Omg, are you okay? Where were you?
You texted me that you'll be home two hours ago and then you didn't show up.
I was so worried about you." Harper says hugging me tightly as soon as I open the door.

"I'm fine, Harper," I laugh lightly at her excitement. "I just got caught up in something and lost track of time."

"It's still not safe!" She says grabbing my hand and pulling me to sit down on her bed.
"You should have called or texted me to let me know that you aren't coming for a few more hours."

"I know, I know. I'm sorry. It won't happen again." I reply.

"Where were you?" She asks rising her eyebrows.

"I... , I was out with some of my old friends at the beach." I say avoiding her question like it is nothing and lying through my teeth. 'Damn it, Mia! How are you gonna get away with this one? She's gonna find out sooner or later.

"Ohh... I didn't know you had other friends. You haven't told me anything about them before. 
What are they like? She asks raising one of her perfect eyebrows in an almost mockingly impressed tone. She knows I'm hiding something from her and she clearly knows that I'm lying.

"Erm... I didn't tell you because they're not that important besides we not that close anymore. They're just old friends from my high school. That's all." I reply smiling a little.

"Okay then. If you say soo
." She says still suspicious but letting it go for now.
"But... next time you're gonna be late don't forget to tell me. Okay?" She says smiling sweetly, her eyes full of concern for me.
"Yes, mom." I reply sarcastically rolling my eyes and we both start laughing then I get up from the bed to go to the dressing room to change my clothes as I put my hair in a messy bun.

"Mia?" I hear Harper call me after a few seconds.

"Yeah?" I reply turning my head around to face her.

"You... you have something on your neck." Harper says trying to sound serious but a second later I hear a soft chuckle escape from her lips while she lies down on her bed.

"What?" I ask her nervously.

"Your neck. You have something on it."
She replies pointing to my left collar bone.
My heart starts beating a little faster than normal when I realize what she means. I quickly turn back around to look at myself on the mirror again and when I finally see what she's talking about I start blushing uncontrollably.
"Shit" I whisper under my breath as memories of Bryan kissing my neck flashes in front of my eyes and suddenly my entire body feels like it's on fire and I can feel sweat dripping down from my forehead.

"Are you okay, Mia?" She asks looking concerned. "You're acting funny."

"Yeah, of course I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be fine?" I say smiling nervously.
"And about this thing on my neck I think a bug bit me while I was at the beach."

"I see..." She says not sounding convinced at all.
"Well, it must have been a really big bug. You should probably get that checked." Harper says  smirking knowing exactly what happened.

"Anyway. After I'm done with my homework I wad wondering if you would like to watch a movie together." I say trying to change the subject.

"Sure. What movie do you want to watch?" She asks excited.

"Actually I was thinking that you could pick the movie then we'll watch it as soon as I finish studying."

"Sounds like a good plan." She replies smiling as she takes her laptop and lays on her bed to choose the movie while I take my books to study for tomorrow.

"Mia...! Are we going to watch this movie or not because I'm really tired?" Harper asks  groaning as she stretches out on her bed after one hour.

"Just a second."

"Hurry uppp!"

"I'm coming!"
I say while I grab my phone to check if anyone has texted me and as soon as I open it, I see his name on the screen.
"Of course he has texted me." I say in a low voice as I text him back.

—What are you doing?
Did you finish your homework?

—Yeah, I did but when I got home
I had to deal with your mess.🙈

And I can't wait to make another tomorrow night but I don't understand one thing.

I turn off my phone and lay on my bed thinking about how lucky I'm to have him in my fucked up life but I didn't know that he was so cute and that he cared about others the way he does when he is around me.
"My baby."
He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I hope this thing between us never ends because I know that I don't deserve him but I can't lose him or I'm never going to recover.

"Mia....!" Harper says while moving her legs on the air like a baby.

"Sorry, sorry. I'm here." I say as I gwt up from my bed then I rush towards Harper's bed to sit next to her.

"Finally. What took you so long?" She asks as soon as she sees me.

"Nothing special, I just finished my project for tomorrow and some other stuff." I say smiling.

"Why are you smiling then?"

"Aghhh. Don't ask so many questions." I say laying next to her catching her completely of guard hugging her tightly.

"I don't know what is the reason that you're happy but I hope it lasts forever Mia." She says hugging me back.

"Soo. Did you pick the movie?" I ask her.

"Yep. I think we should watch « After »."

"No, not that. Let's watch After We Collided because I've already watched the first movie and I'm just obsessed with the second movie more than I'm with the first one." I say to her.

"Really? Me to. I love «After We Collided».
I've also read the books and the main actors Hero and Josephine have announced that there are going to be two other movies coming soon. «After We Fell» and «After Ever Happy».
I can't wait to see them. They're gonna be the best movies ever!"
"Are we going to watch them together when they come out on cinema?" She asks with excitement clear on her voice.

"Yeah of course we will." I reply smiling at her.

"Alright then deal.
I can't wait." She says hugging me.

"Okay then just let me make some popcorn so we can watch the movie."
