James
My sisters and I sprint through the never ending trees, trying to catch up to Roslyn and the werewolf holding her hostage. I can't believe I allowed her to her herself into this mess. It is my fault for not following her well enough and keeping her safe.
As strange as it may seem, I follow the sound of her thoughts. It is as if she is screaming internally her thoughts are as clear for me to hear as if she was yelling them out loud.
We speed up as we see the disgusting creature force Roslyn against a tree. She lifts her hands up to her throat, trying to get his hands off from around her neck as he squeezes it as hard as he can. He pulls her towards him and smashes her against the tree again. As if that wasn't enough, he turns around and throws her into another nearby tree. Roslyn slides down the tree and onto the slightly damp ground.
Her mind has stopped producing thoughts. He either knocked her out or he killed her.
I lunge towards the beast as he morphs into his animal form. Sure him being a murderous animal is not exactly good for us, but at least this gives us time to save Roslyn and get rid of him forever. Though he will be much stronger as a dog than as a human, he will need to waste a few precious moments to morph, giving us time to save Roslyn.
Seeing Roslyn laying over there against that tree, bleeding from a brand new head wound, just makes me angrier. I should have been there to stop this from happening. I should have been there to her her to safety before anything bad could happen.
I stop in my tracks as my enemy stares at me with his bright yellow eyes. He growls and takes a running start towards Roslyn. I run to intercept him, smashing into his ribs and knocking him off his course. Jackie assists me and wraps her arms around his neck, trying to choke him out.
Without warning, three more nasty animals appear. They seemingly came out of nowhere. How did they know their friend was in trouble? Can they read minds like me and my sisters can?
I do not believe this. Four on three? This is not fair at all. Of course, I wasn't complaining when the odds were in my favor...
Jackie and I stand, ready to fight them. Julie rushes over to Roslyn, quickly checking to see if she is okay. "James, it's not that bad!" She yells, giving me an update on her condition.
"We can change that." One of the wolves growl as the three new ones take off towards her and my sister. Julie stands up and readies herself to fight the dogs off.
"No!" I shout as I set my focuses on saving them. I can't let them attack either one of them. Roslyn is defenseless and two of them ganging up on my sister is just not fair at all. Don't they have any morals? They shouldn't team up like this.
Jackie defends Julie as she protects Roslyn. She throws punches as fast as they throw themselves at them. Seeing that they can handle themselves over there, I decide to finish off the animal that started this by dragging Roslyn into the woods.
I kick him in his ribs and listen to him howl out in pain, enjoying the sound of victory. I kneel down, warning him to get out of here an never come back or I will be the least of his problems. He stands himself up shakily and glances at me over his shoulder before sprinting off into the distance.
That was easier than I thought. Now I can focus on my sisters and Roslyn. They are going to need all the help they can get over there. With me, at least the fight will be somewhat fair. I sprint over to their fight
Jackie wrestles with one of them on the ground as I fight off the chomping jaws of the other. Grabbing its bottom jaw, I pull it down towards the ground, pulling its nose in the opposite direction. It breaks out of my hold and jumps on top of my sister and the other wolf.
I grab onto the fur of one of the dogs and pull it back, throwing it as far as I can manage. I grab onto the second one and sink my teeth into his skin. Within the minute, he is human again, shaking on the ground. He tries to stand, stumbling as he runs away to save his life. The other dog, still in animal form, runs after him. With the three of them gone, that officially ends the fight, for now.
I nod and catch my breath. "Okay, I think everything is okay now. They left." I look down when no one answers me. What is wrong that no one is replying to me? My sisters were just fighting next to me a second ago.
"James," Julie wails and rolls herself over on the ground to look up at me. Jackie holds on to her, concerned. Julie slowly pulls her hand away from her shoulder to reveal what she was hiding underneath her fingers. I kneel down next to her, trying to comport her as I can tell that she is in a lot of pain. "I- I got scratched."
