Third Person's POV

Sonic, Brody and Tails are standing in a dark and bushy field "Enough traveling for today" Sonic said "Yeah, Tails. Time to set up camp" Brody said noddong and runs off into the distance and rushes back with an oven then runs off again coming back woty a refrigarator, then again woth a kitchen table and three chairs. He brings back a toaster, food  processor, mustard, a white jar, another object and a portable television. He also throws two pots and a pan onto the oven as Tails walks over to the table "Man, watching you work sure makes me hungry" Tails said to Brody "It sure does kid" Sonic said rubbing his stomach.

"I'll whip up my chef special" Brody said opeing the pot revealing hot dogs in boiling water. Using a fork, he takes out two and puts each in a hot dog bun. Using a squeeze bottle, he puts chili on it. Then, he finishes it off by putting a spoonful of chili from a large container on the side. He gives the dishes to Sonic and Tails who are sitting in the table. Sonic and Tails lick their lips and Sonic swallows his chili dog in one bit and then they hear a silly car horn. Along a nearby path, a yellow cat is coming up to the trio with a man laughing. It stops near their with the man, a clown poking himself out of the car, which is obviously too small for him.

"Do you know the way to Wacko City?" The clown asks "Nope, never heard of the place" Brody said "Well, that's okay, cause I'm not going there anyway!" The clown said laughing but one of the tires pop and he looks in anger as Sonic and Tails walk over to beside Brody, Tails still with his chili dog "Too bad, hope you got a spare" Tails said as the clown hops out of the car "Don't need a spare, just a patch..." the clown said grabbing a patch from one of his pockets and sticks it to the deflated tire, then brings out an air pump "....and a pump full of air!" The clown said "Ha ha, he's funny!" Tails said "Yeah, but what's a clown doing in the middle of nowhere?" Sonic asks as the clown starts inflating his tire, but his nose inflates as well "Big noses run in the family!" The clown said pulling his tongue returning his nose to normal. Tails laughs "He cracks me up" Tails said as the clown takes his car and condenses it into a small box "I've heard of compact cars, but this is ridiculous!" Brody said "Well, I better be on my way. Toodle-do!" The clown said and pulls out a unicycle from his pocket. He then reaches over at Tails and grabs his chili dog "Hey, that's not funny, that's my lunch!" Tails said as the clown rides off "Come on Tails, let's nab him" Sonic and Brody said running off, Brody taking off his chef gear and Tails follows from behind.

The trio stop at a cave where they can hear the clown laughing "Sounds like that clepto-clown went in there" Sonic said as the three walk into the cave unknown to them Coconuts is following them.

Sonic, Brody and Tails stop at a room "I don't believe it!" Brody said as the clown is in a room full of scientific utilities, juggling a number of objects, including the chili dog. Professor Von Schlemmer is sitting in a chair woth scientific contraption on his head, listening to him telling jokes "He was so dumb, he took a ruler to bed to see how long he slept!" The clown said "Haha, this is funny stuff! Who writes your material?" Von Schlemmer asks as Sonic, Brody and Tails walk over to him.

"Professor Von Schlemmer?" Sonic asks "What are you doing here?" Brody asks "The great Von Schlemmer? He's here? Where?! Oh, heh heh, that's me. Oh, I'm just enjoying my dream clown" Von Schlemmer said.

"Dream clown? What do ya mean?" Brody asks as Von Schlemmer turns a wheel on a machine beside him "First, I'll put him away, and then I'll explain" Von Schlemmer said and the clown gives back the hot dog to Tails putting away the rest of its juggling objects "Hey, gracias amigo!" Tails said as the clown is pulled back into the machine through a horn-like contraption on top of it "Where'd he go?" Sonic asks "Back into my noggin" Von Schlemmer said taking off the hat "To my dream world!" He said "Professor, you've invented some really nutty contraptions, but this one tops them all!" Brody said while Coconuts spying on them "Wow, a dream-gizmo! When I tell Doctor Robotnik about this, he'll give me a promotion! Oh, that means no more bathroom patrol!" Coconuts said running off out the cavern as Von Schlemmer turns the wheel on his dream machine.

"This is my dream-a-majig, patent pending! It's extremely, enoemously and unbelievably complicated, toom me over fifteen minutes to invent" Von Schlemmer said "Sounds great but I don't get it" Tails said "It brings characters from one's dreams into the real world" Von Schlemmer said "Hey, that's unzippin' believable!" Sonic said.

*Meanwhile at Robotnik's Fortress*

Coconuts has returned and is talking to Robotnik "As soon as I saw the dream-a-majig, Doctor Robotnik, I knew you'd want to know about it!" Coconuts said "Indeed, if I had that machine, I could terrorize all of Mobius" Robotnik said "I guess this means I'm finally getting my promotion, huh?" Coconuts asks "Promotion?! What for?! You should've swiped the machine and brought it to me, you nimcombot!" Robotnik said "But, but..." Coconuts said and Robotnik gives him a mop and bucket "I'm demoting you to scrub monkey third class. Now go and mop up the dungeon" Robotnik said pulling a lever opening the floor underneath Coconuts making fall into the dungeon and then Robotnik plots how to steal the machine.

*Meanwhile in Von Schlemmer's lab*

Von Schlemmer continues to work on his dream-a-majig, turning its wheel, making it squeak loudly "Your dream-a-majig sure got sone serious squeaks!" Tails said "Yeah you either need some oil" Brody said "or a mouse trap" Sonic said "It could use a rare oil found deep in the impenetrable jungle of the lost continent of Weeky-Deeky" Von Schlemmer said "Man, that's on the other side of Mobius!" Tails said "Or you can pick up a can at the mini-mall on the corner of Main and Lexington" Von Schlemmer said "Tails, you stay here, Sonic and I'll get the oil" Brody said as the two dash out of the cave.

"Gee, I'd sure like to see your dream clown again" Tails said "Me too! I'll brong him back for an encore" Von Schlemmer said putting the helmet back on bringing the clown out of the machine through the horn in its car. The clown sticks his head out of the side window, smiling. He exits the car "Boy, am I dry. I need a glass of water" The clown said reaching into his pockets pulling out a glass of water "Ah ha! This will do" the clown said drinking water causing flowers to grow from his hat making Tails and Von Schlemmer laugh "I love clowns!" Tails said "He slays me!" Von Schlemmer said, on the other side of the machine, Scratch and Grounder dressed up as clowns and make Tails and Von Schlemmer laugh and use the chance to take the professor and his dream-a-majig leaving a confused Tails.

*Back in Robotnik's Fortress*

"Unless you want to suffer the consequences, you'll convert your dream machine into a nightmare machine" Robotnik said "I refuse! Nothing you can do will make me change my mind" Von Schlemmer said "Everyone has a price! What if I gave you these priceless diamonds?" Robotnik asks showing a large tray with a mountain of big diamonds "Okie-dokie... what am I saying?! I look terrible in diamonds, never! My genius is not for sale!" Von Schlemmer said as Coconuts enters the room with Tails struggling in a bag "Hey boss, look who I nabbed!" Coconuts said "Don't bother me, Coconuts! Can't you see I'm busy violating the good doctor's human rights?" Robotnik asks and Tails pops out of the bag "You guys aren't going to get away with this!" Tails said "Oh, lookie what we have here: Sonic and Brody's two tailed little friend" Robotnik said "I did good, huh doctor?! Gueas that means I get out of dungeon mop detail, huh?!" Coconuts asks "You are correct.... you should've captured Sonic and Brody!" Robotnik said handing Coconuts a shovel and flashlight "Five miles of my sewer are plugged with crud and sludge. Go and clean it out!" Robotnik said pulling a lever opening the floor underneath Coconuts, plunging him to the depths belows as a large robot grabs Tails and Robotnik orders to throw him in a cell "Now get to work professor or Tails will suffer the consequences!" Robotnik said "Okay, okay, you win! I'll need tools, get me a spectograph analyzer and a bobby pin" Von Schlemmer said.

*Back at the cave lab*

Sonic and Brody return to find Tails and the professor missing  "They're gone! I don't like the looks of this" Sonic said and the two see some loose screws and nuts. Brody picks them up "Hmmm, a couple of bolts from those dopes, Scratch and Grounder. We are gonna pay Ro-nut-nik a visit" Brody said and the two rush off.

*Back at Robotnik's Fortress*

Von Schlemmer finished the modifications to the dream-a-majig "There finished your miserable nightmare machine. Now, will you keep your promise and let us go?" Von Schlemmer asks "Me, keep a promise?! Ha, that's rich! Fools! Idiots!" Robotnik said "Oh, you called?" Grounder asks as he and Scratch enter and Robotnik has them take the professor to the cells as he puts the dream-a-majig helmet on "Now, to set loose a hideous, horrible nightmare that will let me take over the whole planet" Robotnik said.

Tails was in a cell when Scratch and Grounder throw the professor in "Get in there you old coot!" Scratch said slamming the door close and locks it "New keys for old" Brody and Sonic said arriving in disguises of salesman with moustache "Get your brand new keys, right here!" Sonic said "New keys for old?! Hey, that sounds like a good idea!" Grounder said "Take a look at these babies" Brody said showing a collection of keys "See how fresh and new they are?" Sonic asks "Wow! Those are neat! Here, give me that shiny one" Scratch said and Brody gives one of the keys "Here you go" Brody said "And here's one for you too" Sonic said giving Grounder a key as the two leave.

As Sonic and Brody watch them leave while they have the key to the cell, the two remove their disguises and free Tails and the professor "I knew you two would save us in the nick of time" Tails said as they hear a monster yell suprising the four "Sounds like we got some more saving to do" Brody said as he and Sonic dash off.

*Back at Robotnik's chair room*

Robotnik is sleeping and snoring on his chair wlth the dream-a-majig's helmet on. After a couple of loud snores a large grey monster comes out of the horn of the dream-a-majig. It resembles a large ghost with three eyes. Robotnik wakes up as he hears it's yelps and he laughs "How gorgeously gross! How fantastically frightful! Now, all of my Mobius will be under my power" Robotnik said as Sonic and Brody run into the room "Not if we have anything to say about it" Sonic and Brody said as Robotnik grabs a microphone from the dream-a-majig "Now hear this, boogey-man. You are my nightmare, and you will do as I command. Destroy that pesky hedgehog and that pesky wolf!" Robotnik said and Sonic reacts in fear and grabs a Robotnik's bust statue "This'll stop ya!" Sonic said "Wait Sonic" Brody said when Sonic threw the statue at the machine making an electric aura appear around the monster as it grimaces and cowers as Sonic and Brody watch.

It eventually overcomes this and becomes angrier and Robotnik laughs "Now my worse nightmare is your worse nightmare!" Robotnik said as the monster corners the duo "I got you two, hedgehog and wolf! I got you at last!" Robotnik said as Sonic and Brody run away as the monster tried to pounce at them.

The duo head back to Tails and Von Schlemmer's cell "Time to speed, kid!" Sonic said "Aww" Tails said as Sonic grabs Von Schlemmer and rushes off and Brody grabs Tails rushing off too.

*Down the Mountain of Robotnik's Fortress*

"Phew! What a close call, but we're safe now" Tails said "I wouldn' t bet on it little buddy" Brody said "I think our problems are just beginning" Sonic said.

Robotnik starts using the boogey-man to scare the villagers out of the villages so Robotnik, Scratch and Grounder loot them.

"Mobius won't be safe until that boogey-man us history!" Brody said "How are we gonna stop him?" Tails asks "There's only one way to get rid of the creature: soak it in vinegar and lemon juice" Von Schlemmer said "Vinegar and lemon juice?" Sonic asks "Oops! That's how you get rid of ketchup stains. Now I remember what to do!" Von Schlemmer said and they head to his lab.

*Back at Von Schlemmer's cave*

"There my new invention, the dream-kadoodle, is finished" Von Schlemmer said, the machine looks smaller than the dream-a-majig has the same wheel control, but instead of a horn, has a long pipe leading to a human-sized glass cylinder "What does it do?" Brody asks "It works just opposite from my dream-a-majig. Instead of bringing dreams out of people, it can put people into dreams!" Von Schlemmer said turning a knob turning the inside of the cylinder into a purple rotating cloud "Now, just leap into the cloud portal and you'll end up in Dreamsville. Or East Mobius. It's not quite perfected yet" Von Schlemmer said "Cool! This is going to be fun!" Tails said "Dreamsville is a very unpredictablr place, but somehow you must find the Dream Meister" Von Schlemmer said "Only the Dream Meister knows how to get rid of the boogey-men" Von Schlemmer said and the trio nodded jumping inside.

*Later*

"Well, hiw was Pittsburgh?" Von Schlemmer asks when thetrio got back with instructions "Pittsburgh?" Sonic asks confused "Don't you remember? We went to Dreamsville" Brody said "Oh, yeah, of course, how's the Princess Hoochy-Koochy?" Von Schlemmer asks "You sent us to find the Dream Meister" Tails said "I did? Huh, well, you have an honest face son, you gotta be right" Von Schlemmer said and Brody pulls out the instructions "And she gave us this to get rid of the Boogey-man" Brody said and they read it realising it's junk food and they have to use it to make a mega boogey-man to scare Robotnik's boogey-man right back into his dreams and Sonic and Brody remember Tails gets nightmares when he eats lots of junk food.

Brody dashes off and returns with a large pile of junk food "Oh boy, what an appetizer!" Tails said "Start scarfing, pal, we need a junk food boogey-monster, pronto!" Sonic said and Tails starts eating "Mmm! Delicious!" Tails said and the four hear the screams of villagers and they run out with the Professor carrying the portal-dream-a-majig and Sonic and Brody grab it running off.

Sonic and Brody arrive disguised as doctors and got Robotnik to go to bed falling asleep and when he sleeps Sonic and Brody put the portable-dream-a-majig on Robotnik's head "Now for your nightcap" Brody said as the Boogey-man appears and Tails was behind the bed with a microphone "Go get him, junk food boogey-guy! Use your ketchup and mustard" Tails said as the junk food boogey-man scares Robotnik's boogey man back into Robotnik's dreams through the dream-a-majig.

Sonic and Brody take the portable-dream-a-majig from Robotnik wakin him up "Mobius' nightmare is over and Robotnik's just beginning" Brody said "Great work big buddy, we make a pretty mean team!" Tails said to his boogey-man who smiles in joy as Von Schlemmer arrives "You did good pal!" Sonic and Brody said to Tails "Hey no problem, all in a nap's work" Tails said "You sure packed away a lot of junk food there" Sonic said "Yeah, I know" Tails said and his stomach gurgles causing him to burp.

"I think I need something to settle on my stomach. Boogey-buddy, do me a favor will ya? Go get me a chili dog!" Tails said "Make that two!" Von Schlemmer said "Make that twelve-thousand, two-hundred and seventy" Brody said "For me and Brody" Sonic said "Really?! Twelve-thousand, two-hundred and seventy?!" Von Schlemmer asks "Hey, two guys can dream, can't they?" Sonic and Brody ask as they wink at the readers as this chapter comes to an end.
