Good Ending
Michael left out a wheeze, gasping for air as he hugged his stomach. Pain coursed through his body as his blood oozed out of the wound caused by the scooper, struggling to breath as his vision began to swim violently. He screwed his eyes shut, trying to think of something. Alas, his mind was clouded with nothing but the immense pain.
"Mikey!" A voice shouted, causing his eyes to open. A breath left him as he saw two glowing figures before him. A little girl with vibrant, orange locks, and a boy that held a golden bear plush. They held each other's hands, the little girl wearing a big, bright smile on her freckled face. Michael's eyes flickered between the two. He began to tear up. "I..," he gasped. "I'm so s-orry," he wheezed faintly, not being able to face his siblings without feeling guilt. "I t-tried to fix it."
"Mikeyyyy, it's okay!!" Elizabeth said, skipping over to her older brother. "You tried and that's all that matters! Right?" She looked over her shoulder at Evan, whom hugged his plush to his chest as he stepped closer. Michael began to shake his head, the guilt he felt only increasing. "I-t's not," he breathed. "It's not okay."
"Michael," Evan spoke, staring down at his brother. "I forgive you...that's what you're upset about, right?" He asked, Michael letting out a shallow breath. He could feel his pain beginning to fade. "I'm u-pset about a-a lot of things," Michael admitted. "H-How can you forgive me?" He asked, looking Evan in the eye. Evan blinked. "It was an accident," he simply responded. "Accidents aren't on purpose."
"I f-fucking killed you," Michael said, slight whine in his voice. "Isn't that en-ough to hate me?"
"Not if I'm right here forgiving you," Evan responded, tilting his head slightly. Michael began to regain his vision, the nauseous feeling he felt before subsiding. What was happening?
"C'mon, Mikey!" Elizabeth said cheerfully, putting her hand out to her brother. Evan did the same, smiling softly. "We're gonna have so much fun! It'll be just the three of us!" She cheered, Michael finally breathing normally. Every bit of pain he felt before had gone away. He sniffled slightly, biting his lip. He then hesitantly grabbed their hands, standing up. Elizabeth giggled excitedly, staring up at Michael. "Let's go get ice cream!" She hummed, earning a soft chuckle from Michael as they faded away, the room going silent.
