"Come on! What are you waiting for?" 

The girl's crystal-clear laughter filled the icy evening air and warmed the heart of the boy who had remained a few steps behind, letting the young woman alone to express her enthusiasm for those little lights on the river that lit up the evening. For him it wasn't definitely something new or surprising, or at least it did not amaze him as it did her. 

"I'm coming, I'm coming. Don't get too excited." The tone he had used had nothing serious about it anyway, in fact it was very playful. And amused. 

Seeing his girlfriend so easily impressed made him smile. It was one of the things he loved most about her, perhaps because she represented the opposite of how he saw things and life.

 Needless to say, he was much more realistic and reasonable than she was. 

"Josef, look!" 

The boy finally decided to join her in watching the small, illuminated boats plying the waters of the river, but he did not dwell on those, but rather on another kind of spectacle. 

It was still a play of light, but it was something extremely different and far more important in his eyes. The glow that illuminated the girl's eyes. And that was another reason that had led him to devote himself completely to her. 

That light that made her eyes shine whenever she witnessed something beautiful or that surprised her. Recently he himself had been the cause of the birth of that sparkle. And he couldn't be prouder of that. 

Compared to this even his successes in his studies only diminished. 

She had managed to become the most important thing for him. 

He had a lot of plans in mind for the two of them. When he imagined his future life, she was inevitably a protagonist with him in that dream. 

Sometimes he laughed at these fantasies; it was indeed true that love could change a person profoundly. 

He had always thought that it would not happen with him, that he would never waste time on a woman. 

And yet there he was, caught in the spider's web, unable to free himself. 

He too was a victim of love. 

He never thought that the love that was extolled by the greatest poets could bring so much joy into a person's life. 

After all, love is a disruptive force, something that takes over your life and changes it completely, something that challenges all your certainties.
