Younger heard all of the photographers yell his name so he can spare a glance at their camera. With million of flashes falling on his face,they should be glad he isn't blinded by now. Standing on the red carpet is another type of experience and honestly its just standing on carpet while everyone takes pictures of you but its still hard.

This is where his training came in and he is so much glad for that because imagine going to Baeksang art awards and the only pictures of you online are of you with your eyes barely open.

He could even hear some screams of his fans. He tried to not smile too much and maintain a decent postures. Hearing just people screaming his name in supportive manner was everything. He really is here. Jimin had already ditched the red carpet as Hoseok got him inside using some back door,he doesn't know.

He couldn't do that because he needs to make an appearance on the red carpet atleast. Just when he thought he got hang of the situation,he heard the screams just double in noise. He almost flinched by how loud it was. He thought he did something but he didn't.

When he turned his head to the side,he saw what all the commotion was about. There it was,Kim Taehyung coming out of the car. Wearing a grey suit with white dress shirt,his hair styled and a little make up on his face. He looked fucking handsome,honestly it even caught Jeongguk off gaurd for a second.

He felt like those fans who were screaming their lungs out for him  because of just how hot this man was and the whole aura he had around him was pretty intimidating too.

For a split second he made eye contact with Taehyung and he swears he felt everything just fade into background as if the time just stopped. He wanted to just stay here and wait for Taehyung to come here stand next to him But they can't do that.

"Jeonggik-sshi please come this way" He heard one of the staff members say as they signalled him to move along because the other stars needs take his place.

Jeongguk nodded politely and without even sparing one glance to older,he walked off there. He followed the woman who was leading the way into the venue for the night.

She took him to the table where he was assigned to sit. He saw very very familiar faces sitting in the same table as him,him passing almost everyone a smile. He is pretty sure they are making them sit by the movie casts which isn't too bad and totally new to him.

Here in his table was sitting, Hoseok who was too busy laughing about something with Jimin,looking absolutely flawless,next to them was one and only Sooyoung,who was already telling him to sit next to her as the seat her was empty and just three more seats which were still empty.

"Jeonggukie!! come sit next to me,i am so glad you made it. These two have been flirting ever since they came here,i can finally talk to someone" Sooyoung complained,extroverts really just be complaining about anything.

"well i am here to save you from them i guess. By the way,you look really pretty Noona" Jeongguk complimented her, She gave him a cute smile in response.

She had her hair pushed back a bit,with a full face of makeup. She was wearing a pretty little black dress which fitted around her body perfectly,wearing silver jewelry and black clutch in her hands. She honestly looked flawless.

"oh my,thank you. You look hot yourself i wont lie. You look like a snack,thats what teenagers say these day right?" she said,making both of them laugh.

"Yep,you are alone? didn't bring a date?" Jeongguk teased her as  both of them knew what date he was talking about,making her raise her eyebrows.

"I could say the same about you,i did though but she is back stage,she is going to be the MC for tonight,sad i wont get to be with her for most of the time" Sooyoung whined about her girlfriend. Jeongguk nodded understandingly,he noticed how she didn't even lower her voice but then he gets it,Hoseok and Jimin are too busy flirting.

"sucks for you,about me i don't have a date"

"Weird that you say that because i just saw your date entering the venue and surprisingly he is coming towards us" Jeongguk followed her eyes and saw how it fell on no one else other than Kim Taehyung himself.

Who was indeed coming towards their table,They once again made an eye contact and this time,no one was ready to break it. The tension around them was already too thick. Taehyung walking towards him was honestly just hot on its own. Everything this man does has a strange impact on Jeongguk that he can't explain well.

"Is this seat taken,gentlemen?" Taehyung asked politely,refrerring to the seat right next to Jeongguk who had his breath stuck on the back of his throat.

"I think this seat was assigned to you so i dont think" Hoseok answered instead of Jeongguk. Taehyung gave him a look and then sat down next to him.

"You made it today Taehyung-sshi?" Sooyoung asked,using a petty tone. They still haven't resolved anything it seems.

"Why wouldn't i? Sooyoung-sshi?" Taehyung replied to her with a stern expression.

"I dont know,your boyfriend isn't here today,I figured you like to be where he is" In simple words she called Taehyung, Rowon's bitch.

All of them could sense the thick tension mixed with alot of anger was surrounding this table. This conversation was already too much.

"I don't follow him around like a dog Sooyoung and him showing up here is none of your business anyway" Taehyung said back to her. If this could get any worse,Jeongguk was sitting in middle of them and he really doesn't need them to fight right now.

"You-" Before she could continue,Jeongguk put his hands on hers,giving her a glare.

"Lets act like adults and don't cause a ruckus here,its not a suitable place and you both are very much not thinking with your brains right now,so lets just not,ok Sooyoung?" Jeongguk directed it to her mostly because lowkey he was feeling kind off petty too ,even though he was being a bigger person here.

He didn't even gave Taehyung one look but he could feel the older's eyes burning holes into his body. Before anything could even happen,another person came to their table.

"Oh look likes i missed the drama,the tension is thick as fuck here,do not worry losers,Jin Hyung is here i will keep you entertained for tonight" and now their table was more chaotic.

Within no time the whole venue was almost filled up fully and soon the lights went out,meaning the show is going to start. The opening act was an Kpop band who performed their song,welcoming the actors.

Soon he could see the MC'S coming to the stage,It was Irene and Jin. Jin and Irene will be the host for the whole night. Jeongguk looked at Sooyoung who was looking at her girlfriend with this adoring look in her eyes. She is so inlove.

he wont lie,Irene was indeed looking absolutely beautiful tonight. That long balck dress with one off shoulder,her smooth skin on display as a pretty necklace decorated her neck. Her hair styled gracefully making her look so gorgeous. Jin didnt looked any less next to her,he was in fitted black designer suit,making him look super expensive and wearing these glasses as accessories as he looked untouchable. Both of them looked like rich siblings you don't want to fuck with.

"Hello i am Irene From SM entertainment and i will be your host for tonight"

"I am Jin from bighit entertainment and i will be your host for tonight" both of them did their introduction.

"Thanks to Twice for that wonderful opening performance,i hope you guys loved it as much as we did,right Jin-sshi?" Irene asked him with a pretty smile on her face.

"They really made me feel special,so i absolutely loved it" Everyone laughed at his lame attempt at joking.

"Hmm,that was just the opening act you are in a ride for tonight. Tonight we will be not only be giving out awards but bunch of talented actors will even perform. So i hope this night would be memorable for all of us" Irene spoke softly with a smile on her face.

"Well said Irene-sshi,now i would like to welcome our next act to light up the stage,please welcome them with a round of applause"

The night went on,seeing the stage just getting lit up every other second. There were some awards announced but the main ones were still yet to be announced. The whole table had their eyes on the stage entire time so there was barely any talking done. The drinks were served so Jeongguk just kept on sipping.

His eyes fell on Taehyung who was now talking to some staff member. Older suddenly stood up and followed the staff member to the back of the stage. Maybe he has some type of activity to do on stage too.

"Where did he go?" Sooyoung asked him in a low voice. Jeongguk shrugged as he had no clue either.

oh,did Jeongguk mention Min Yoongi was now also sitting with them? yeah he came in a bit later and took Jin's seat. He was conversing with only hoseok and Jimin the whole night and sometimes Taehyung too. He made just a small talk with him and the girl. Jeongguk wont lie,Yoongi is so cool.

He is so unproblematic and just cool. Never involved in any drama,just minding his own business. Jeongguk wants to be on that level of unbothered.

"Isn't my baby the prettiest? she is looking so hot in that dress. God i can't wait to go home tonight and just-" Sooyoung was cut off by Jeongguk who really didn't wanted to hear how horny she was.

"And thats enough i don't need to know more,lets just focus on what she is saying" Jeongguk gave her a smile making her roll her eyes.

"....and now i will like to invite the one and only Kim Taehyung on the stage to present the award of 'rookie of the year' " Irene spoke up and Jeongguk felt his heart stop.

His eyes widened as he looked at Jimin and Sooyoung who were looking at him in shock too. This is really happening. Jeongguk knows this aint good for him but he is really hoping right now that he doesn't win because he would have to interact with Taehyung then.

He saw Taehyung walking up to the stage and Irene went to the back. Even the way he walked had such an amaxijg aura. Everything about this man is so powerful.

"Good evening Baeksang Arts Awards, I am Kim Taehyung as you guys already know. Tonight i am more than happy to be announcing the rookie of the year to our new amazing talented actors. The nominees are..." He trialed in his deep voice as the big screen behind him started to show all the nominees.

It showed all the other young actors first and finally Jeon Jeongguk face was on the big screen as he heard people cheering for him,making a smile break on his face. Suddenly all of the nominated actors faces was on the screen.

Oh my god,they going to do a live reaction of whoever wins while others sulk. Jeongguk gulped,his nervousness was very visible on the screen. He could see Sooyoung at the corner of his frame trying to hide,which made him chuckle.

"Alot of..handsome young fellas,All of these guys are equally talented but only one of them will take this award tonight. So the winner of Rookie of the year is...." he once again trailed,buidling up the suspense for audience. He opened the envelope and read the name and a smile made its way on his face.

As someone with anxiety,this was taking forever. His legs were shaking because of the suspense. The whole venue was silent just waiting for the results. Suddenly everyone started to cheer.

"...Jeon Jeongguk,congratulations!" Taehyung spoke up finally,a genuine smile on his face. His name smoothly rolling off his tongue.

Jeongguk eyes widened because of the surprise. Everyone could see his hilarious reaction because he literally froze while everyone stood up for him,cheering and clapping.

"Stand up Guk,You won!!! you fucking won oh my god!!!" Jimin yelled at his bestfriend who finally came back to reality. Jimin went to Jeongguk side and gave him a hug and even Sooyoung hugged him.

After that,he got out of the table and started to walk towards the stage. He was walking up the stairs and on top of it was standing Taehyung with a big smile on his face and the award in his hands. Jeongguk knew they weren't on good terms but fuck all of this feels so good and real.

he finally reached Taehyung and was going to grab the award from him and just give his thank you speech. Instead Taehyung put the award aside and took the younger boy in his arms. Surprising him and some others.

Though for others its just a friendly hug as everyone knows about them and how close these two are but for people like Jimin,Sooyoung and Jeongguk himself who knows things aint good between them,its a shock Taehyung even did this.

For Jeongguk this was more than anything,he wasted no time,putting his arms around his waist and pulling him closer.

"Congrats,you deserve it" Taehyung whispered in his ear,making chills run down his spine.

"Thank you so much for this" Jeongguk replied as both of them pulled away. They are after all on national TV. he gave him a heartwarming smile and finally took the award in his hand,examining it with adoration in his eyes.

He got closer to the mic and cleared his throat. "....wow" yeah those were his first words which made everyone laugh.

"Sorry i am just in shock. I never believed that i would ever get this as i have never thought of myself good enough to win against all these talented actors. I am so thankful and happy. I can't believe i won this,Mom im on national tv and i won mom" Jeongguk chuckled as he waved at the camera knowing his mother is definitely crying because her baby won an award.

"I want to thank my fans who voted for me,im so thankful to have you guys to support me,i will do my best and provide you guys with my best work more. I want to thank my team,who dresses me up and takes care of me,trusts me so i wont disappoint. I want to thank my parents for letting me pursue my dream and lastly i want to thank my friends who have supported me throughout everything,especially my friends that are still screaming for me" Jeongguk said as the camera changed towards their table where Jimin was yelling Jeongguk name,making everyone laugh.

"i also want to thank Taehyung hyung,who has been so supportive of me and is my bestest friend. He helped me alot and still is. Thank you hyung" Jeongguk looked back to Taehyung who gave him a smile as response.

"Once again,thank you to my fans,you guys are the best,i wont be here without you,thank you!!" Jeongguk kissed his award,his eyes lighting uo with stars as he ran out of the times he said thank you.

He got off the stage,not looking back. One of the staff member took the award as the stars aren't suppose to sit with all their awards on the table and they give it back when the show ends. He made his way to the table where his friends were just as happy as him.

"Congratulations Jeongguk" Hoseok and Yoongi both congratulated him.

"Bro what the fuck,i am so glad i am your friend Gukkie. I am so proud of you right now. You better treat me to dinner for this!!" Jimin said to him,as he patted his back.

"Invite me too,You definitely deserved it Guk. Also Taehyung got a special shoutout? is everything suddenly okay between you two?"

"um no..but i think we definitely need to have a talk after this" Jeongguk said,making her nod understandingly.

He saw how few minutes later Taehyung was back on his seat. Jeongguk wanted to say something he even was going to but he stopped himself. Taehyung hasn't spoken a word to him ever since he got back. Was all that hugging and smiling an act for cameras fo make them look like these best friends who support eachother alot? Jeongguk wont be surprised if thats the case.

That's when he brushed his feelings away.  He should be happy instead,it is a great day for his career. He just won his first major award. This calls for a celebration instead of moping over how Taehyung is still not talking to him.

In the next hour alot happened. Many awards were announced,one of them being Min Yoongi winning producer of the year for his latest hit movie. He gave a very nice small speech but with alot of inspirational shit he said in it.

Second was Park Sooyoung  losing the supprting act award but what was more good was she won one of the major awards of tonight which was Actress of the year. Sooyoung almost cried because of the happiness she felt. In her speech she just kept on thanking everyone while indirectly flirting with Irene,who she gave the biggest hug when she reached the stage and even kissed her on cheek which wasn't as suspicious,good for her. She ended her speech with "this one is for the person i love,thank you" and Irene expression was priceless after that.

It was a really wholesome moment. Now only two major awards are left,those are Actor of the year and Movie of the year. The most anticipated awards at that. Taehyung was nominated for both.

Thats when he realised he was going to present Actor of the year which is a huge opportunity for him. He is hoping he doesn't fuck anything up as he was standing backstage,waiting for his cue.

"Now i would like invite,tonight's rookie of the year,Jeon Jeongguk to come and present the most anticipated award of tonight" Jin gave him a little introduction and that was his cue.

He walked into the stage,standing where Jin and Irene were standing as those two moved back. Jeongguk had a polite smile on his face as he stood there,looking at the crowd.

"I am Jeon Jeongguk and tonight i would be presenting Actor of the year award. 2020 was big year for south korea's actors and tonight nominees will prove how much talent we have. The nominees are...." Jeongguk read off the little script they gave him as once again the big screen was playing the clip of nominess.

This felt like a dejavu  of the situation  that just happened an hour ago but with Taehyung and Jeongguk positions flipped. Once the screen was done playing the clips,the live reaction was on. Jeongguk eyes fell straight to the one and only Kim Taehyung.

Every bone in his body wants Taehyung to win this because no one does it better than him. He goes through so much shit but that never had any effect on his professional life and he acted alot better than everyone else. He thinks no one else but Kim Taehyung should get this.

"The 56th baeksang Arts Awards Actor of the year is the most talented,most handsome,the one who has shown different side of him in his every single project he has done,never left the top place on popularity charts,the most talked about act of 2020,the winner of  this award is......Kim Taehyung" Jeongguk announced,making the whole venue burst into cheers and clap for the man.

He saw how a big smile made its way to Taehyung face who looked genuinely happy for himself. Jeongguk wanted to cheer so loudly for him. This is obviously not Taehyung's first time winning this award but its special everytime. Jeongguk remembers wacthing the show at home and now he is presenting this award. He wants to cherish this moment as much as he could.

Taehyung came closer to him as Jeongguk gave him a side hug,whispering "congrats" in his ear for a second because they dont have time. Taehyung had stars in his eyes as he muttered a thank you to Jeongguk who stood a little behind Taehyung so the older can have his moment.

Taehyung was really in his moment,as he just stood there for a whole second just looking at everyone with this wide smile. In his hands was the Actor of the year Award and it was all possible because of his supporters. He was feeling so grateful and he hasn't been this happy for a long time now.

"I am sorry for just having my moment back here,I am  in shock. I don't want to brag but i win this every year and every single time it manages to make me so happy i feel like i am on cloud nine and its all because of you guys who have supported me in every single point of my life. The reason why i am here standing with this award in my hand is because of you who never left me even in my lowest. This is not my award,this is our award and we will cherish this together" Taehyung paused for a second as the cheers feim audience went lowder,his fans were losing it.

"I didn't wanted to get deep here but i wanted to share this with you. Last month has been so tough for me,hell not only last month but whole last year i have obviously been barely on internet because of how busy i am and how i am in the lowest point of my life. I have been through...a-alot. Last year didn't treated me so nicely and this month im feeling the same. As an Gay Actor,as a part of LGBTQ its hard for someone like me to be out here,winning this award. I have been out for two years now yet everything still feels suffocating in this industry" Everyone at this point could see tears welling up in his eyes as he was holding back.

"I....even thought of retiring this month,i was very close to it. I felt like my life had no purpose anymore but the only reason i am still going on is you guys. Who have supported me through thick and thin. I love you guys so much for what you have given me and i thank you alot for it. I also want to thank my friends who have been with me,especially my best friend,Jeongguk i am so thankful for him. He was there for me in the moments where i needed him the most and i am thankful someone like him exists." Taehyung looked back at Jeongguk whose eyes softened looking like he was going to cry.

"As i said,Lifes got super tough for me and i kept on pushing it...just giving myself hope that hey i am Kim Taehyung i will make it and i...i almost lost myself through that process,it was h-hard and i made it alive and i am so thankful that i am still here,so thankful for you guys and i......fuck" Taehyung turned around,hiding his face from the crowd and everyone who is watching him right now. His low sobs could be heard from the mic.

Jeongguk eyes widened at the sight. He wasted no time into grabbed Taehyung by his nape and pulling him closer to himself as Taehyung head crashes to Jeongguk chest,still crying his eyes out. He felt the cheers get louder but that was his last concern. Only thing that mattered is this boy in his arms right now.

Younger put his arms around him,one on his head and other on his back,patting his back and rubbing it softly. Trying to calm him down. His eyes went striaght to Jin who was standing next to equally stunned Irene and signalled him to cover up who hurried to the mic while Jeongguk comforted Taehyung.

"T-that was a very emotional yet beautiful speech from Kim Taehyung. It is indeed hard for LGBTQ actors we have in industry. Taehyung is so brave for talking about it. Having the courage to say that requires someone to be strong and our actor of the night proved himself to be stronger than ever,lets have another round of applause for Kim Taehyung then we shall continue our night" Jin said,trying to distract people from Taehyung who was crying at the side.

Everyone once again started to cheer loudly and clap for Taehyung. Every single person here was really,he proud of  Taehyung because he is one of the few honest people here.

Jeongguk took this opportunity to take Taehyung by his hands and lead him backstage. They were bombarded by questions from the staff members who wanted to see if the actor was okay. Jeongguk made sure they kept distance betweem them.

"He is okay,can you guys please give us some time alone?" Jeongguk said as he hide Taehyung behind him. All of them were intimidated by Jeongguk who was practically glaring at them. They left,giving them the small changing room to themselves.

He softly grabbed Taehyung arm and made him sit on the seat infront of him as he got on his knees,facing Taehyung. His fingers lingered on older's skin,wiping his tears away. Taehyung looked so pretty even while crying and that just makes him want to baby him more.

"its okay to cry,you are really brave Tae,saying all that things in national TV takes alot of courage. You have been going through alot haven't you? well if i am being honest,i haven't been too well too. After you told me to forget about you my life hasn't been same. I feel empty without you. You are more than my bestfriend and someone i admire alot. I know you told me to stay away from you but i don't think i can,not anymore" Jeongguk explained it to him with a very soft spoken tone. He saw more tears fell from Taehyung eyes.

"I-i am sorry" Taehyung apologised.

"No no,you have nothing to be sorry about. Just tell me one thing,do you want to leave or go back to attending that award show? don't worry about anything else just tell me what do you want right now as you are my top priority right now" Younger made sure Taehyung comfort is most important right now.

"I wanna go home,your home not back to Rowon,please" he pleaded,making Jeongguk heart break slowly because the fear was so visible in his tone. God,he could only imagine the shit he did to the boy in past month.

"Ok,thats ok we can do that. Here's my car keys,Jimin brought it just incase of any emergencies. Go to the parking lot and wait for me,i will just have a small talk with my manager so i can alert him about us leaving early,okay?" He looked at him for assurance and Taehyung  nodded.

Jeongguk pressed a soft kiss on his forehead and gave him the car keys. He got out of the room so he can find his manager and just go back with Taehyung.
