me.

"Her brother means my brother-in-law and I don't want to see him again in that position after hurting you like that." I replied and she immediately hugged me.

"Why am I not that angry at him, Bhai?" She asked with a confused voice and I sighed patting her back.

"Because you love him. Do you know Kirthi rejected to be something more in my life and I was so hurt when that happened? But then when she just said the words that she loves me all the hurt went away. That's what love does." I replied and she moved to look at me.

"But that doesn't mean you go throw yourself at hurt again and again also. Just think was it so easy for him to ask you to leave and it would be easy again in future. But if he is lost without you then you may give him the chance. Then again, it depends only on your wish." I added smiling.

"Are you supporting him?" She asked in a confused tone.

"No! I am saying that I am and I will support my sister no matter what she is going to decide." I replied and she smiled at those words.

"I will help you to make our parents accept Kirthi." She offered and I chuckled nodding at those words.

"Okay! Let me control my expression." I mumbled calmly myself to not smile anymore.

"Why?" She asked frowning.

"If I don't then that Satvik will think he got my acceptance and even Kirthi will really adopt him as her brother. He needs to work hard to get to you, right?" I pointed out and she sighed with a lost expression.

"Don't worry! Just lead your life like you are doing recently. Think about him only if you want to and no one is going to force you." I assured her and she nodded before we both walked out of the room and walked towards the place where we found both of them standing.

I walked towards them with an angered expression and when I was about to reach them, Kirthi's voice reached us making my act become a reality.

"Bhai! I want to know my family more. Why don't we go now and meet them?" she asked the moment we reached them.

"Kirthi!" I called her but she completely ignored me and continued to glance at Satvik.

"Sure!" He replied and I reached my limits for today.

I held her hand and turned her around before bending down to lift her up on my shoulder. I gave Anu a nod who is looking at my action with mouth wide open before walking towards the stairs.

"Ansh! Put me down right now." Kirthi warned while slapping my back but I ignored her and carefully climbed the stairs and she stopped fidgeting when we started climbing as it could hurt both of us.

When I reached my room, I closed the door behind us and finally dropped her on the bed and she glared at me while moving to sit us.

"Where do you want to go? To meet your new family? Then what about me?" I asked pushing her back and lay down over her.

"Don't be jealous, Ansh! I was just teasing you and..." I sighed placing my head on her chest.

"I am sorry that you have to stay here before my parents accept you. I will make sure they don't disrespect you." I promised to which she moved her hand to caress my hair.

"I know! I will take care of myself and will make sure no one disrespects me. But I want you to not think too much about these things and feel pressure. You have been working long hours all these days without rest and try to rest as much as you can." She mumbled and I turned my head to stare at her.

"I will rest but I don't want you to take any pressure too." I pointed out and she smiled at those words.

"Do you really think I will let anyone give me any pressure?" she asked and I chuckled before leaning over to kiss her.

"I will... will not keep anything in my head and tell you if something is going wrong. Just like you even I don't want to lose you." She whispered kissing me back and I tightened my hold on her at those words feeling relieved and letting go of all the worries.
