Idiot
(For reference, Michael is 17 and Charlie is 16 in this.)
"Charlie, Michael's here!" Spoke Henry's muffled voice, Charlie tinkering with Stanley with her little tool kit. A couple of his screws came loose, her deciding to check over him as a result. The teen looked over her shoulder to face her closed door. "Tell him to come upstairs, I'm fixing Stanley!" She called, turning back to face her beloved horse. After a moment, she could hear footsteps as they ran up the stairs. There was then rapid knocking on her door. "Char-o-leeeeettttee!!!~" Michael called in a high pitched, taunting voice. "May I come iinnnnn?" He asked in that same tone, causing a soft smile to form on Charlie's face. "Yes," she said loud enough for Michael go hear, grabbing a small screwdriver from her kit. The door then swung open, revealing the male from the other side. "I come bearing giiiifts!~" Michael continued in that same voice, holding a slushie in one hand and a gas station bag in the other. Charlie didn't turn to look at the male, screwing the loose screw on Stanley. "I hear that," she said amusingly, taking a moment to glance over at the male. His dark brown hair was cut into a mullet, ears being pierced and having cross earrings that dangled. He wore a dark gray t-shirt, as well as a black jacket and ripped jeans. Sneakers hugged his feet, squeaking slightly as he walked. Charlie then furrowed her brows, looking over at her alarm clock. It read 12:45PM. Michael didn't get home from school until around 4:30PM.
"You're home early," she commented, Michael sitting next to Charlie on the floor. "Well, you're home all the time," Michael remarked, earning an eyeroll from the female. "Homeschooled," she reminded, Michael grinning as he sipped his slushie. "Suspended."
"What?" Charlie asked, looking up at her friend. "Really? What for?"
"Some dick kicked Lizzy, so I m a y or may not have kicked his face with my fist," he responded, holding up his hand. His knuckles had tiny cuts on them, Charlie taking note that Michael more than likely punched the shit out of him. "Dad and mom aren't grounding me though. They suspended the kid too," he hummed, holding his icy beverage out as a way to offer Charlie some.
"Is Elizabeth still at school?" Charlie asked as she took the drink, sipping it as Michael dug in the bag. "Nah. She was really upset and kept cryin', so Dad took her and Evan home before we came here." Charlie nodded, watching as Michael held up a bag of sour gummy worms. "They only had one bag," he spoke, letting out a dramatic sigh. "Seems as though we have to share."
"Oh cool, I'll remember to eat all f the blue and pink ones," Charlie replied playfully, Michael giving a mocking laugh as he stood. He began to slip his jacket off, tossing it on Charlie's dresser. "What're you doin' anyways?" He asked, looking back at her. "Stanley has a few loose screws. I'm just tightening them really quick," she hummed, earning a nod from Michael as he walked around Charlie's room.
As Charlie began to finish up tightening Stanley's screws, a purple mass came into view from the corner of her eye. "I loooove you, Charlie!" Michael said in a raspy voice, shaking Theodore as a way to make it seem like he was talking. Charlie glanced next to him, snickering slightly. "Is that you or Theodore talking?" She asked teasingly, raising a brow as she began to pack away her tools. "Ew– you wish," Michael said as he bopped Charlie on the head with Theodore, earning a small laugh from Charlie as she tried to push him away.
"Kids, lunch us ready!" Henry called, the two turning to look at the door, exchanging glances with one another.
"No no– nO-" Michael said as Charlie ran past him down the stairs, grabbing the sleeve to her hoodie. "MichAel!" She squeaked, nearly tripping down the rest of the steps. She stopped herself from doing so. "Aht! That's cheating," William called as he pointed at Michael, grin forming on his face. "Disqualified."
"Wha– aw, bullshit," Michael said, Charlie sticking her tongue out at the taller male. "Looooser," she said as she grinned, swatting Michael's hands away as he tried to flick her head. "Sorry– it's not much," Henry apologized as he motioned to the sandwiches that William had helped make. "I forgot to go to the store."
"That's fine," Charlie hummed happily, Michael nodding as he followed her into the kitchen. "Hurry up before I eat yours," Michael threatened, Charlie mocking him as she grabbed one of the sandwiches.
