29.
I'm going to he basement. There I already see Jasper coming up to me.
"Is she awake?
And what about the boy?", I ask him immediately.
"The boy's awake, but she's not yet", he says, asking me to follow him.
Even the basement doesn't look like a normal basement. The walls are painted as bright as the rest of the house.
We enter a small room.
Sitting on a cot, the boy watches us. He begins to smile strangely.
"Is everything okay?", I ask carefully. He nods.
"What am I?", he asks, as if he didn't already know that.
"You're a vampire now", I say softly. He starts to grin.
"That's cool", he says.
What's wrong with people nowadays?
They even enjoy it when they have to be like this forever.
"What's your name?", I ask casually. "Tom", he says more seriously,
"Where am I?".
"We're near a small town called Forks", I explain.
"Why am I here?", he asks.
"The transformation was already in progress, so I had no choice. I had to take you with me or you would've killed the half population of Seattle", I explain.
"I have to tell my parents that I'm fine", he says, standing up. He wants to pass me, but I stop him,
"You can't, you're too unexperienced, you could kill them, stay here", I beg him.
He grabs me and pushes me against the wall, which gets slightly cracked.
"Don't tell me what I have to do!", he says angrily. I try to get out of his grip.
Futile.
"Let me go!", I say just as angry as he is.
"If you got used to it, maybe you can go home", I say. He lets go of me and I fall on the ground.
That was probably a normal rage outbreak of a newborn.
They are irritable very quickly.
He helps me standing up,
"I'm sorry", he says and sits down again.
"It's okay, that's normal for newborns" I say
"If all goes well, you can go home soon".
"Thanks", I hear him say.
What will happen when the other one is awake?
