I'm sitting in my room looking outside. Here it's very different.

When I was in the United States again, there was no such thing as cars. Or just planes.
Everything is so new for me. I take the MP3 player out of my pocket that Tanya has given me and start listening to music.
Adore by Jasmine Thompson, but it's a remix, as Renesmee told me. I immediately notice the text and sing along quietly.

I spend all night in this position and still hear this song. It doesn't really get boring.

I'm going downstairs. Renesmee and a guy who smells really disgusting are having breakfast right now. Just Emmett is downstairs too, watching a game. Suddenly a girl, Alice, I think, comes past me and looks at me. She starts to smile,
"You have a good style", she says.
"But we should go shopping before the school starts". I nod.

How school is today?
I remember that at that time only rich kids were able to go to school.
I was one of those kids.

I notice that I'm being watched and look around. I discover Edward staring at me.
What's wrong with him?
He starts to smile. I look away and go to Alice,
"What's wrong with him?", I ask her.
"Do you mean Edward?".
I nod again.
"He probably read your minds and thought it was funny", she says.
Read minds?
How does that work?
"How does he want to read minds?", I ask.
"That's his gift", she says.
"Does everyone have a gift?", I hack on.
"No, not everyone, but maybe you have one".

Me and a gift?
That would be really nice. Why didn't I know about it?
I've been on Earth for so long. I could have figured it out in the last few centuries.

"How do I find out what gift I have?", I ask.
"No idea, it'll show," she says. I sigh and feel the burning in my throat.
"Do you want to go hunting?", She asks, to which I nod slightly. She picks up the others, then let's go.

We run through the forest. Edward is at the top until I catch up to him. Alice told me that he's the fastest.
He looks at me in surprise as I run past him. After a long successful hunt, we go back.
"You're very fast", Edward says, patting on my shoulder.
Something strange happens. I suddenly hear his thoughts.
He is quite disappointed that he isn't the fastest anymore.
"What?", I ask confused.
He looks at me skeptically.
"Think about something", I tell him. 'What should I think of?', I hear in my head.
"I just heard your thoughts", I say surprised. Everyone looks at me.
"How is that possible?", Rosalie asks.
"I don't know, when Edward patted on my shoulder, I suddenly heard him", I explain.

"I've heard of that before, when you touch another vampire, you accept their gift, if they have one, it's like a copier, only the gift is amplified," interjects Edward.
"But we have to test that first", Carlisle says. Renesmee steps forward and holds out her hand. I just touch it briefly. She tells me what to do. I put my hand on Carlisle's cheek and think.
What is that supposed to help?
I think about my first day here.
He smiles.
That means that it's true.
"A new gift in the family", Emmett says, who never says anything. I'm smiling briefly.
"And a very powerful one", Carlisle says.
After that is clear, we arrive at the house.

It is a very nice day.
