Snippit #1: Moving in

GUYS! SWAN SONG CONSPIRACY THEORY!

Okay, for school we have to read Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. It's actually a really good book. But anyway, as I was reading chapter three there was this voice on a record player, and the name of the record was SWAN SONG!

You know the Black Swan say SWAN SONG if they're in danger, or if something happened!

Well the record SWAN SONG told the truth of each of the character's crimes!!!!

I don't know, but what if Shannon Messenger read the book and was like lets use Swan Song as a warning.

Cause the record player is warning the characters of their crimes and that people know what they did and that they'll face their judgement soon and wow that's quiet the run on lol.

Anyway, that's my connection with that.

Also: For the final few chapters they will only be clips into the adult lives of the characters.

TO THE STORY:

It was my first year at the Gold towers, and I was already late to class. So many stupid stairs!

"Sophie! Wait--Foster, what's the rush?" Keefe's leisure voice teased.

"I'm late," I shouted over my shoulder, my foot catching a step. My face met the ground, and I scowled upon hearing Keefe's laughter.

"Geez Foster, I thought by now you'd have stopped falling for me," he joked, a warm twinkle in his blue eyes.

"Shut up! Don't you have class to get to or something?" I huffed, as Keefe helped me up.

"Sophie--"

"Keefe, I really can't do this right now! I'm so late--"

"Sophie you don't have class right now," Keefe said, grabbing my arms.

"Keefe! I'm late for Multi-Special Studies! And Fitz told me Lady Miracula isn't very forgiving, and I'm stressed out," I complained, letting out a frustrated huff.

"Sophie, you don't have class today," he said yet again, an amused smile on his face.

"What do you mean I don't have class today? Class starts today, and I have Multi-Special Studies at seven, and it's currently seven o'five!" I gushed.

"Sophie, rest assured, you do not have Multi-Special Studies at Seven today," Keefe said trying, and failing, to contain his grin.

"What did you do?" I asked, wearily looking up at him.

"Nothing, yet," he smirked, a mischievous glint in his icy blue eyes, as he grabbed my hand.

We were running out of the sparkling golden tower, Keefe glancing back at me every once in a while.

"Keefe! Where are we going?" I giggled, as he pulled me along.

"You'll just have to wait and see," he laughed, pecking my lips playfully several times as he pulled a pathfinder out of his pocket.

"Do you trust me?" he laughed, breathlessly, his whole body radiating excitement.

"Yes, now where are we going?" I demanded, looking up at him.

"Patience, Foster," he whispered in my ear, holding tightly onto my hand as he held the pathfinder to the light. It created a shimmering blue light with golden flecks in it, and Keefe pulled me through.

I felt a warm tingling feeling capture my whole body like I was being kissed by the sun. I wanted to stay in there forever, but then we resurfaced.

"Keefe! I can't see," I laughed, feeling Keefe's hands over my eyes.

"That's the point, Foster. Thought you were smarter than that," he teased, tickling my side.

"Keefe!"

"We're almost there Foster," he whispered in my ear, sending chills up and down my body.

"Stop building the suspense!" I chastised, but it was lighthearted.

"Oh no," Keefe's voice was suddenly shocked with undertones of anger and despair.

"What? What happened? What's wrong?" I shouted, pulling his calloused hands off my eyes as my heart pounded.

I turned around to face him, afraid to look myself.

"Turn around Sophie," Keefe whispered glumly.

I bit my lip nervously, and turned around. To my surprise, I saw a beautiful little cottage with a tiny orchard and a waterfall.

I let out a little laugh, and started jumping up and down, "Is this ours?"

"I don't know. It could be if you wanted to live here, with me," Keefe beamed, looking down at me.

"Can we go inside?" I asked shyly.

"If you can get there before I lock the door!" Keefe shouted, sprinting.

I shook my head and used a brain push, easily surpassing him.

"Should've said no powers," Keefe smiled shaking his head.

"Should've said no powers," I laughed.

Keefe smiled, giving me a quick kiss.

"Come on, I want to show you the kitchen."

"Who made this place?" I asked, looking at the quaint, but open, kitchen in awe.

"I did. Well, I designed it and built some of it with some other contractors in Mysterium--"

"I love it!" I gushed.

"You do?"

"Yeah, I'm really happy," I whispered, rubbing my thumb against his hand.

"But? I sense a but coming on," Keefe said, his smile faltering.

"How am I supposed to go to school and live here? Aren't I supposed to live at the Towers?" I asked.

"I'm glad you asked! See, I worked out a deal where I can work at the Towers in exchange that you and I can live off campus--"

"What are you going to be doing at the Towers?" I asked, a little uneasy.

"Well, I have to work on landscaping and outdoor stuff, making sure everything looks nice. It's not that big of a deal Foster," Keefe shrugged.

"How long are your hours?"

"Foster, it'll all work out. I promise, you have nothing to worry about. And it'll be worth it, I hardly see you as it is! And when we're at the towers living there, I won't see you at all. And, I miss you," he whispered, staring at our clasped hands.

"I miss you too, but how long are you working there?" I spoke softly.

"I'll work an hour and a half before school, and I'll be working from three forty-five till nine. And on weekends I'll just do touch ups for three hours on Saturdays," he relented.

"That's too much, what do they need you to do?" I asked incredulously.

"Wash the building, take care of the lawn, do some janitorial things inside--"

"You said it was only outside stuff," I reminded him.

He shook my clasped hands, "I know. But I really want this, and it's mostly outside. I just have to mop a few floors. Say you'll move in with me, Foster. Please?"

"This isn't fair to you though," I said deflated.

"Yes it is! It's only for two years, and then I can pursue whatever I want to," Keefe persuaded.

"But I should be doing something, and when will you have time to study?"

"Foster, I can manage. And Silver year you don't do as much, you just focus on your abilities. I promise, it won't interfere with my studies. Say you'll move in with me," he pleaded earnestly.

I stared into his pleading blue eyes, that were searching mine, "Okay. Okay, I'll move in with you."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Keefe beamed, kissing me again.

He let go of me, and grasped my hand; a childlike grin on his face as if he got the best present in the world for Christmas. However, my smile wasn't as big as his as he raved about all the details of the house.

"And I made it so that we could easily add on if we needed to! Oh, and you have the honors of naming the place," Keefe smiled.

"Oh, I think we should name it together," I said with a small smile.

While Keefe lead me outside I couldn't shake the sinking feeling that I wasn't making the right decision for Keefe by living with him.

A/N: THERE WILL BE A PART TWO!!!! ;)
