Croffman, Tipphany, and Sharlette tracked down the location of the factory. It was an old robotics factory. They assumed it was where all the androids were coming from, but they couldn't confirm it. Croffman had a bad feeling about this factory. At first, it seemed like a normal factory, that was until Croffman spotted a shadow figure in one of the windows.
"This is the place. Remember, guys, don't do anything to set off any alarms," Tipphany said.
"What if there are androids inside?" Sharlette asked.
"Fight them off best you can, and regroup. We can't risk losing anybody tonight. Hacker, do you have a map of the factory?" Tipphany asked.
"Yep, I just sent it to your wristband. Be careful down there. This place was abandoned for a reason," Michael said.
"We'll try our best," Croffman replied.
"Alright, according to the map, there's a lift that should take us to the lower levels. We take the stairs we might end up being in a tight space running into androids," Tipphany said.
"I could try to control them, but I've only been able to do two at once," Sharlette answered.
"And I can only control shadows that I summon, so we're a bit limited on our options here," Croffman said.
"We'll have to make it work. Come on, we're running out of time," Tipphany said. She ran down towards the factory and took cover hiding from any cameras.
Croffman and Sharlette followed Tipphany's lead into the factory. So far, there were no androids that were active inside. They got to the lift and started heading down to the lower levels.
"Pixel, this might seem weird to ask, but have you been here before? You seem to be on edge about this whole place," Sharlette said.
"I was here only once... I never wanted to go back," Tipphany answered.
"Why not?"
"This is the same place where we rescued the Hacker. His weapons were running low on charge, and androids were coming from every direction. Commander Pixel went in. We were able to save the Hacker, but Pixel lost her arm in the process. There was something here that she could never bring to words," Croffman answered.
"I was under cover, trying to find my father. Hacker just happened to be my partner. He didn't know who I was. He didn't know I was on a mission. He just let me do my thing. I didn't trust him at first, but when he found out I was the last Creetling, I had no choice but to explain everything to him. Our bond grew. Then there was a fire here one night, while we were fighting androids... I lost my arm fighting them... The next thing I knew, Hacker was trying to drag me out of the fire. We found a safe room, stayed hidden.. Night Watcher found us after using his shadow magic to get the androids under control," Tipphany said.
"So that's what happened to your arm. When you came back to Boneknapper, Foxdroid, and I, we were worried sick," Sharlette said.
"Some things are best kept secret, Puppet. There's a time for everything," Croffman replied.
Just then, the elevator shook. This caused the three of them all to lose their balance and collapse to the ground.
"Ow.. Hacker, what in the 20 realms was that?!" Tipphany yelled.
"Commander, the signal is bad, but it looks like you got some mini androids messing with the lift! You better get to them before they make the whole thing crash!" Michael yelled.
Pixel opens the hatch on top of the lift with her blaster in hand and sees 3 mini androids messing with the elevator cords. She managed to throw one of them off the top, but the other two were giving her problems. She knew there wasn't much time till the lift was to crash, so she needed to think fast.
"Get those doors open and jump! I'll hold them off!" she yelled.
"Pixel, are you crazy?!" Croffman yelled.
"Just go!"
While Tipphany was fighting the mini androids, more came quickly. Luckily, Croffman and Sharlette were able to jump off the elevator and land safely on one of the other floors. As for Tipphany, she was still fighting the mini androids. One of the androids cut the last cord, causing the elevator to fall rapidly to the bottom floor. Tipphany tried flying up to Croffman and Sharlette, but the mini androids pounced at her and pulled her back into the lift just as it crashed.
"PIXEL!!!!"
