Amber's Pov.

I'm leaning against a wall and look at this vampire. She hasn't moved for a while.
I try to look into her thoughts.

She doesn't know how long she will be unconscious.

I start to ponder. If I can accept the gift of others, then I should be able to reverse them.
I'm giving my best, thinking of waking her up.

Suddenly she really opens her eyes and wants to jump up.
"Easy, please", I say pleadingly.
"Who are you?", she asks very quietly and in a squeaky voice.
I didn't expect that.
"My name is Amber, I'm someone who wants to help you", I say.
"That's what the others have already said", she says, crossing her arms.
"Who said that?", I ask.
"Well the bosses, the Volturi or something", she looks at me with her, now also like diamonds, shiny eyes.

"So the Volturi wanted to recruit you?", I ask, she nods.

They wanted another ally. Interesting.

"Come with me, I'll take you to the others", I say, leading her out of the room.
