streams of salt down my face of fury

my eyes haven't dried since last autumn

but what pools upon my darkened cheeks

cannot compare to the vengeful storm

by the time our next springtime arrives

nobody will be left in the wake of her

does she know her own destructive power

perhaps that is exactly what will drive her

the plates will be shaken by her wrath

anger that boils for years and years to come

beating hearts who ignored the red hot

no longer able to cower in guarded guilt
