we were unstoppable

every night our flames together

our breaths come into one

your electric kiss on me

enough to keep the glow alight

i thought i would be enough

to touch the heat and not burn

i was the golden orange yet

your flame burned bright blue

singeing my fingers first

then spreading to the heart

i took the first sip of you

your lips intoxicating me

but we burned too fast

and we burned too bright

i never should have let

a brighter flame consume me

so i hope you find someone

who blows your fire out
