002 , "It's just flat out disrespectful"
TWO:
It's just flat out disrespectful
MELANIE WAS UNDER STRICK ORDERS.
"Do not show yourself until necessary" and to Melanie, Peter getting himself into trouble was what she considered "necessary".
"I'm going in" Melanie said, hoping Mr. Stark heard.
"I said stay back until necessary" Mr. Stark practically yelled into his com, but Melanie had already launched herself up, swinging through the air. "What was that! I can't hear you" the girl lied, following peter through the hole in the glass—that he created.
By the time Melanie had landed on her feet Peter had been dragged off by 'the man with wings'. It took Melanie less then a second to feel the man behind her throw a punch. She was quick to dunk, barely avoiding the metal arm.
As the fist swung over her head, Melanie swung her leg out, knocking the man onto his face. He clearly had had fighting experience though because maybe a second later he had spun around and did the exact same thing to her.
The girl groaned when her back hit the ground, but she was quick to gain back her strength and fling herself back up.
Melanie searched around the room until her eyes landed back on the man with the metal arm—who was currently throwing, what Melanie assumed was a sign at Peter.
Melanie sprinted forwards towards the man, shooting webs onto two pillars on opposite sides of the room and beginning to slingshot herself at the man.
"Hey, buddy. I think you lost this" Peter's voice echoed through the terminal and then—out of no where—the sign the metal-arm-man threw at peter, was now hurtling back towards them.
"Oh, Shit" Melanie was mid swing when she noticed the sign. She quickly shot out another web, pulling herself up higher, just barely missing the sign.
"Peter!" Melanie yelled.
"Sorry!" She had no idea where he went, but she heard his voice.
Then once again she felt the tickling in the back of her mind and immediately ducked—only it seemed like the man had been expecting that and had also swung out his other arm, which hit Melanie right in the face.
The girl let out a loud groan falling to her knees "Goodness man—didn't your mom ever teach you not to hit girls. It's just flat out disrespectful" she held her hand to her jaw.
She would have rather not been punched at all, but she was still grateful it wasn't the metal one.
Melanie hadn't been punch by many people. You had to be really good at fighting or super stealthy to get past her Spidey-senses. The only time she had gotten punched was long before she got her spider-abilities, and other then that it was just her hitting herself.
Sure she got hit by a car a few times—but that was completely different.
By the time Melanie had finally stood up, the dude was gone and she was guessing it had something to do with the loud crashing she heard from behind her.
"Hey, Melly! You alright?" Peter asked the girl as she made her way towards the boy.
Melanie let out a loud groan as she shot a web towards whatever Peter was sitting on and pulled herself towards him.
"Dude." Melanie groaned, looking down at the man who was now webbed to the first floor "you got super strength or something?" She asked, while rubbing her jaw.
"There's two of them" The man with the wings groaned.
"Two's better then one am I right" Melanie said, holding her up up for a high-five, which was happily accepted by the boy beside her.
"Guys, look. We'd love to keep this up, but we've only got one job here today and we gotta impress Mr. Stark, so. . .I'm really sorry." Peter went to shoot them with another web, but paused when something attached itself to his wrist "what the—" and then he was swinging through the air.
"Peter!" Melanie Yelled, jumping after the boy as he slammed against the metal bar.
Melanie jumped through the hole in the glass, shooting a web out to Peter as he spun towards the ground, the another up towards the wall she had just jumped out out.
The web had been just short enough so that Peter did not slam into the ground "Ha!" Melanie called out "you owe me five bucks!" She yelled to the boy hanging about ten feet below her.
"Double it for round two?" Peter pulled the web off of his hand and carefully landed on hit feet.
Melanie also let go of the web and dropped to the ground right in front of Peter "deal" the two shook hands before running back towards the action.
AUTHOR TALKS!!
These two make a lot of bets about when they are fighting even though neither of them ever have money.
Peter has like five minutes of screen time in civil war so I'm trying to split it up as much as I can so that act one isn't just two chapters (it's still only gonna be like four).
