Madoka, Sayaka and I reach the garden, which we now know as our battlefield. Sayaka changes to Magical Girl form before entering. There is a sense of dread, so strong that we nearly run away. The only thing holding us back is the fact that this is the make or break moment and that running would count as fleeing.

     Sayaka opts to go first, to be on the offensive. She actually dashes inside, dodging any obstacles in the way. We follow her, the leaping azure figure into a ground devoid of greenery.

    The familiars surround Sayaka to attack her. She slashes at them, in multiple strikes. Madoka tries to take them down with her bow. Two crumple to the ground.

    Mami and Kyōko arrive. They come to me. We share a look of horror. The view of Sayaka battling it out alone is too much for us to handle. It is especially so for Mami and Kyōko, who inadvertently change into their forms. They tell me about the confusion on realising their forms trying to take over them earlier. I point out that there's no time for discussion.

    Kyōko blazes forward, spear in hand. She tackles the familiars on Sayaka. They are confused for a while, but seem to come back to their senses. Sayaka and Kyōko are back to back, while their current opponents stand around them in a circle.

    Mami goes to Madoka and tells her something, after which the latter goes towards Homura by a different route. She beckons me to get the people out to safety, reassuring me that they will handle everything. I reluctantly walk out, getting every last soul  to leave the area before they died. Apparently death threats work very well when accompanied with crazy weather. I turn around to return and find myself frozen.

     Something stirs inside. Deep colours of black and purple spread from the center, threatening to blind me. I fight back, using my will and see a glimpse of silver lighting up at an edge. It begins to surround and eliminate the darkness. At least until there is enough light to see the inside, which I find to be blocked with an invisible barrier. The barrier appears to be sphere shaped, such that nothing can enter even from the top or bottom. Sayaka is still slashing at the familiars, attempting to use new moves. To the side are Kyōko and Mami, both unconscious. Madoka lies next to them, picking up Mami's gun - her arrows may be all used. The look of sadness is evident on her face. I am interrupted by a whack on my leg.

It is Kyubey.

"Are you ready now?"

"Ready for what? I don't know how to help them, I can't even enter the grounds."

"That is an isolation barrier created by one of them inside. They probably wanted to protect you, but you've come here for a different reason right?"

"I know my purpose."

"Tell me if you're going to initiate plan Z. I'll ask Madoka too, the barrier won't affect me, it's very specific. We can then decide our final plan with a combined answer from you two."

"Sure, whatever."

    It leaves my side, entering the ground with a leap.

    I break into the barrier this time. A pink/purple aura protects me from the elements. Kyōko wakes up with a start. She calls out to me, telling me to do whatever is required, and that she'd go along with it. Madoka notices us and smiles, ready to finish what is started.

The circumstances are pretty dire, but I am not done for yet. What is my final choice?

Keep Kyubey away from the area, disallowing it from meeting Madoka: Ending 3
