"You've gained quite a bounty yourself by now, do you know that, Zoldyck?"
The way he said your last name sent a chill down your spine. You knew how much money was placed on a Zoldyck's head. You were a bounty hunter yourself.
Killing a Zoldyck would get you billions.
You kept your body entirely still. Last thing you wanted to do was startle someone and have them shoot you.
Only moving your eyes, not your head, you tried to glance back at the man right behind you. A gun pressed against the back of your head. His hand gripping your shoulder firmly.
You wouldn't be able to teleport away from him. Even if you did, you'd just get shot.
"Why haven't you killed me yet?" You asked, trying to keep your voice as steady as possible. Zoldycks don't show fear. You're a Zoldyck now.
Cowering will get you nowhere. They're nowhere near as strong as the troupe or the Zoldycks so why?
Why can't you beat them. You've won everytime, against worse opponents, why can't you right now?
"Oh I plan to," Who you assume to be the leader said, rising from his seat. Slowly approaching you, hands folded behind his back, "but that look of fear in your eyes? That is what I live for."
"You're insane." You snarled at him, briefly noticing you were practically the exact same height.
"Funny words coming from you," He laughed, his hand moving up to grab your chin harshly, "I've read up on the information on you. A Blacklist Hunter who can't bear to see someone die. But is completely fine leading someone onto the path of death."
"I'm not-"
Your eyes widened as your head snapped to the side, fast enough to give you whiplash. A stinging pain on your cheek.
He slapped you. God you were going to kill him. He fucking slapped you.
"Don't pretend to have moral high ground," He hissed, grabbing your chin again, "Is that what you tell yourself? That you're perfect because you don't actually dirty your hands? God you're pathetic."
If there wasn't a gun pressing right into your head, you'd dig your teeth into his neck.
"Insult me all you want," You laughed, stuffing your hands in your pockets, trying to ignore the way they were shaking, "we both know you're stalling. Even if you do kill me, my husband will kill you."
"You think I'm scared? Is that what you think this is, Zoldyck?" God you hated the way the name slipped from his lips, as if it actually belonged to you.
"You haven't shot me for a reason, all these guns and not a single bullet."
"Fine." He dropped your chin, gesturing at the guy standing right behind you, "Shoot them."
The second he let go of your chin, you ducked. All you needed to do was get this guys hand off you, then you could teleport away.
Watching the bullet that was meant for you fly into the leaders forehead instead made you freeze.
Time seemed to slow down as you watched the body fall to the floor. Barely registering the loud 'thump' sound.
Before you could realize what you had done, the guns were trained on you again. No hesitation as the bullets flew your way.
For the second time since you got this ability, you teleported out of pure panic. The sound of the gunshots ringing in your ear.
The man you happened to have teleported near turned towards you. His gun aimed at your chest.
You teleported again, an opposite side of the room. Distantly registering the sound of another gunshot, and a scream.
It wasn't you who got shot. So you didn't care.
Every time a gun went off, you'd teleport. Sometimes stray bullets would hit some of the soldiers. In your mind, that wasn't your fault. They started it. Didn't they?
Snatching the weapon out of another man's hands before he even realized you were there, you aimed right between the eyes.
By the time the room had finally quieted down, you felt like you were going to vomit. Breathing heavily, your hand and gripped onto the desk, nails digging into the hard word.
Your other hand loosely held a gun. Not even sure how many bullets were left in it, or which body it belonged to.
"You- you're a monster-" Someone hissed, clutching their shoulder. Blood dripping down their arm. You couldn't tell if the blood covering the rest of their clothes was theirs or not.
Everything was too red. Smelt too much like copper.
"I'm.. not-" You replied, your grip weak as you aimed the weapon towards their head. Trying to convince yourself more than him, "You started it- it wasn't- it's not my fault-"
"Y/n?" A voice you only somewhat recognized called out from the doorway.
Instinctively, you turned your weapon towards the new noise. Unloading the rest of the bullets.
The injured man seemed to make a last ditch attempt at killing you, a bullet flying your way. Teleporting out of the way felt too natural for you to be comfortable with.
When a knife dug into the injured man's skull, you finally realized who you had shot at.
"Chrollo?" You called out weakly, the room spinning. Leaning against a wall, panting.
"Hey, hey, it's me, it's me," He reassured, holding his hands up in mock surrender.
You briefly noticed the red soaking the side of his shirt. A hole right near his waist. You were too out of it to pay it any mind.
Dropping your weapon, you used your ability one last time, slumping into his arms.
"I didn't mean to- I didn't- I'm not- not a monster-" You sobbed, clinging to him.
"You didn't do anything wrong," He assured, kissing your forehead, "I'm so sorry I'm late baby."
"Didn't- it's not my fault- it's not- why was he- why was he looking at me like that?" Your breath hitched, shutting your eyes tight so you wouldn't have to see the bodies littering the floor. "It wasn't my fault-"
"Hey, hey, I'm here now, shh," He cooed, pulling you closer to him, before asking "You've learned to teleport?"
"Not my fault, it's not- I'm not like you-" You whimpered again, ignoring his question.
"Hey, hey, answer me, can you tell me what your ability is, at least?" He rubbed your back, holding you close.
"Can- can teleport," You sniffled, not questioning it when he took your hand in his. Or when something pressed up against your palm for a brief second.
You passed out not long after.
—
"Good morning, dear," Chrollo hummed as you woke up. You head against his bare chest. His waist wrapped in bandages for some reason.
Oh. Right.
"Shot you..?" You murmured, looking up at him. The whole night was a blur.
Though, in some way, you felt something missing. Despite not having a single injury.
"Twice, actually," He laughed, pressing your head back down against his chest, "I don't mind, you didn't mean to, did you?"
You shook your head no, letting your eyes slip closed again. Your arms wrapping around him gently, avoid brushing up against his injury.
"Don't worry, you won't be leaving my side ever again."
His tone sounded reassuring, but you knew it was nothing more than a threat.
"Could teleport.." You mumbled, nuzzling into him further.
"Not anymore. But I was going to break the news to you more gently," His hand stroked your hair, combing through it gently.
Your heart skipped a beat when you tried to use your ability. Nothing happened. Your breath catching in your throat.
"Chrollo?" You questioned, as you sat up, panic building in your chest.
"Shh, shh, you didn't need it anyway." He hummed, tilting your chin up. Planting a soft kiss on your lips.
—
It took almost six months before Chrollo trusted you enough to let you meet with the Troupe again.
Somehow, walking into the room with all of them in there was more awkward this time. A large moment of silence, before someone walked up to you.
"Sticking around this time, twig?" One of the blondes asked, his arm looping around your shoulder, "Thought boss was gonna kill me last time you left. So if you run again, don't do it under my watch, got it?"
"Hey! Don't give them ideas, Phinks!" Shalnark swatted the other blonde away. Dragging you closer to him protectively.
"I'm not saying they should leave!" Phinks rolled his eyes at being pushed away, "I'm just saying I don't wanna be there if they do."
"I'll note that in my escape plan." You laughed, enjoying the human interaction. The only one you had to talk to was Chrollo.
Shalnark placed his hands on both your shoulders, staring at you intently as he spoke, "Don't ever leave again."
"I was joking, don't worry," You leaned into Shal's shoulder, purring as his hand immediately went up to play with your hair, "If I do escapes, it's totally going to be under Phinks' watch."
"Hey!" Both Shal and Phinks shouted in unison.
You just laughed and ran away from the two of them, ducking around furniture and bouncing off walls.
Guess this wasn't too bad. If you didn't consider the fact that you weren't allowed anywhere without Chrollo. Had the threat of Feitan if you ever tried to leave. And barely got any outside human interaction.

Fun Facts:
• Proofread a few times, but I'm really out of it so there might be some mistakes. Pls comment if u see any
• If you plan to read all the endings, be prepared that they might be similar as they all start at the same point (Y/n being held at gunpoint) though I will try to make them different from each other as best as I can. Also gonna try to write en as fast as possible so ur not waiting too long for ur ending.
• Anyone asking why Y/n don't just teleport to a different continent, realize that they were in a panicked "fight or flight" mode. Most of their teleportation was done solely by instinct, and not some plan in their head.
Also, since it's relevant to the ending: For those of you unaware of Chrollo's Nen ability, (though o think most of you know it), this is it (copied from the hxh wiki.)
Chrollo can steal the Nen abilities of others to use as his own through a conjured book known as "Bandit's Secret." The victim, of course, no longer has access to the stolen ability. The theft happens under strict conditions:
Chrollo must witness the Nen ability in action with his eyes.
He must ask questions about Nen and be answered by the victim.
His victim's palm must touch the handprint on the cover of Bandit's Secret.
All of the above must be completed within one hour.
So that's why Y/n can no longer teleport.
