The alarm went off on the bedside table, blasting music from different genres.
Geno rolled over to his right, reaching his arms out to find a certain someone in the bed. He opened his eyes when he felt nothing but the empty bedsheets. He sighed and sat up, rubbing his eye socket.
At days like this Reaper was out doing his job, he would wake up early and leave Geno to sleep.
He whined in disappointment, he was planning to cook something for Reaper at least.

Geno stretched and got off the bed to the alarm, after shutting it off he made his way to the closet but was surprised when he found a note taped to the door.

Geno grabbed it and read:

Happy Anniversary~
Check the closet ;)

"I swear Reaper..." Geno chuckled and shook his head, he grabbed onto the closet handle and pulled it.
All of the clothes had been pushed to each side, leaving a huge gape in the middle.
But in the middle hung a black bag covering something inside. Geno grabbed it and walked to the bed, he pulled the black bag off the hanger, inside was a white tuxedo and red tie.

Another note was taped onto the red tie.

Geno raised an 'eyebrow' but didn't question it, though he was a bit confused. Reaper wasn't the type to go all out, usually on their anniversaries they would stay home or go out for a walk. Each others company was enough for them after centuries of solitude.

In the end he didn't argue and started to try on the tuxedo. He slipped it on pretty easily due to it being a perfect fit. He quietly hummed as he fixed  the tie, looking at himself in the mirror.

Luckily the blood didn't show through the tuxedo to Geno's relief, he walked back to the closet to find two black dress shoes and put them on.

As he finished putting everything on be heard the familiar sound of a portal opening.

"Woah~ Geno you look amazing~"

Geno laughed, feeling his cheeks turn red, he turned around to face Reaper.
He also wore a tuxedo like Geno's, his was black and instead of a red tie, he had a small blue bow tie.

"You look great yourself," Geno complimented, Reaper winked and walked to Geno. He gave him a quick kiss on his check and hugged him from behind, resting his chin on Geno's shoulder.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked, Geno looked at him, a small hint of confusion in his eye.

"Where exactly are we going?" Geno asked, Reaper smirked and let go of Geno. He walked to the other side of the room opening a portal and walking back to Geno.

"Hm?" Geno questioned when Reaper covered his eye, Reaper only hushed him and helped him walk through the portal.

"It's a surprise," Reaper chimed and kept walking with Geno at his side. As they walked a bit longer Geno was starting to hear Monsters talking and cars driving.

The air was chilly for the afternoon, and Geno could tell it was probably going to rain tonight with all the talking about the weather he was hearing.

By the time they stopped Reaper turned him so he was facing the direction of the sounds of jazz music. Geno only stood there in pure confusion and anticipation for what Reaper was going to do next.

"Okay..." Reaper said and removed his hand from Geno's eye socket, "now you can look~"

Geno's eye fluttered open and was stunned at the sight.

A building in cool blue stood before him, it was decorated with golden strokes that went around the building and stopped at the door. The place was filled with a soft, yet bright, golden light. Outside the doors stood two butler escorting monsters in the restaurant.

Geno turned back to Reaper with the a look and pointed at the restaurant, "There?" Geno said in a dumbfounded tone.

Reaper chuckled and nodded, Geno only looked back at him and the restaurant with a shocked expression.

Reaper laughed and linked his arm with Geno's, "come on, we don't want to be late for our reservations do we?~"

"How?" Geno finally said as they started walking to the entrance, he smiled in amazement, "this is....you really didn't have too."

"Nah," Reaper smiled and lead them to the butler, "You deserve it~"

Geno's face turned a small bit red as they were lead into the restaurant. Both Reaper and Geno gasped, the whole inside was covered wall to wall with golden colors. A blue hue was casted over the entire place making it look soft and beautiful.

As they walked farther in the restaurant the blue hue started to get darker, almost a ocean dark. Reaper watched Geno for his reaction as the butler opened another door revealing another side of the restaurant.

And wall to wall it was made out of an aquarium, the walls reached up to the ceiling making it look like they were inside a small dome under the ocean.

Geno quietly squealed and gripped reapers arm causing him to give off a loud laugh. Geno and Reaper continued to walk again mesmerizing all the fish and other animals they couldn't even name.

The butler led them to a table with a small candle right next to the aquarium wall and gave them a few menus to look through. To their surprise, there wasn't anyone else in the room but them, they didn't mind though, they actually liked it better this way.

"So," Reaper smirked at Geno while he looked at the wall of fishes swimming, he could've sworn he saw a shark through the corner of his eye, "what do you think?"

Geno turned back to Reaper and opened his mouth to only close it again, "I...I honestly have no words." Geno laughed and stared at Reaper, "this is amazing, thank you."

"No need," Reaper shrugged and shifted through the menu, "Just thought I should take you somewhere special this time."

"Well you succeeded," Geno laughed and picked up his menu, he raised his eyebrows at the weird names that they had in the menu and so did Reaper, "What's a Boudin Blanc?"

"Ppfff," Reaper laughed and set his menu down, "I have no idea, I should have thought this through."

"Whoa, they have a Flute in here," Geno giggled and shifted through the menu and becoming more interested in looking at the names instead of ordering.

Reaper only laughed and shifted through it as well, after a couple of more laughs they both settled on the Beef Bourguignon.
The butler took their orders and left them for a short while before coming back with their orders. Reaper and Geno both ate in silence, taking in the aquarium some more.

It wasn't until and hour later they finished and started to talk again. "So how about after we're done I take you somewhere else?" Reaper asked, Geno wiped his mouth and raised an 'eyebrow'.

"You don't have too," Geno smiled and looked at the aquarium again, "You've already done so much already."

Reaper gave a small smile and rested his chin on his hands, "I know, but there's this one thing I've been wanting to do for you for a long time. It won't take long, I promise~"

Geno turned back and saw Reaper with a small pleading look, he finally gave in and nodded.
"Sure, where are we going?"

"That," Reaper chimed and got up, he walked over to Geno and pulled him out of his seat,"Is another surprise~"

They both left the restaurant soon after and started walking down the block, the sky had turned dark and clouds were covering the sky. Luckily it wasn't going to rain but the wind was starting to blow softly making the leaves on the trees sway.

They had been walking side to side with their arms linked together in silence. Reaper lead while Geno followed him into a park, the day had turn darker and moon had come up giving a nice white glow over the play ground.

They both ended up sitting on a wooden bench, looking up to the moon. Reaper had gotten more quiet and looked at his hands while Geno looked up at the sky.

Geno heard Reaper take a deep breath and stood up right next to him. Geno stayed sitting down and looked to Reaper, who hand his hands behind his back, who looked at him nervously.

"Knock knock."

"Ppff," Geno chuckled and rested his chin on his hand, "a knock knock joke now Reaper?"

"Come on Geno," Reaper laughed nervously, "play along just this once~"

Geno shrugged and smiled, "fine, Who's there?"

"Will," Reaper smirked and began rocking back and forth on his heels. Geno chuckled at his actions and raised his head.

"Will who?" Geno questioned, his soul stopped for second when Reaper got down on one knee and opened a small black box revealing a grey ring.

Reaper looked up at him with a nervous smile, "Will you marry me?"

Geno's eye widened and stared at both Reaper and the ring. He stayed silent for a couple of seconds before looking at Reaper seriously.

"Reaper," Geno said, his tone was a small bit harsh.

"Y-yeah?" Reaper asked and looked up at Geno with a nervous look.

"Knock knock."

"...Who's th-there?" Reapers voice shook, his eye sockets were slowly starting to becoming darker and a small ball of fear was forming in his stomach.

"Why?"

Reaper felt his soul sink down further into his ribcage,"w-why who-who?"

"Y - e - s. Yes!" Geno laughed and tackled Reaper into a hug. Reaper yelped but quickly hugged back in relief, a few tears were falling from his face.

Geno turned his head and kissed his cheek, "aw, Reaper are you okay?"

Reaper hugged him tightly and laughed, "I was so scared you were going to say no."

Geno chuckled and nuzzled his cheek, both him and Reaper were basically laying on the ground now "I'm sorry,"

Reaper only hummed and kissed his cheek, "don't be, I'm just really happy."

Moments later both of them sat up from the ground, Reaper grabbed the ring and slipped it on Geno's finger. Geno only smiled in response and kissed Reaper.

"Hey~" Reaper hummed, "I love you~"

"I love you too~"
