Part 4: Conspiracy

The game turned out to be exhausting, leaving the Chipmunks and the Chipettes bushed.

"Two days before the competition and my legs hurt," Theodore groaned.

"Let's just face it. We're gonna lose," said Jeanette.

"I guess so," Simon agreed.

Everyone lied down the grass, except Miss Miller who later went back to her home.

"I... I almost forgot!" Jeanette gasped.

"What is it?" asked Theodore.

"The bike race is called a Bike Relay. One team consisting of four participants may join," Jeanette answered.

"So... how did you sign up?" Simon asked.

"Oh, we... uhh..." said Eleanor, "We still haven't signed," Eleanor answered.

"The problem is we didn't think that Brit seems to dislike it," Jeanette added.

"You didn't ask her?" Theodore asked.

"We would but she's not here," Eleanor responded. "We thought that it might upset her if we didn't consult her if she wants to join."

They remained lying on the grasses, watching the sapphire sky above them.

"Fellas, dinner!" they heard Dave called.

"Well, it's rest day tomorrow?" Alvin asked.

"Yeah," Jeanette sighed. "Let's just do our best in the race."

"O... Okay," Alvin replied disappointedly.

The Chipmunks and the Chipettes went back home, thinking if there's still something they can do for their project to be great even though they don't win the race.

"So how's your practice?" Dave asked while they were eating dinner.

"It's... It's fine, Dave," answered Simon as he curls his spaghetti on his fork.

"Well, I hope that you'll win!" Dave spoke, trying to cheer his sons up.

After dinner, the three leisurely went back to their room.

They were about to close their eyes when suddenly, they heard someone calling from the window.

"You guys!" they heard Brittany's voice called.

"Well guess who's here?" Alvin spoke as he saw Brittany and the Chipettes from the zipline.

"I have something to show you!" she beamed, showing them a disc.

"What's that you got there?" Theodore asked.

Jeanette took the disc from Brittany and opened up the TV. After inserting the disc to the DVD player, a video appeared on the screen.

"I got this video from Marina! This video captures that the mysterious bike racer champion is really a cheater together with his teammates!" Brittany explained.

"Do you know who they are?" Simon asked. "Did Marina told you?"

"She doesn't know them, too, but she's one of the viewers who saw the cheating and she wants us to know it," Brittany answered.

"According to his moves, he might be Bocarter!" Alvin exclaimed.

"Bocarter?" asked Theodore.

"I raced him a year ago, remember? I say that it's him masking himself so that no one can notice him and his dirty works," Alvin answered.

"Well it might be Derek," Simon spoke.

"Yeah, you might be right, too," Alvin replied.

"Ray Ray?" asked Theodore.

"Whoever it is, we'll make sure that he's not going to win!" Jeanette spoke bravely.

"Then who will join the race? We'll sign up tomorrow before it closes," Eleanor asked.
