Draco stumbled to his feet a couple minutes later. They were here! They hadn't stayed in London! Why were they here? Draco was scared, scared for Emma and Perry, of course any muggles who had befriended the magical students would be the easiest targets. He was scared for the trio and Weasley girl, sure they hadn't been friends long and their friendship was tentative at best but he didn't want them hurt.

What should he do? If he told them would they even believe him? And how could he tell Perry and Emma to be safe without telling them why? He walked into their home deep in thought. Harry and Ron were running through the house casting random small curses at each other. At first Draco thought something was wrong but soon realized they were only messing around. He tried to get Harry's attention but was ignored. Ron was always the most hostile to him so he didn't even try him. Hermione would be no use as she was following the boys trying to get them to behave. That only left Ginny, Draco turned around to find her watching him.

"Where you been?" She asked suspiciously.

"Went to see Emma and Perry." Ginny grinned at his reply.

"How're they?"

"Good, fine, Ginny can I talk to you?" Draco asked. Ginny caught his serious mood instantly.

"Um sure yeah come on.",she led him to the kitchen table, "what's up Draco?"

"Uh well..." Draco trailed off unsure how to begin. Would she believe him? Would they trust him or lock him away somewhere thinking he was a threat? If they locked him away how could he protect his friends? Draco looked at the redhead, she'd always seemed the most accepting to him surely she'd believe him right? "Uh I got, I got umm attacked on the way back. well I guess not truly attacked it was a body bind curse."

"What!?" Why would a wizard be here and attacking Draco?!

"Yeah he uh he said a bunch of stuff about blood and swine and staying away from muggles. Then he said if someone from either side were to be killed that we'd all have to go home." Draco paused staring at his shoes. "I'm, I'm worried for Emma and Perry they'd be the easiest and best targets they've befriended us if we were 'careless' it would be all to easy for them to be hurt."

"You don't actually think whoever is behind this would go that far? What could they hope to gain?" Ginny was nervous but trying to stay calm. She hated this they had fought a war and yet still there was all this drama and hate.

Draco sighed, "they want to keep muggles and magic separated. What better way than an accident connected to the MAI? It would be big news in the wizard world and what parents would want their kids involved after that? The initiative would fail and we'd go back to normal."

Ginny stared at him worried what could they do? They'd have to protect their new friends somehow. She was sitting contemplating how when Draco started again hesitantly.

"Ginny, Perry and Emma would be the easiest targets but even better as far as causing trouble in the wizard world would be if they could blame a muggle for the death of a wizard..." Draco trailed off. He watched as Ginny thought that over clearly understanding exactly what he meant.

"You think they'll go after one of us? And use Emma or Perry to do so?" She said it like a question but they could both see the truth of it.

"If I were to guess I'd target one of two people. Granger because she's a muggle born and no great loss to some." as the words left his mouth Ginny's eyes narrowed. "now don't look at me like that I didn't say o felt that way but some do which makes her a target." Ginny relaxed slightly knowing he was right.

"And the other target?" Ginny asked fearing she already knew the answer.

"Well who's death would cause the biggest stir? If something were to happen to 'the savior' of the whole wizarding world seperating the two worlds might not be the worst to happen." Draco sat quietly. He'd told her now what? What would happen would they believe him, trust him?

Ginny suddenly stood and walked out. Here it gos they're gonna come back and lock me up he thought.

As it turned out Ginny trusted him and if Ginny trusted him Harry would. Hermione thought everyone deserved a second chance and was willing to believe him. Ron however said he was a lying git and favored the idea of locking him up.

They had spent hours trying to decide how best to protect everyone involved. Harry thought maybe avoidance would be best. If they had nothing to do with any of the muggles surely they'd quit being targets right? But Hermione had argued that they'd already been seen as friends and leaving them alone now would only leave them unprotected. Eventually they'd decided to just stick together as much as possible.

Early Monday morning Draco and Hermione headed to Perry and Emma's house. They decided from now on they'd make sure they got to and from school. They neared the house as Perry and Emma tumbled out the door.

Emma was wearing a dark blue hoodie. It was covered in a quote from her favorite tv show and she had the hood up as usual. She let out a sneeze and glared at the bright sun. "Stupid sunshine! I hate the sun!"

"You hate the sun honestly that's ridiculous." Hermione said laughing slightly.

"The sun hurts my eyes and makes me sneeze. I much prefer rainy days give me a nice thunderstorm any day I'm happy" Emma said sleepily.

Perry shook her head at her cousin. "Emma isn't much of a morning person. Give her a couple hours and she'll get used to the light and be fine."

Draco smiled down at Emma and tugged lightly on her hood. emma grumbled under her breath as the walked along. As they passed by the magical students home Harry, Ginny, and Ron joined them on the road.

"Hey all." Harry said waving at Perry and Emma.

"Hello Harry how're you?" Perry asked. Emma gave a sleepy smile and nodded.

"Find thanks. what's up with Emma?"

"Stupid sun too early." Emma grumbled. The others laughed her.

Halfway to school Emma stopped walking. "Has school always been this far away I'm exhausted think I'll just stay here instead see you guys later." Emma sat down legs and arms crossed.

Perry sighed and rolled her eyes. "Come on Em you can't stop in the road get up lets go."

Emma pouted. "Don't wanna why they gotta make school start so early anyway. How am I sposed to learn anything when my brains still asleep?!"

Perry sighed again and crossed her arms. Draco bent down to peek at Emma under her hood. He found her trying to suppress an obnoxious grin. Draco smiled. "All right then if you won't walk we'll have to carry you." He had intended to throw her over his shoulder but Emma was faster and hopped onto his back. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and legs around his waist. Draco laughed and adjusted her weight better before looking at the others. "Well shall we then?" He said chuckling. Emma lay her head on his shoulder. Her breath tickled his neck and made him shiver. She nuzzled him and pretended to snore. "Such a comfy pillow you make Draco"

Draco laughed and shook his head. This could be a long walk.

Hello 😄 (almost forgot my note lol) so chapter 6 already yay I'm so proud and excited. This chapter felt like I missed something not sure though think I just wanted to keep going. The next chapter is already floating around in my head but idk when I'll get it up my daughter is coming down with something so today will be "mommy I need I need I need" kinda day lol anywho I'll update again as soon as I can (maybe they'll take a nap today lol) alrighty see you awesome readers later 😉
