I flip over my phone and almost drop it when I see who the notification is from.

Message from Brett.

I didn't think he would actually respond.

I sent him a simple; Hey, it's Felicity from Art.

AND HE RESPONDED WITH: What's up, Fee?

Gasp.

*Warning: Loud Screaming* IEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

My fingers frantically type back; Nothin much, hbu?

He responds within seconds; Same here. Layin in bed

Omg. I just got butterflies. I'm texting with Brett Dawson. He's not popular or anything, but definitely cute enough to be. 

Especially with his baseball cap.

I send; do u have a pic I can use for ur pfp??

He doesn't see it until three minutes after I send it but when it says; Read 3:25, he responds with; Sure! One sec.

I see the text bubble generate on his side of the screen and the longer it sits there, the more impatient I get.

Clearly, if this guy were to ever be my boyfriend, I would be that type of girlfriend who explodes at him when he doesn't respond within five seconds.

Then the little *ding* sounds again and I see he has sent a photo of him wearing the exact baseball cap he wears at school, smiling, staring straight into the camera at a baseball field.

Cute, I say to myself.

Want one of me? I ask him.

Sure, he responds.

I scroll through my favorites in my camera roll and stop on two of my favorite photos of myself.

One is of me in an apple orchard, leaning against a tree with my hair blowing in the wind, tilting my face to the camera. A cute/classy photo.

The other is of me leaning against a brick wall, with my left foot against the wall behind me. A neutral expression on my face with a slight smirk. A serious (but seductive-ish) photo.

I can't decide on which one, so I decide to ask Brett for his opinion.

Pic Update: Two options- 1. Cute pic or 2. Serious pic?

I click both photos and send them to him.

Then I save his photo (favorite it), and set it as his profile photo.

And edit his name to; Brett💖.

*Ding*

Message from Brett💖.

It says; Look good?

Then a screenshot comes through of my contact profile on his phone.

He's used a photo editor app to crop my images and put the two of them side by side.

It looks amazing.

I look amazing. 

And my contact name is; FeeFee🦋. 

Oh.My.God.🤯 THERE'S A BUTTERFLY.

I LOVE butterflies. 

I tap Reply to his message that says; Look good?, and say; OMG IT LOOKS SO AMAZING!!!! :)

He "hearts" my message and sends a winking emoji.

I feel the butterflies again: *Sighhhh*. 

*Ding*

Oh no! I type frantically; SRYSRYSRY I got distracted!!

*Ding* Nah, ur good lol :)

I'm about to take the screenshot of his profile when I realize I don't want him to see the heart by his name.

I quickly change it to Brett :) and take the screenshot and send it to him.

He thumbs up the screenshot and types; Nice!

Lol! I type back.

After a few minutes of staring at the screen waiting to see that he's read the message, his text bubble pops up and he sends; I gtg for now Fee, but we can talk more later! :)

I "heart" his message and say; k, ty for talking w/ me today!

*TypingtypingTypingTyping* ofc! he sends.

Have a good rest of ur day, Brett I send.

U 2! ;) he replies. 

I put my phone down and sigh again.

Then I snatch it and change his name back to Brett💖.
