(Phoebe's view)

I stared out the car window as we drove through town on our way out to the old dirt farm that our grandfather had left us after his sudden death.

"I thought we were only here to pick through the rubble of grandpa's life." I said with a huff of annoyance before looking over at my brother who was holding up his phone.

"Ugh, there's no bars." he said before looking over at me quickly with a small smile.

"Alright there Pheebs? you look a little green." he said and I nodded before clearing my throat to get mom's attention.

"Could you pull over? I feel like i'm going to puke." I said slapping a hand over my mouth at the same time mom pulled the car over and my brother pushed the door open just in time before I puked as my brother held my hair back.

"You probably shouldn't have been reading that book on the windy roads." he said and I nodded with a sigh as he let go of my hair before patting my back.

"Thanks for that." I said with a small grin as we arrived at the house my expression changing from happiness to disgust as we got out of the car and made our way up to the house which seemed to loom over us.

"What a mess." My brother said voicing my thoughts as the two of us shared a look of disgust.

 "Probably why people in town called grandpa the dirt farmer." I joked making my brother laugh once we followed mom inside.

 "Yeah, probably." my brother said as he gave me a playful shove before we both almost tripped over something on the floor. 

"Could be a booby trap." My brother laughed as he held on to my arm steadying me before we both looked down at the floor.

 "Well, that was weird, maybe grandpa had mild paranoia." I said sharing a look with my brother before we both shrugged. "Maybe we should check out the shed?" I offered with a smile at my brother which he was quick to return.
