Chapter 39

Double update <3 I will try to get this story finished soon!

____________

It has been five days. Five days with crying, walking around in circles and staring out of a window for Jimin. He has not had the energy to do anything, only talk with his grandmother a few times, but aside from that he has only been depressed. I seems that Jungkook and Taehyung have been reaching out to Hoseok because Jimin is clearly ignoring them... they seem overly worried, but Jimin doesn't care. He's too mad to care... or maybe it's sadness, he doesn't know anymore.

That's why Hoseok is currently sitting before him, trying to force some logic into the younger's head.

"Please Jimin, you know fully well that this isn't healthy for you. Why don't you just go talk with them?" Hoseok asks for like the third time because Jimin keeps missing what he's saying.

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"You would never understand," Jimin spits. How could he ever explain what he has heard? Taehyung's reaction when he mentioned his grandparents, his grandmother's words about his mother and most of all that bastard in jail. It's just all too much at once.

"Just at least try Jimin, your parents are worried about you. You can't keep ignoring them," Hoseok stresses. Jungkook has texted him several time every day in order to keep himself updated on how Jimin is holding up. Hoseok can almost feel the frustration they are going through simply from those texts.

They have not visited Hoseok apartment because they know that's not what Jimin wants, so they are just going to wait for him to come back.

"It will just cause another fight..." Jimin sighs and closes his eyes for a second. There's a arching headache in the back of his skull, making it harder for him to think rationally. On one side, he wants to stay here forever and just forget that he has a family. On the other side, he knows he will only truly find peace in his heart if he gets all of this solved out with his fathers. Even if it will mean their family will be broken, it's probably worth the risk.

After a few more minutes of himself debating inside his head, he slowly nods and agrees to Hoseok's offer of taking him there. Jimin's only assurance is that he now has Hoseok, he can always rely on him. That's what he needs right now.

"Come on," Hoseok stands up while holding Jimin's hand, dragging him up with him. He takes them to the entrance where he grabs Jimin's jacket and scarf and starts dressing him. It's like Jimin has turned into a helpless child, now his mood is even worse because he knows where he's going now.

"Cheer up, okay? I know this is what you want too," Hoseok says when they are both fully dressed in their outdoor clothing. The elder cups Jimin's face and gently kisses his forehead, this leads Jimin to take a deep breath and close his eyes. If everything goes wrong, he can always go here.

"Yeah..." he mumbles and they pull back, their hands finding each other to intertwine. In silence, they leave the apartment, heading towards Jimin's home.

_______

"Can't you come?" Jimin asks desperately as they stand outside his familiar house, currently deciding if Hoseok should walk in there with him or not. Jimin wants him to come, but Hoseok keeps declining.

"No Jimin, this isn't my fight. I will only make it uncomfortable for your parents," the elder states and Jimin huffs in annoyance. This is not helping on his mood at all, but he does understand where Hoseok is coming from. Whatever is going to happen behind that door probably won't be pretty, it's best to safe Hoseok from that.

Jimin has decided that he's going to confront his father today. About everything. Or else he might never heal from this broken heart.

"Okay..." he sighs and takes a deep breath. Hoseok gives him a peck on the lips and then encourages him to walk inside. After a few second of debating whether he should reconsider or actually get it together, he goes with the second option. He hesitantly walks up the driveway and takes the stairs to the front door.

As he's holding his hand tightly around the door handle, he feels his pulse increase and his eyes already sting with tears. No matter how much he tries to deny it, he has missed his parents a lot. Not just the days he has been at Hoseok, also before where he ignored them the entire time. Maybe that's why he's so afraid to give that harmless push to the door and let himself inside.

What if this is going to mess up their family forever? Will he ever get back the things he lost?

He shakes his head and forces himself to walk inside. The door falls shut behind him with a heavy thud and he uses the few seconds where he hasn't been noticed yet to take off his jacket and shoes.

Some walking is heard from the other room's and Taehyung the first to show himself.

"Jungkook? Did you leav-" his words stop abruptly in his throat when he steps outside the kitchen, spotting a certain someone in the doorway. The metal dish he's holding in his hands slips from his fingers and lands against the floor with a shrilling sound, notifying Jungkook who walks out of the living room in confusion.

"What's the matter?" he asks and looks at his husband, seeing that he's staring in another direction. Jungkook decides to follow his gaze and just like Taehyung, he gets shocked when he sees Jimin standing there. The boy isn't looking at them, he's just staring emptily at the wall that's behind them.

"J-Jimin?" Taehyung begins before his eyes grow big and he rushes over to his son. Without warning he drags his son into a hug, "oh my god... I-I'm so glad you're back..."

To be honest, he started doubting Jimin would return after he had been gone for so many days. Taehyung feels like he doesn't know his son anymore, so he can't figure out what Jimin is going to do in the future. In the past, he used to have at least an idea, but now he's completely clueless. That's why it's to Taehyung's biggest relief that Jimin is finally home.

He leans back and runs his hands along Jimin's face, "baby, why did you stay away from so long? I know I might h-have went overboard back then, and I'm so sorry," Taehyung rushes out and Jimin just bites his lip while he looks at his father. Now he just feels bad.

"I-I'm sorry," he mutters and looks down, but Taehyung just gently grabs underneath his chin.

"Don't be, just... Jimin we really need to know what's going... we can't live like this, you know that too right?" Taehyung questions, almost in a whisper. Jungkook joins them and agrees, looking at Jimin with expecting eyes. They have been so worried and so depressed, it's hard living on a normal life when the one it's mostly circling around disappears like that.

Jimin opens his mouth in order to say something, but nothing comes out. He doesn't know where to begin. His mind and heart are fighting, none of them can agree on how to approach this situation the right way without hurting his parents or himself. At the moment, that seems impossible.

"Jimin?" Taehyung questions, but the younger is still totally lost for words. "Come on, lets go into the living room."

Jungkook gently throws an arm around Jimin's shoulders and starts dragging him into the living room. If they sit down, it might be a little easier for them to calm Jimin down. However, they don't get far before Jimin stops in his steps.

"N-No... I just want to get this over with..." Jimin says. His parents looks at him confused before they place themselves in front of him and waits for him to say something, but once again he can't talk.

"Jimin, we are sorry if we did something but... being left in the dark for so long is not nice, okay? You have been so depressed and angry lately, but never given us a reason why," Taehyung explains and Jimin immediately feels his body freeze. The anger is building up inside of him once again, it's totally out of his control.

"We are just worried about you, whatever is bothering you, we will figure it out," Jungkook adds. Jimin takes a few deep breath in order to not freak out. Just like he expected, he can feel himself wanting to get into an argument. Wanting to scream and yell at everyone.

"Yeah, being left in the dark hurts..." he mumbles out. Jungkook and Taehyung look at each other, wondering what Jimin is hinting at.

"What do you mean?" Jungkook asks after a few seconds of silence.

"That you guys must know everything about leaving someone in the dark," he spits, his voice now thick with attitude and anger. Jungkook just blinks in shock where Taehyung's head tilts slightly.

"Stop speaking in riddles Jimin, it won't make it any easier," Taehyung says and Jimin feels his blood boil.

"Riddles? You're acting as if you haven't been talking in riddles my entire life!" he raises his voice and takes a challenging step forward. Taehyung frowns and keeps his ground.

"We aren't getting anywhere if you keep talking like that Jimin! What do you want me to do? Read your mind?" Taehyung questions, almost laughing at how ridiculous this situation is, mostly because he's so damn naïve to know what's wrong.

"That my whole life is a lie!" Jimin yells.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Jungkook now throws in.

"That my entire life you have lead me on know that... that she's out there..." Jimin almost shakes, that's how angry he is. He doesn't even know what's coming out of his mouth anymore, it just spills out whatever pops first into his head.

"Who?" Jungkook and Taehyung says at the same time, their expressions showing that they are starting to get annoyed with Jimin's weird ass behavior.

"My mother!"

Jungkook's eyebrows flies up in shock and Taehyung's entire body freezes.

"Why did you never tell me she's alive!?"
