Third Person's POV

Tails was flying away as Grounder was chasing him "He's gonna get me!" Tails said, Grounder was following him on air using a proppeller in his arm "Your high-tailing days are over, brat!" Grounder said "I should have listened to Sonic and Brody" Tails said as he runs into Scratch who had a grappling gun "Oh no! I really should have listened!" Tails said and flies away "In case you hadn't noticed fuzz face, you're trapped!" Scratch said firing the grappling gun and the hands of the grappling gun grab Tails by his legs and Tails gasps and tries to fly but can't and lands on a tree branch. Just then Sonic and Brody spin up to the tree and stand next to Tails "Sonic! Brody!" Tails said "What's the prob, kid? These Robotskis pickin' on you?" Sonic asks and Tails nods "Sonic, Brody look out!" He said as Grounder flies towards them "Ha ha! Noe we got you both!" Grounder said and Sonic and Brody jump towards Grounder grabbing his left arm and they spin on it "Hey! What are you two doing? G-get off me!" Grounder said and the duo lands on Grounder's back and Brody opens Grounder's back compartment "We'll take the chicken, please" Sonic said as Brody pulls out a tray with a chicken legs and glasses of orange juices and sets it on Grounder's head and the two eat the chicken legs and they quickly spit it out "Airline food sucks!" Brody said tossing the tray away and Sonic pulls two headphones and they put them on "I wonder what the movie is on this flight" Sonic said "I don't have a movie!" Grounder said "What? No movie? That's no way to treat two first class passangers!" Brody said as the two put their hands on Grounder's eyes and get him to fly into a building crashing as the two jump off.

"Sonic, Brody help!" Tails said as Scratch was reeling Tails in as Sonic and Brody spindash cutting the middle of the rope causing Tails to be free and fly up to the tree branch and Scratch flies into the tree causing Tails to fall and lands on his head at the bottom of the tree and Sonic and Brody rush to Tails "Tails!" The two said "You okay little buddy?" Brody asks "Uh, I don't feel so good" Tails saidn"That's it! That's the last time we are gonna let this happen!" Sonic said.

*Later*

"I'm fine, Sonic and Brody! I can helitail myself! Honest!" Tails said "We don't think so!" Brody said as he walks with Sonic, who was pulling a wagon that Tails is in wrapped in bandages "At least, could we go a little faster?" Tails asks "Too risky pal. We don't want you to get hurt again, ever!" Sonic said "I won't! I promise!" Tails said "You sure won't, cause we are gonna make sure of it!" Brody said.

Brody and Sonic decided to find a new home for Tails and their first attempt.... didn't work so well, so they took him two a house of a married Stork couple but they were very forgetful causing a lot of trouble like dilling their house with water or turning the iven too high or just blowing the house up so Sonic and Brody took Tails away.

"I think I'd be safer living with Robotnik" Tails said riding the wagon again but this time Brody was pulling it as he and Sonic walk.

"Okay, so they weren't the safest family on Mobius. But we are still gonna find you a good home!" Brody said as they walk to a sergeant doberman's house.

This second attempt was....bad as well, the Sergeant was just giving the trio extreme military training and his wife was put on artillery training.... but she didn't had her glasses, so Sonic and Brody ended up taking off with Tails.

"Brody, Sonic can't we just drop this whole idea?" Tails asked as they were cooking chili dogs in a stewpot, mostly roasting their hot dogs over te fire "No way! We are finding you a family!" Sonic said as Tails holds his hot dog and Brody grabs a spoon with his roght hand.

Brody grabs chili from the stewpot pouring it on the hot dog "So we made a couple of bad choices. We'll find you the right spot. Mobius is full of nice people" Brody said.

"Come on, Sonic and Brody. Do we have to meet another family?" Tails as they were walking after their lunch "Yep! We're gonna keep meeting families till' we find the one that's perfect for you!" Sonic said as they pass ta big sign that Scratch and Grounder used to tell the trio that Tails' 'Parents' were looking for him showing a picture of baby Tails and the location of the house and Tails was excited and took off ahead and Sonic and Brody walk after him reluctantly.

*At 113 Mobius View Drive*

The parents said that Tails wandered off and was too young to remember him and gave him lots of toys that where his and Tails' dad told Sonic and Brody that Tails should be with his own kind, "He'll go to the best schools, and we'll make sure he'll never be in danger" Tails' mom said "Sounds really great huh, Sonic and Brody?" Tails asks "I guess" Sonic and Brody said sadly and Tails walks over to them "It's what you two wanted for me, wasn't it? Huh?" Tails asks concerned for the two.

"Yeah" the two said closing their eyes as a tear rolls down.

Later Tails is playing with his baseball mitt and ball in the front yard as Sonic and Brody tell the parents to not let Robotnik find them and then they walk to Tails "Well, kid gotta speed" Sonic said "Take care kiddo" Brody said "I'll miss you, Sonic and Brody" Tails said "Hey, easy on the mush! There's only one way to handle good-byes. We'll miss...." Sonic said as he and Brody run away "you!" The two said as they run.

Unaware to them there was a hidden camera were Robotnik, Scratch and Grounder are watching and Tails' 'Parents' reveal themselves to be fake revealing their faces to be ant like robots as they grab Tails who calls for Sonic and Brody to no avail as Robotnik turns off the camera. "Sonic and Brody fell for it! Tails is ours! I'll have to give myself a promotion!" Robotnik said "Congratulations, your despicableness!" Scratch said "Woth Tails under my control, I can force Sonic and Brody to do anything I want!" Robotnik said laughing evilly.

Meanwhile Sonic and Brody run through a forest and they stop and sit infront of a boulder both looking sad "It was the only thing we could do. He's just a kid" Sonic said "He belongs with his family" Brody said but the two sigh sadly "It's not gonna be the same without him" Brody said "Never thought we would think that after the uncool way we met" Sonic said and the two reminisce of the time they met Tails.

Tails was just a baby, he landed Sonic and Brody who were on their usual run. The young baby thought he was a bird cause he could fly and asked if he could live with them telling them he doesn't have a family and after some considering they let Tails tag along and he said they'll be his big brother, he also tells them his real name, Miles which he wasn't fond of so Sonic and Brody decided to call him Tails instead making the boy happy.

When they finish remember the two still stay sitting down.

'Tails belongs with his own kind' Brody remember what Tails' father told them and upon thinking it over Brody frowns and stands up "Hold on a second!" Brody said realizing something "What's wrong Brody?" Sonic asks "If those were his real parents, they'd have called him 'Miles', not the name we gave him!" Brody said and Sonic stood up catching on "That's true! Something's fishy about this. We gotta get Tails back" Sonic said and the two run off.

"Aha! Is the brat secure?" Robotnik asks walking inside the house "Secure, your nastiness" the fake dad said as Tails was tied to a chair with his mouth muffled by a cloth "Apply the test sneaker to the Magnetic Sneaker-Gripper Hedgehog and Wolf Trapper rug!" Robotnik said and Scratch test it as it gets stuck on the rug when Robotnik turns it on, Robotnik said Scratch and Grounder had to deliver a ransom note to Sonic and Brody but the two arrived disguised as postmans and after correcting spelling mistakes on the note they take off their hats and throw them at Robotnik and run past him and use the fake parents' tails to tie them to each other and they tried to run of but end up crashing on each other breaking down.

Sonic and Brody then rush to Tails untying and unmuffling Tails "Get out of here, Tails!" Brody said "I want ti stay and help!" Tails protested "You listen to Brody and get out of here or..." Sonic said "Or we'll tell everyone your real name is 'Miles' "Brody said "No! Not that!" Tails said and flyes awayand then Sonic and Brody tricked Scratch and Grounder to get trapped in the rug with Robotnik and get crushed with the smasher.

*Later*

"Sorry for all the trouble squirt" Brody said as the three walk "We were just trying to find you a real family" Sonic said "But I got a real family! I got the best one!" Tails said "Yeah? Where?" Sonic and Brody asks looking down "A family is just people who care about each other more than anyone else, right?" Tails asks "Right" Sonic said and Brody nodded "You two are it! You're my Mom" Tails said pointing at Sonic "You're my dad" Tails said pointing at Brody "and you two ar emy best friends! I l-" Tails said about to hug them "Whoa! You're not gonna use the 'L' word on us are you?" Sonic asks "Well...." Tails said when Sonic and Brody pick him up "No? Then we will cause it's a great word!" Brody said as they spin Tails around "We love you, little bro!" Brody and Sonic as they set him down "Now we got something even more importamt to say" Sonic said "Noogie time!" Brody and Sonic said and Tails giggles as Sonic and Brody give him a noggie and they stop "Boy, it's really great to be home!" Tails said and keeps giggling as Sonic and Brody start petting him smiling as this chapter comes to an end.
