Ekpikapere: Thank you. I feel honored.

Interviewer: Welcome dear. Can you please introduce yourself to us?

Ekpikapere: My name is Ekpika Princess Perembele. You can call me Pere for short. I was born on the 6th of December and I'm from Bayelsa state.

Interviewer: Please, what does Perembele mean?

Ekpikapere: It means, 'wealth is sweet.'

Interviewer: Awwwn, such a nice name you've got. Tell us, how many books have you written on wattpad?

Ekpikapere: Thanks for the compliment. I've written three, unpublished the first one because it needs to under go heavy editing. The second one is; Me You, Nothing In Between. I wrote and finished it last year. Although it has errors, but it's totally worth reading. It's about a seventeen years old girl who is insecure and depressed and a twenty two years old bad guy with anger issues. I don't have much to say about it. Who ever will stumble upon the book will never regret reading it.

My third book is a foreign story titled; Step Siblings. My first foreign story actually, and I had a blast writing it. I'm already nearing the end because it has just two chapters and an epilogue left to be a complete book. Step Siblings is about a sixteen years old spoilt brat, who writes weird quotes on her diary. Her billionaire dad, remarries a woman with five children, who she developed this sudden hatred for, even before clasping eyes on them, because according to her, they stripped her off her position as the only child. From being bullied to getting wanted by her bully her step brother, she finally lets her guard down and gets involved in a proscriptive relationship with the eldest male of her Step Siblings. And things takes a sudden turn on her life.

Who ever reads this book will love it. I must say, I am proud of my self that I created such beautiful piece of art with words.

My fourth book on here, is; Downbear. I started it few days back, and I've published the author's note and overture of the story. There are going to be errors you'd hardly notice because it is my fourth book on Wattpad. Please check it out.

Interviewer: That's interesting. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

Ekpikapere: I don't know. I just found myself writing since childhood. It all started from staring at animated pictures on hard copies, to reading all those Ghanaian stories with twenty four pages. I was like seven then. So from eight, I started drawing silly pictures of Tom and Jerry, and writing gibberish. Then I moved over to Tortoise and meat and so on.

My mom noticed I loved reading, so whenever she went to the market, she would return with a story book for me.

Interviewer: What a lovely mom you've got. What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

Ekpikapere: I hear voices of people who don't exist in my head when I lay in bed at night, unable to sleep. Several images and words would float on in my head when I listen to Rhythm and Blues. Most times, I get sad while writing about heartbreak, it feels so real. Writing seems easy, but it's hard. Even when I hate it, I still love and, and it's something I can never stop doing untill I finally leave this Earth.

Often times, I see my self in my seventies, with grey hair, writing my story with my grand children running about, laying complains here and there, and demanding for my attention. They'd partly be my muse too. Most times, even when I have things planned out, my writing would take a sudden turn in the middle of the story, and I might end up changing the blurb of the story, or adding more details.

I pay attention to everything around me, music, people, laughter, smile, sadness, a particular walk, looks, anger, pain, voice, footsteps and so on. I always take mental notes of everything. And lastly, as a writer, I've become a day dreamer. And I laugh over my own jokes, end up feeling sad when I do something terrible to a character or kill a character. Yep, that's the power of a writer. You can do whatever you want. The book is the world you created. The characters are your creations that you brought into life, on a book.

Interviewer: Wow. How long does it take you to write a book?

Ekpikapere: Like five months or so, it depends.

Interviewer: Where do you get your information, inspirations or ideas for your books?

Ekpikapere: From movies, music. And most times I'd just be doing nothing and Ideas would pop into my head.

Interviewer: What do you like to do when you're not writing?

Ekpikapere: I read wildly. Make researches on things I have no idea about. Watch animations, play games on my phone and make people laugh, or make them feel good about themselves.

Interviewer: That's nice. What does your family think of your writing?

Ekpikapere: They think I'm exceptional. And even bring up words like "You'll go to places"

Interviewer: Amen. I claim it for you. Do you hear from your readers much? What kind of things do they say?

Ekpikapere: Not really, I'm kinda like a ghost on here. But it would never stop me from writing.

Interviewer: What is your favorite quote?

Ekpikapere: My favorite quote is "Never do some permanently stupid, just because you're temporarily upset." And also, "Compete and Compare yourself with no one. You're going to be killing it your own way if you don't."
