Amber's Pov.

This time I'm alone in the woods. Slight sunbeams pass through the cloud cover. I feel the light on my skin, which starts to shine immediately. I keep walking through the snow and let myself fall.
I start to make a snow angel.

But suddenly I can smell something. Another vampire.
I jump up and look around. I can remember the smell.
Jane.

Jane's Pov.

Aro will want to execute me if he finds out.
And he will.
But I want to let this girl pay for what she did.

A few years ago, I was in Vancouver, Canada. I was just looking for new victims. And there I met her.
Instead of helping me, she pushed me aside and fought me. I didn't know why she did that.
I understood later that she feeds on animal blood.
That's why I abhorred her even more.
And that she dared to attack a Volturi didnvt make it any better.

I hated her since then.

Amber's Pov.

"Why are you here?", I ask and begin to remember. Before I can get away, she's already attacking me. I defend myself and hit her several times. She starts again, but then suddenly a wolf appears, it isn't a normal wolf.

She lets go of me and goes for him. I watch them. He does well, but he doesn't manage to defeat her all the time and gets knocked out.
I run to him and feel his pulse.

She looks from him to me. Without saying anything she disappears.
I look after her and then to him again.
He transforms back, it's embry.
He doesn't move. I grab him and throw him over my shoulder. Then I carry him to the reservation. There I bring him to the others and leave again.

When I enter the house, Alice comes to me and hugs me. She probably saw it. We talk.

The rest of the day is quiet.
