Chapter Five
Zelda's POV
Dear diary,
Today was the worst day ever, but I know something is up. I can feel it. Link would never leave me so harshly. He always had a kind heart, and now he thinks I don't love him. He thinks I deserve better. But, I feel like the guy at the restaurant had something to do with it.
I sighed, then lay down on my bed, and a knock soon echoed through the room. I hoped out of bed and walked to the door. Opening it, I saw Sidon, and Teba standing there.
"What? I'm not really in the mood so make it quick" I said impatiently and gestured for them to come in.
"It's Link. He's been locked up by some gerudo guy" said Sidon rather quickly.
"What? So he is up to something. Wait how do you know he's a Gerudo?" I asked them suspiciously.
"Uh...I may or may not have been spying on him" Teba said, and tried a chuckle that quickly faded.
"Well as long as you also knew he was up to something" I said, then quickly slipped my leather brown boots on.
"Well, we need to hurry! Who knows what he has done to Link!" I ordered them.
They did a slight bow, and laughed a bit at their own actions. I just rolled my eyes and pulled out the sheikah slate that was hooked to my waist. This was serious so it made me mad that they were just laughing about it. Link was my everything, and I thought he was like their best friend or something. It's like I'm the only with a brain around here.
I held the sheikah slate out, and they took grasp of it. I clicked the travel button on the shrine near the Akkala Stable, then our bodies hovered, and then disentegrated into blue lights.

Link's POV
"I would never want to spend any time with you what's so ever!" I barked at Malcolm.
"Fine!!" he shouted with so much anger rising from him.
He stormed up the stairs, and left me hanging on the cold stone wall. My shirt was ripped up, and my boots were no longer on my feet. I tried to fight him, but that was cleary a mistake.
Cuts stung my chest from the knives he used to slice my flesh, and blood drew a pattern on the floor. Now that Malcolm left, I hung in the dark and silent room. It bothered me, I couldn't even hear the wind from the outside. Now more thoughts flooded into my brain. What have I done? Now Zelda really won't love me.
After a good 15 minutes of hanging there with more and more thoughts, I heard footsteps fill the dark basement.
"Shhhh he could be down here!" I heard a voice snap.
"No! We watched him leave!" another voice argued.
Before I knew it, Zelda's figure was before me. She rushed over to me with a fear struck face. Teba and Sidon stoped behind her, they must of been shocked. Too be honest, I didn't think I looked all that bad, but from the looks on their faces I was worse than I thought.
Zelda stared into my eyes with so much fear and sadness locked into them that it startled me. Tears pricked her eyes and ran down her cheeks. I hated seeing her this way, so I hung my head low, and out of her way.
"Link..." Zelda sobbed and hugged me tightly.
I winced slightly from her touch getting in the way of my wounds. It stung, but I embraced her warmth. My heart pounded as all I could think was how much I've been a jerk to her lately. It was never intended...it just... happened.
"Link...what did he do to you!? Why did you just leave me!?" she sobbed into my chest.
I winced again, but this time from her question. "I didn't mean to...I just...did" I said, unsure of what really had gotton into me.
She eventually loosened her grip and pulled away. Teba and Sidon were gone now. I figured they thought we needed some alone time. Zelda then shifted over to the chains clamped on my wrists. She bent down towards her boot and reached inside it. She pulled out a knife, and pressed it against the chain. She stabbed it harder this time, causing it to bust slightly.
"Come on", she grunted under her breath as each blow she struck grew stronger.
Finnaly both chains were busted, and I fell to my knees. The tension in my arms drained away, but left soreness running through them. My heart almost pounded through my chest, and I took shaky breaths. I leaned back on the wall on which I hung from before, and ran my hand through my hair before saying something to Zelda.
"Why did you do that?", I asked her suspiciously.
"How could I not!? Especially since you look like you could drop unconscious any moment now!" she leaned over me and stared into my eyes, and looking mesmerized like she always did when she looked at me.
"I just full out left you!" I snapped at her a little more harsh than I intended.
Why am I being so harsh!?!? Stop it Link! Stop it! No...Malcolm needs to stop! The more I thought about it the more I was convinced Malcolm had something to do with my harsh word choice.
"Well thank you. Um...so how's the repair with the castle going?" I asked, and tried to act like I didn't say anything.
She just shook her head and crouched beside me. "We need to get you to somone who can heal you!" she said sharply, and grabbed my hand.
"Yeah..." I said under my breath.
My vision blurred in and out. I was already losing a lot of blood. I gazed down at my chest, and saw the blood flooded cuts that were engraved in my skin. My stomach grumbled too, I guess I should of ate something. I ignored it best I could, but heavy breaths took over. Zelda slipped her hand out of mine, and rushed up the stairs.
Before I knew it, Teba and Sidon were already in front of me and lifting me up. I couldn't hear anything now. Everything blurred out of reality. I tried fighting it, but I soon saw black spreading throughout my vision.

"Link. Link. Wake up" I heard a voice float into my ears as I slowly started gaining consciousness.
I blinked several times before I could finally see Zelda hovering over me. I rubbed my eyes to get the glares out, and found my self laying on a bed with no shirt, but white bandages wrapped around me.
"Your awake! Finnaly! You scared m- us have to death!" she exclaimed to me.
"What happened exactly?" I asked, and coughed slightly.
"Well Malcolm hurt you pretty bad, and you lost consciousness. We also figured out that he's a Gerudo" she said.
"Oh...well where am I?" I asked because my vision still blurred.
"Oh, we're at Purah's" Zelda responded, thoughtfully. "She just had to get some supplies and stuff...I guess."
"She definitely went out searching for supplies" a voice said with a sarcastic tone.
I knew who it was. I didn't even have to look. It was Malcolm already back and looking for trouble. Sure enough, I heard Malcolm's footsteps across the wood floor, and over to the bed I was resting on.
"Hello Princess" Malcolm smirked at her then glared down at me. "I would of killed you but that wouldn't be any fun!" he said through a dark tone.
"What did you do to Purah!?" Zelda asked with a hint of fear running through her shakey voice.
"Oh nothing. Now, Princess we have some adjustments to make, if you will." he smirked at her.
As soon as I saw him starting to lean over to her, I shot up and out of the bed no matter the pain. I grabbed Malcolm by the throat, and rammed him into the wall. It caused books to come crashing down, but I didn't care about it.
"If you ever lay a figure on her, I will show you what pain is" I said sternly while staring into his forest like eyes.
"It's going to be hard to do that when we get married" he smirked at me then glanced over my shoulder.
"L-Link just let him go!" I heard her startled voice behind me, but I chose to ignore them. I needed to make something clear to him.
"What do you mean, married? She would never marry a monster like you!" I spat, harshly.
"At least I didn't leave her crying alone in the middle of a wolves hunting ground!!" he grinned a devilish grin, and laughed slightly.
My heart felt like it was going to pound out of my chest. I could feel a hot coal burning up inside me, and just igniting all my shameful acts I've done to Zelda. My grip loosened slightly, and I thought about it. What if Zelda thinks I am the monster? Then she'd never even want to be near me, but she saved me...
"It was your fault wasn't it?" I growled at him.
"Even if it was, I'm still getting Zelda" he smirked.
"No you won't. Zelda would you ever marry somone like this?" I turned my head when I asked her.
She shook her head, and then covered her eyes. She must of been scared since he caused me to lose so much blood already.
"See, and besides, she's the princess of Hyrule!" I said as it were obvious, because it truly was.
"Oh, I know, and I'm Hyrule's Prince."
