I managed to follow this Allison girl all the way to her house without her noticing. It wasn't that hard considering the fact that I was basically a ghost. I guess that's kind of cool, right?
I keep my distance as I watch Allison walk into her house, which happened to be huge. She must be rich or something. After Allison disappears inside, I run to the front porch and stare at the door, wondering how I was supposed to get it open. I reach for the door handle but my hand just swipes through it, meaning that I couldn't open it on my own.
"Seriously," I groan before going to lean on the door, myself forgetting that I would go through. I grunt as I go through the door, landing on the tile flooring with a thud. I look around dazily, glad that I just dodged that obstacle. "Ow."
I rub my arm with my hand before standing up quickly, my mouth dropping when I look around at the house. There was a huge staircase in the middle of the room and I could see a kitchen and living room from where I was standing. It was probably three times the size of my house. This Allison girl was lucky.
I shake off my amazement as I run up the stairs, looking for Allison. I glance around at the rooms when I reach the top, still wondering why she had such a huge house. Maybe she has a lot of siblings or something. That must be it.
I slowly make my way down the hallway, searching each room for Allison. I was trying to be super quiet for some odd reason, but maybe that was because Allison could hear me. How can she hear me anyway? How can she see me either?
"Dad, is that you?" I hear Allison yell from her room. She must have heard me walking down the hallway. I dart into one of the other rooms before Allison steps into the hallway, furrowing her eyebrows. She looks confused for a moment before going back into her room, not shutting her door.
I slowly step out into the hall again before walking to Allison's room, somewhat still curious as to how she could hear me. I don't bother to listen as I walk into her room, my eyes widening at what I saw. Allison was standing there with her shirt off, only wearing a white lace bra. I stare as my cheeks turn red before Allison turns and sees me, screaming and covering her chest up.
"What the hell!" she screams before I turn around, covering my eyes with my hands. I mean, I've seen girls in bras before, but this time it was just weird. I mean, I was dead and she was a girl I've never met before in my life.
"I-I'm sorry," I manage to choke out as Allison slips on another shirt. "I didn't know-"
"Who in the hell are you!" she screams at me, myself still turned around. I didn't dare move; I was worried that I'd turn around and fuck up again. Way to go Corey. You most likely just screwed up your one and only chance to get help.
"Allison?" I hear someone say from the hallway. I widen my eyes before removing my hands from my eyes, looking up to see a lady with red hair. I didn't have time to move before she walks right through me, not seeming to be able to see or hear me. "What's wrong?"
Allison stares in shock for a moment before shaking her head, still staring at me. "Uh, nothing mom. I just saw a spider, that's all."
Allison's mother looks suspicious for a moment before nodding her head. "Okay. You better get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day."
Allison nods blankly before her mother turns and walks out of the room again, walking straight through me. It was weird when it happened. I didn't feel a single thing when I did go through things. It was like I was invisible except to Allison.
Allison quickly walks around me and shuts her door before staring me in the eyes, whispering. "What the hell."
I back up slowly as she walks around me again, pacing back and forth in her room. "I can explain-"
"I'm losing my mind," she says, shaking her head. "Oh God, I'm turning into Lydia."
"You're not crazy," I try to say but she's still talking to herself.
"They're going to lock me up in Eichen House," she says, glancing up at me every so often. "What is going on?"
I sigh before stepping closer to her. "Allison, would you listen to me please?"
She looks up at me then, stopping her pacing. "What?"
I take a deep breath. "Okay, first off, I don't know how you can see and hear me, but you seem to be someone who can help me."
"Help you with what?" Allison says, sitting on the edge of her bed.
I walk closer to her. "Help me find Jade and then bring us back."
"Bring you back?" Allison asks. "What do you mean bring you back?"
I sigh. "Allison, I'm dead. I'm Corey, the kid that died on the bridge."
Allison widens her eyes before her head falls into her hands. "Oh my God Allison, you really are going crazy."
I kneel in front of her. "Allison, you aren't going crazy, okay? I don't know how you can see and hear me, but that doesn't matter right now. What matters is that I need your help."
Allison looks up slowly then, her expression changing to anger. I widen my eyes when she throws a fist at me, hitting me dead in the face. I fall backwards as pain explodes in my nose, confused as to why she just did that.
"That's for seeing me without a shirt on," she says while standing. I look up at her with a confused look on my face, not caring about the fact that she just punched me. I deserved it anyways.
"Allison," I say, almost smiling. "H-How did you do that?"
She shakes her head. "What do you mean? Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't punch someone-"
"No, not that," I say while standing, the pain in my face now gone. "You touched me. You actually touched me. I haven't been able to touch anything all night."
Allison raises an eyebrow before she realizes what I meant. "W-why can I do that and not anyone else?"
I shake my head. "I don't know, but it has to mean something, doesn't it?"
Allison nods, dazed. "I suppose."
"Maybe I was supposed to crash on that bridge," I say, coming up with random theories in my mind. I've always been the one to think of every possible solution to things. "What if I was supposed to find you?"
Allison scoffs. "What? Like it was your destiny?"
"Maybe!" I say as Allison rolls her eyes. I could tell that she didn't believe in things like that. "What? You don't think so?"
Allison shakes her head, her face showing that she was tired. "I don't know, but I do know that I'm tired and that I want to sleep."
I step forward. "But we haven't talked about my friend?"
Allison lies down in her bed. "Can't that just wait until the morning?"
I scoff. "The morning? Are you kidding me? I just died and you're telling me to wait until morning to get answers?"
Allison nods while crawling under the covers. "That's exactly what I'm saying, because if you want my help, you'll have to be patient."
I groan. "I should have guessed."
Allison smiles partially before yawning, pulling the covers up over her. She closes her eyes for a moment before I realize that I was still standing there, herself noticing as well. She opens one eye as she scans me up and down.
"One other rule if you want my help. No standing there and watching me sleep," she says as I nod my head, running my fingers through my long hair.
"Yeah-yeah, okay. Sorry, I was just-" I start to say before Allison cuts me off.
"Good night Corey," she says before closing her eyes again. I stand there for a moment before nodding my head, staring at her closed eyelids.
"Good night Allison."

Turns out that when you're dead, you don't get to sleep. Which is like the worst thing in the world because I like my sleep, and if I don't get it, I start to become a crabby person.
I ended up laying on Allison's couch in the living room all night, thinking about how everyone was reacting now about Jade and I's death. I kept imagining my mother and father crying, which honestly made me upset, but I think what made me the most upset was the fact that my parents had to plan my funeral. No parent should have to do that to their child; it should be the other way around. A part of me wanted to find a way to get back home, but then again I didn't want to walk and I didn't want to leave Allison. If I'm going to try and come back, I'll have to stay here until that happens.
Another thing I did all night was wonder what Jade was doing. A part of me was curious as to if she was even here in the same world with me. I mean, she could have moved on and went to Heaven or whatever, but what if she didn't? She's probably out there wandering around, not sure where to go or what to do. It made my heart ache, but I knew I'd find her again soon. I had too.
After I thought about this, it led me to think about the person who killed Jade and I in the first place. I mean, who was driving that truck and why were they in my lane? I desperately wanted to know, mostly because then I could haunt them and whatnot. I mean, isn't that on everyone's bucket list? I've always wanted to haunt someone ever since I was five years old.
Last night I also figured out that I can only go through objects when I want to. However, for people, I always go through them. Like the door; I wanted to get inside, so I managed to go right through it. Also, I wanted to lay on the couch, but I didn't want to go through, so I ended up sitting on it. However, just because I can do this, I can't pick up objects. That's the only thing I can't do other than not be able to touch people except for Allison. I tried all night to pick up the remote to the TV, but I just couldn't do it.
It was now seven in the morning, an hour until school started. I could hear Allison upstairs in the shower, but I didn't dare go up there to talk to her. I already almost fucked up earlier with me walking in at the wrong time, so I didn't want to screw it up again.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I like Allison. Maybe that's the side effect of being a ghost and only having one person be able to hear and see you, but I liked her ever since I saw her at the bridge, before I figured out she could see me. For me at this point, she was the only option if I did want to date someone. However, I don't want to date anyone yet. I mean, I just died. I can't be wanting to jump into some type of dead/undead relationship at the moment. I needed Allison to help me first, then I'll think about this relationship thing.
I was now in the kitchen, sitting on the counter top, watching Allison's mother bustle around the kitchen. It appeared to me that she was making some type of casserole, but I didn't know what kind. Hey, I'm not much of a cook, so I don't know things like this.
She pulls the casserole out of the oven as the sweet smell wafts in my nostrils, seeming to make my stomach growl. Another thing about being dead is that you don't get to eat. I guess you don't have to, but I was still starving. I think that maybe my mind was convincing me of that, but I still wanted to dig my teeth into a huge sausage pizza.
I look up when I see Allison walk into the kitchen, stopping when she sees me sitting there. She stares at me blankly, almost as if she thought everything from last night was some type of dream. I smile at her faintly before I notice what she's wearing.
She was wearing a pretty black lace dress and her hair was in lose curls that covered her shoulders. She was also wearing black heals and some type of flower bracelet around her wrist. If I didn't know any better, it didn't appear to me that she was going to school.
"Allison?" her mother says as she turns and looks at her daughter. Allison snaps out of her daze as her eyes flick from me to her.
"Good morning," Allison says quickly before walking forward, opening one of the cabinets. I hope down from the counter before walking over to her, scanning her up and down.
"You're wearing that to school?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows.
Allison looks over her shoulder as her mother turns her back to us, whispering to me. "No, I'm going to a funeral."
I lick lips. "Aw, you're going to my funeral?"
Allison looks at me abruptly. "No."
I raise an eyebrow. "Then who's are you going to?"
"My Aunt Kate's," Allison says before closing the cabinet, grabbing a granola bar.
I stay still as she walks across the kitchen. "Oh, I'm sorry."
Allison glances at her mother again before whispering. "It's okay. She wasn't the person I thought she was."
"What did you say Allison?" her mother asks as she turns around, now holding the casserole again.
Allison shakes her head before taking a huge bite of her granola bar, muffling her words. "I didn't say anything. Just eating breakfast."
She takes another huge bite as her mother raises an eyebrow, suspecting that something was off. She shakes it off however before walking out of the kitchen, taking the casserole with her. "We better hurry up before we're late!"
Allison shoves the remaining bite of her granola bar before throwing the wrapper away, walking around me. I start to follow after her as she heads towards the door.
"I'm coming with you," I say before she turns around.
"Why?" she says, furrowing her eyebrows. "You didn't even know her."
I shrug. "No, but I need to keep an eye out for Jade. I can do that if I get out of this house."
Allison nods before raising an eyebrow. "I wasn't the one who kept you in this house."
Technically, she was, but I wouldn't dare say that out loud. "Whatever. I'm still coming."
Allison nods before walking out of the house, shutting the door in my face. I groan before walking through the door, trailing after her. She looks over her shoulder at me before smiling.
"What's it like to be able to walk through things?"
I shrug. "It's weird honestly. Feels kind of like you're floating on air."
Allison nods. "What about going through people? That's got to feel weird."
"Feels the same honestly," I say, shrugging. "Only weird thing is that I can't sleep or eat, but I can still feel pain; well, only when you punched me."
Allison grins when I say this. "Well, you should have knocked."
I roll my eyes. "Knocked? How was I supposed to know you were half naked?"
Allison shrugs. "I don't know, but I'm making it rule now that you always have to knock. Plus, no walking through my walls or whatever in the morning or at night."
I nod as we reach the car. "Okay, so does that mean I'm basically forbidden from your room?"
Allison laughs and nods. "Pretty much, yeah."
I nod before she gets into a black Toyota, buckling her seatbelt. I walk through the car door before getting in the passenger seat, getting a weird feeling as I sat in a car again. It was like I was almost reliving my death or something.
"Hey Allison," I say, remembering something from last night.
"Yeah?" she says while starting the car. I turn and look at her before furrowing my eyebrows.
"What did you mean last night by werewolves?"
