07. Spies
"He's not lying," I say to Allison, looking up to see Gerard walking inside the school. He was wearing a suit and seemed to have a little name tag on his shoulder as well.
Allison looks over at Gerard. "How is he the new principle? What happened to the old one?"
Stiles shakes his head. "I don't know. Apparently he just left."
Allison closes her eyes for a moment before opening them again. "Where's Scott?"
"At the lacrosse field-" Stiles starts to say before someone walks over to Allison. I raise my eyebrows when I see that it's Lydia, looking stunning if I do say so myself. She really did step up a notch; since the last time I saw her she was naked and had crazy hair.
"Allison," Lydia says, tugging on her best friends arm. "Can you come with me?"
Allison nods, her eyes a little wide. "Yeah sure."
Lydia tugs Allison away as she gives Stiles a look, saying that this conversation wasn't over yet. I trail after Allison and Lydia as they make their way up to the school doors, myself not helping but notice Lydia's long legs. She was wearing a dark red dress with creme heals that made her look gorgeous. Her hair was in lose curls and she had more makeup on than any other girl I've seen before. She looked really good.
But she wasn't as pretty as Allison.
"What are we doing?" Allison says as they stop in front of the two doors. Lydia stands there for a moment, fixing her hair and make up.
Lydia sighs. "I needed someone to walk inside with me."
Allison raises an eyebrow. "For what?"
Lydia glances over at Allison. "I have been running around in the woods for days and people are going to notice, mostly because I lost 9 pounds from being out there. That's why I needed you to make sure they draw their attention away from me to you."
"But why me?" Allison says, pulling her purse closer to her.
Lydia pops her lips before smiling. "Because I'm not the one who's Aunt is a serial killer."
I widen my eyes as Lydia turns and opens the doors, leaving Allison and I outside. She looks over at me, giving me a look saying that she couldn't believe she just said that before rolling her eyes. Allison walks first before we both walk into the school after Lydia, who was now staring at everyone in the hallway.
I chuckle softly as everyone in the hall stops and stares at Lydia, almost disgusted looks on their faces. Allison hides her smile as well as Lydia stands there completely still, her eyes flicking around at everyone in the hall.
Allison leans closer to Lydia before whispering. "Maybe it's the nine pounds."
Lydia nods slightly before gulping, lifting her hand and flipping her hair. She trots forward, her heals clicking as everyone watches her carefully. Allison stands there next to me as we watch Lydia shove someone out of the way, mumbling under her breath something that I couldn't understand. Allison sighs before looking over at me, laughing a little.
I smile and shake my head before Allison walks off after Lydia, myself doing so as well. As I walk after the two girls, I look around the hallway, seeing that it was quite similar to my school. Except the lockers were a different color and my school had more levels. As I glanced around, I noticed someone who looked oddly familiar. It was a boy with gelled up hair; almost like mine. I remembered seeing him at a Lacrosse game, but I didn't know his name.
I turn back around and catch back up with Allison, seeing Lydia walking far up ahead. Allison looks over at me before smiling. "So, ready to ditch me yet?"
I laugh. "Ditch you? Never."
Allison smiles. "Seriously Corey, if you get bored at any time, because trust me, you will, you're welcome to leave anytime."
I raise an eyebrow, a crooked grin forming on my face. "I'm sure I'll be fine. Besides, I won't ever be bored when I'm with you."
Allison looks up at me, smiling softly before Lydia walks back up and tugs her into a room. She shrugs at me before Lydia marches into the room with Allison, books in hand. I lazily walk into the room as Lydia sits down at a table, shoving Allison into the seat next to her. I glance around the room quickly, seeing that she must be in Chemistry right now. Allison watches me explore around the room before I hear two boys walk into the room, talking above everyone else.
"Stiles-" Scott says before stopping, his eyes landing on Allison. Allison smiles at him before Scott snaps from his daze, turning and following after Stiles. The two boys sit in the back of the room, behind Allison and Lydia, before they continue their conversation.
I hear the bell ring before I see a teacher walk in, sophisticated looking. I instantly could tell that he would be a dick; mostly by the fact that he was carrying a brief case. It's always the business looking ones that were dicks.
"Class," he says, setting the case on his desk. "Get out your books and turn to page 67 and read to page 83 before class is over with, or else you won't get the points for today."
Guess who was right about the dick part?
Allison groans before pulling her book out, flipping through the pages before finding page 67. She looks up at me before glaring at the teacher, turning back to her book and starting to read. I sigh before walking to the back of the room, sitting behind Scott and Stiles. I listen to them talk, confused as to what they were even talking about.
"He was sent to the office," Stiles says, holding his book in front of his face, acting as if the teacher wouldn't see him. "We need to get sent to the office."
"But Gerard will be there," Scott says, his voice wavering.
Stiles sighs. "Scott, do you want to know what happened with Isaac's father?"
Scott nods. "Well yeah-"
"Then man up and get in trouble," Stiles says, lowering the book slightly. Scott widens his eyes before Stiles grins, gripping the book before slamming it down onto the desk as hard as he possibly could.
Everyone jumps before turning and looking at Stiles, even the teacher. "Stilinski, what in the hell do you think you're doing?"
Stiles half grins. "I'm not reading this."
The teacher glares at him. "Stiles, I know that you can't stay focused for more than five seconds, but you still have to read the assignment. If you don't, you can go park your little butt in the office."
Stiles slams his hands on his desk before standing up, cocking his head to the side slightly. "You know Mr. Harrison, I will go to the office. It sure beats sitting in here with your sour attitude."
Mr. Harrison's face turns red. "Stilinski, go to the office!"
"I know!" Stiles yells back before walking to the front of the room. "That's what I just said I was going to do!"
Mr. Harrison points at the door. "Leave and don't say another word!"
Stiles rolls his eyes before walking out the door, turning and giving Scott a thumbs up before exiting. I furrow my eyebrows, wondering why they wanted to get in trouble so much. My eyes flick to Scott, who's leg was now thumping. I could tell that he didn't want to get in trouble.
"Mr. Harrison?" Scott says innocently.
Mr. Harrison whips his head toward Scott, his glasses almost falling off his face. "What McCall?"
Scott takes a deep breath. "Has anyone ever told you that you look like a giraffe with glasses?"
Mr. Harrison practically spits fire. "McCall, to the office! Now!"
Scott stands up quickly before scurrying out of the room, not making eye contact with anyone. I laugh slightly before Allison turns and looks at me, nodding her head towards the door. She mouths "follow them" before I do so, leaving the room and trailing after Scott to the principles office.
"Hey Scotty boy!" Stiles yelps as Scott walks up. "You did it!"
Scott sits down next to Stiles. "Yeah, now where's Jackson?"
Stiles points towards the office before I look inside, seeing the same kid I knew in the hallway sitting in a chair talking with Stiles' father. I furrow my eyebrows before walking through the wall, curious to know what they were talking about.
"I always saw him punching and kicking him when I took the trash out," Jackson says, a snobby look on his face. "I heard a lot of yelling too."
"And you never reported it?" the Sheriff says, writing something down on a notepad.
Jackson shrugs. "No, it didn't deal with me so I left it alone."
The Sheriff looks up at Jackson, giving him a pathetic look before lowering his notepad. "You know, it's a shame. The kids who get beat up are usually the ones who don't deserve it."
Jackson agrees before stopping. "Wait, what?"
I roll my eyes before the Sheriff shuts his notepad. "We're done here."
"Cool," Jackson remarks before getting up out of the chair, exiting the room and walking back down the hall. I watch the Sheriff sigh before walking out of the room, turning and seeing his son and Scott sitting there. Stiles quickly grabs a magazine and shoves it in front of his face, much like what he did earlier in the classroom.
The Sheriff walks out and stares at his son before sighing. He looks over at Scott, who was smiling at him. "Hey, Scott."
Scott nods before the Sheriff walks away, acting like his son wasn't a complete idiot. Stiles lowers the magazine before grinning, nodding his head like he won. I roll my eyes before I look up and see Gerard standing in the office doorway, looking at Scott and Stiles.
"Boys," he says, smiling a little. "Come on in."
Scott and Stiles give each other a nervous glance before getting up, following Gerard into his small office. They all sit down in chairs as I walk inside as well, standing farther off in the corner to listen to everything.
"Scott McCall," Gerard says, pulling out a file with his name on it. "Academically not the most accomplished, but I see you have become quite the star athlete."
Scott doesn't make eye contact with Gerard as he nods his head stiffly, clearly wanting to get this conversation over with. He seemed to be quite nervous.
"Stilinski," Gerard says, moving on and pulling out another file. "Perfect grades but little to no extra curriculars. Maybe you should try lacrosse?"
Stiles sits up as he points a finger at Gerard. "Actually, I'm already-"
"Hold on," Gerard says, cutting Stiles off, who looks upset after doing so. He turns and looks at Scott, making us all grow nervous. "Aren't you two some of Allison's friends?"
Scott and Stiles both nod before Stiles leans forward. "Yes, that we are. Friends. Just friends. We're all great, great friends."
Gerard nods before changing the subject. "Now listen boys, I may be the principle, but I really don't want you to think of me as the enemy."
Stiles widen his eyes before scoffing. "Is that so?"
Gerard ignores him. "However, this being my first day, I do need to support my teachers, so unfortunately, someone needs to take the fall and stay behind for detention."
Scott and Stiles look at one another, devious looks on each of their faces. Scott raises his eyebrow at him before Stiles cracks, sighing. He turns back to Gerard, glaring over at Scott slightly.
"You're lucky I'm a good friend."

"I'm not interested in whether or not they locked away a sixteen year old boy. I'm interested in what's going to happen to that kid when the full moon comes out. Do we have proof?" I hear Gerard say as I stand next to Allison.
I told Allison earlier what happened with Scott and Stiles, so we now where spying on her grandfather and her dad to figure out what their plan was for tonight. So far, we don't know much.
"Is the next step killing him?" Allison's father says as Allison widens her eyes slightly.
Gerard pulls out a little container before dumping out some pills. "The next step is to eliminate the threat. Now, do we have proof?"
Chris sighs. "We have something."
"What is it?" Gerard says, swallowing a handful of pills.
Allison's father looks up. "There were claw marks on the driver's side door of Lahey's car. It was like it was pried right off."
"Pried off?" Gerard says, raising an eyebrow.
"Ripped off," Chris corrects before Gerard looks up, seeing Allison standing in the doorway. He nods towards her before Chris turns and sees, raising an eyebrow.
"Allison," Gerard says, standing up straighter. "Can you come in here for a second?"
Allison shakes her head. "Actually, I can't-"
"It'll only take a minute," Gerard temps again before Allison nods. She glances up at me for a moment before whispering lowly.
"Stay here. I'll be fine," she says before walking into the room. Chris shuts the doors behind her, blocking me from seeing or hearing what was going on inside. I desperately wanted to know what was going on, but I was going to listen to what Allison had said.
I lean up against the wall and wait for Allison to come back out, but it takes her longer than I originally had thought. I was trying to listen inside the room, but instead I heard someone else coming down the hallway. I furrow my eyebrows before I look out and see a man there, wearing a police uniform. At first I actually thought that he was a police man, but then I saw that he had some type of needle he was shoving into his pocket. He wasn't a police man, he was a hunter.
He was going to kill Isaac.
