on the day we finally meet

i would take you for a drive

to the moon and back twice around

but if we still have some time left

let's take a little stroll around

and see the whole galaxy too

we'll hang up the newborn stars

that sprinkle across your eyes

then we'll watch the dragon fly

since he brought the two of us together

we'll thank the mother of the night

for having compassion on us

then we'll join her for a drink

until we can't feel our toes

when it comes time to say goodnight

i'll kiss the crown of your raven hair

sleep under the moonlit blanket

and dream of our constellations

tomorrow we will start again

and take the long way home
