🌷PART 2: PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT🌷

"So, Alvin? Ringing any bells?" asked Eleanor.

The Chipmunks and the Chipettes, startled about forgetting the events they planned immediately ready themselves up for their first day of practice.

Everyone gathered inside the Chipettes tree house, discussing about the changes of events.

"So I looked up the internet last night and I found out that the bike race will be this Monday afternoon," Jeanette discussed.

"That's great because we still have whole three days to practice!" Simon beamed.

They were about to come downstairs when they were interrupted by Brittany's phone ringing.

"Hello?"

After the call, everyone was curious of who it could be. "Sorry, guys. Marina Rodentia called and I," Brittany answered, "I have to go to her. She said it's an emergency!"

"Okay, Brit. You... You may go," Jeanette sympathized.

Brittany immediately ran away without even looking back.

"I guess we'll just continue without Brittany," Theodore spoke.

"Come on, guys. Let's start," Alvin uttered.

The five went towards the sidewalk, riding their bikes.

"All we have todo is to practice our speed so that we can win the race," Eleanor spoke.

"Whoever comes last towards the market is a rotten egg!" Alvin grinned.

"In three, two," Simon counted, "one!"

As soon as they heard the signal, they all dashed towards the market downtown.

After the race, everyone did great. Even though Theodore got last because of his excitement of the smells of the newly baked cupcakes, he did well, too.

Everyone went back to their houses, ready to take a snack after the exhausting mini race.

"I told you, I'm the best bike rider among us six!" Alvin boasted.

"No, you're the best skateboarder," Simon corrected.

"I can be both, you know!" Alvin insisted.

"Aha, sure!" Simon answered sarcastically.

"Are you jealous because I'm the one who finished first and you finished second?" asked Alvin.

"I'm the one who should have finished first when you didn't interrupted me that there's a rock in front of me!" Simon responded.

"Guys, guys, stop it!" Theodore spoke.

"Simon started it!"

"Wha- You're the one who annoyed me first!"

Startled of the fighting he heard, Dave, who was eating breakfast at the kitchen, came towards them.

"What's going on here?" Dave asked.

"Simon's jealous that I finished our race first," Alvin replied.

"I'm not jealous. I'm just explaining to him that he cheated!" Simon uttered.

All of a sudden, the room was filled with noises coming from the two's fight.

"You two shut up!" Dave exclaimed. "What is that race anyway? I thought the race you're going at is the annual bike race on the city next week?"

"Dave, Dave, we're just... you know... practicing," Alvin answered.

"Then why did I hear cheating and finishing first?" Dave asked.

Realizing what they did, the two became reticent. "I'll just go upstairs to finish my homework," Simon spoke.

"I'll just... uh... visit the Chipettes," Alvin added.

Uncomfortable of being left alone in front of the angry Dave, Theodore walked leisurely towards the kitchen. "And I'll just eat breakfast on the kitchen," he spoke.

Meanwhile, at the Chipettes house, Brittany's still not home.

"I wonder what's the emergency is," Jeanette spoke.

"Yeah, me, too," said Eleanor.

The door suddenly opened and there they found Alvin with his eyes furrowed.

"Alvin?"

"Ugh! Maybe bike racing is a bad idea!" he spoke.

"Then what should we do tomorrow?" asked Jeannette.

"Maybe we just have to... have to play sports that, you know, requires speed and teamwork!" Alvin answered sarcastically.

"Alvin, that's a great idea!" Eleanor beamed.

"It... It is?"

"Yeah!"

"Then maybe we can play soccer tomorrow, right?" asked Jeannette.
