"be nice to him." Lightning says, petting Bolts head. "what a good boy. you go lay down buddy." Lightning adds, pointing. Bolt walks over to the dog bed and lays down, tail wagging happily. Monty eats, cuddled up to Doc, but is nearly falling asleep. he doesn't even finish his plate before he's snoring. Doc smiles a little, eating his food. he puts the plate on the table, before taking Lightnings plate and laying it on the floor.

"here Bolt. you eat this, I'm going to take Monty to bed." Doc murmurs, scooping Lightning up. Lightning shifts a little, mumbling. he lifts his head some, before dropping it back down.

"Hud what're y'doing?" Lightning mumbled.

"taking you to bed baby. you fell asleep while eating dinner." Doc smiles a little. he sighs happily.

"m'kay." he mumbles, cuddling into Docs arms. Doc lays him on the bed and heads to lock the front door, shut the tv off, turn off the kitchen lights, and grab his plate from the table and Lightnings from the floor.

"crate Bolt." Doc orders. Bolt gets up and stretches heading for the bedroom. Doc takes the plates and washes them, before heading back to their room. he curls up in bed with Lightning, whose still drowning in the hoodie Doc had given him. "baby you should take the hoodie off, you're gonna get too hot." Doc murmurs, rubbing his cheek gently. Lightning sighs and squirms closer to him.

"m'okay. I wanna wear it. smells like you. makes me happy. like your Fabulous Hudson Hornet shirt." Lightning murmurs.

"but I'm right here baby. I'm right here, aren't I better than a hoodie?" Doc smiles a little. Lightning pouts a little and pulls his hoodie off, before cuddling to Doc.

"yeah you are." he murmurs. Doc pulls him close to his chest, kissing his head. he holds the younger tightly.

"its okay baby. I've got you. I'm living and breathing and I'm better than a hoodie." Doc smiles a little. Lightning mumbles a little and sighs happily, nuzzling into his chest.

"mmhmm, an your so warm." Lightning sighs happily. Doc smiles, kissing his head.

"get some sleep." Doc murmurs, running his fingers through his hair. Lightning holds tighter to him and Doc lets himself fall asleep.

Doc shifts a little hearing a knock on the door. he separates himself from Lightning, kissing his head. Lightning sighs happily and curls up into the blanket, snoring. Doc smiles and heads for the door. he yawns and rubs his face, opening the door.

"oh hey, you're here early. he's still in bed." Doc murmurs.

"oh, too early? I got in about 11 last night... I tried to wait, but I got excited. I feel bad I had to lie to him." Cal says, watching him.

"nah, like I said, he's in bed. its 7 AM. just go jump on him or something." Doc snorts a little, pointing to their shared room. Cal grins and walks over to the door way, he laughs and walks over to the bed.

"you mind?" Cal ask.

"nah go a head. m'making coffee." Doc mutters. Cal lays on the bed beside Lightning and grins. Lightning mumbles a little throwing his arm around his waist and pulling him closer, before frowning. Lightning mumbles and shifts, pulling him closer.

"y'not Doc." Lightning mumbles.

"nah, but I couldn't miss your birthday." Cal grins. Lightning goes still, before lifting his head up and blinking tiredly. he squints at Cal, blinking a little. he yawns and pulls him closer, laying his head back down and mumbles. Cal grins a little when Lightning jerks back up.

"Cal! what the fuck are you doing here?" Lightning ask, hugging him tightly.

"couldn't miss your birthday!" Cal grins. "Doc called and said your birthday was today. I was already boarding the plane when you called me so I told you I was in Florida on vacation. I knew what you were calling about." he laughs, hugging Lightning back.

"I made coffee if you're done rolling around with Cal in my bed." Doc snorts, leaning against the door way. Lightning grins and hugs Cal, looking at Doc.

"aww but Cals a great cuddle." Lightning grins. Doc rolls his eyes and heads back to the kitchen. Lightning laughs and gets up.

"Sally told me you and Doc are engaged." Cal says.

"yeah. we are." Lightning says, getting up off the bed and stretching. he moans lowly as he stretches. Cal climbs out of bed.

"congrats and happy birthday." Cal smiles. Bolt barks, walking over and sniffing at Cal. "oh hi there good boy." Cal smiles, reaching down and petting him. Bolt wags his tail and heads out of the bedroom. Lightning follows out after him and stretches, wrapping his arms around Doc from behind. Doc smiles a little, not seeming bothered at all with the fact that Lightning is holding him in front of Cal.

"see this is mine." Lightning teases, squeezing Doc gently.

"mmhmm. I see." Cal grins. Doc snorts a little patting one of Lightnings hands gently as he cooks.

"and sometimes it snores really loud. he sounds like a lawn mower." Lightning grins. Doc huffs out his nose at him.

"mmhmm, have you tried turning him off and then back on again?" Cal ask. Lightning grins and looks up at Doc.

"hey can I turn you-" Lightning grins.

"no." Doc says firmly, flipping a pancake.

"but I-" Lightning tries. Doc smacks his hand, not hard enough to hurt, just hard enough to get his point across.

"no touching." Doc says. Lightning groans at him, pouting.

"no he won't let me." Lightning huffs, pouting at Cal. Cal laughs a little.

"yeah I can see that." Cal chuckles. he crouches down and pets Bolts head gently. Lightning leans around Doc, looking up at him. Doc raises an eye brow at him, eyes firmly on the pancake.

"hey. I can't reach, come down here, just a little." Lightning says, pouting. Doc leans closer to him. "little more, please?" Lightning ask, poking his bottom lip out. Doc sighs slightly and leans further down, he knows what the younger wants, he's just not exactly thrilled to comply while Cal is there. Lightning gets up on his tip toes and kisses him briefly. it's not hot or wet, or anything. its just a simple good morning kiss. Doc smiles and turns back to his pancake.

"still can't cook with you hanging all over me." Doc murmurs. Lightning huffs and lets go, moving to pour coffee for him and Cal. he knows better than to push Doc when there are other people around when it came to physical contact, even if the lack of such contact hurts him, even if being pushed away hurts him, like his fiance is ashamed of him. he knows thats not the case, that Docs just from a different time, but still it hurts him.

"hows your arm?" Lightning ask, pouring Cals coffee.

"I'm done with that stupid sling. I'm fine. it doesn't hurt anymore." Doc shrugs.

"I'm glad you two ended up okay after the whole car burning thing." Cal says.

"yeah we got lucky." Lightning says, handing Cal a cup of coffee. "m'gonna go change clothes." Lightning says, heading for the bedroom.

"if I make you uncomfortable Doc, I can always leave." Cal assures.

"huh?" Doc ask. "what are you talking about?" Doc ask.

"I'm talking about the fact you just brushed your fiance off, even on his birthday. if the PDA bothers you I can leave so it won't." Cal says, looking at him.

"Cal, he'll be alright trust me." Doc assures.

"I dunno. he looked pretty hurt when you pushed him away. like if I make it uncomfortable for you to love him, I can leave." Cal says.

"just drop it." Doc says firmly. he sets the plates on the table, he's even made one for Cal, and heads for the bedroom. Cals got him nervous that he's hurt the younger man, which is not what he ever wants to do. he walks over to Lightning. "hey." Doc murmurs. Lightning jumps and turns to look at him.

"Doc?" he ask.

"m'sorry kid." Doc murmurs, pulling him to his chest. "didn't mean to upset you." Doc adds softly. Lightning looks up at him, a little confused,

"h-huh? m'not upset." Lightning mumbles. Doc kisses him deeply, pulling him closer and nuzzling him.

"m'sorry. I love you." Doc murmurs. Lightning flushes a little, still confused.

"I love you too." Lightning says, nuzzling back. Doc lets him go, ruffling his hair gently.

"okay baby. I love you, so much." Doc murmurs, kissing him again. Lightning smiles at him a little.

"Doc m'not upset. whats wrong?" Lightning ask.

"I just thought I upset you pushing you away. I didn't want to do that." Doc assures, kissing his forehead. Lightning steps away a little.

"I'm okay. I promise." Lightning smiles, grabbing his hoodie and pulling it on. he cuddles into it, grinning up at Doc. it had hurt to be pushed away, it always hurt to be pushed away, but it was okay now, Doc apologized. Doc had come after him, kissed it better, and held him. it was okay now. he sighs happily when Doc nuzzles him gently, kissing his neck, just above the collar of his hoodie. Lightning smiles at him.

"m'kay, kid, lets go eat our breakfast before it gets cold." Doc murmurs. Lightning nods.

"okay oldman." Lightning murmurs. he heads back to the kitchen.

"so what time is the concert? I'm still invited right?" Cal ask.
