48: Diabolical Hisoka Chapter
Eat food, drink water, and get 5+ hours of sleep tonight:(
After three months, it felt weird leaving the chairman's side. You had been on the run for so long, and then Netero not only agreed to train you, but insured your protection.
Considering it takes years to fully learn Nen, and even longer to master it, you could see why he didn't fully mentor you. He had far more important things to do.
But, that left you with one issue.
You still had no idea had to use Nen.
Yeah you had the ability to use and control it now. But you had no clue how to do that.
—
You found it quite easy to break into the room. Not that it was really breaking in, Hisoka's door wasn't locked. And none of the Heaven's Arena employees even batted an eye.
You weren't sure the next time Hisoka would even be back. According to the official Heaven's Arena website, he was supposed to be fighting this week. But according to word on the street, it wasn't guaranteed he'd show up.
Still, you couldn't help but be on edge. If you were Chrollo or Illumi, you'd keep an eye on your competitors. Hisoka was the easiest one to watch. And they both had enough people to spare to trail him.
Arguably, you could've gone to anyone else. You saw quite a few Hunters filter through when you were with Netero. Maybe you should leave now and try tracking down one of th-
Your eyes locked onto the door when you heard a click, immediately drawn from your thoughts.
Hisoka barely stepped into the room, before his eyes were already locked on yours.
To be fair, you were sitting criss-cross on his counter, a fork stuck in a can of sliced pineapple.
What? You weren't allowed to be picky about food when you were literally robbing others.
"My my, what a pleasant surprise ♡" You could feel the immediate regret as he closed the door, locking it behind him as he approached you, "You have quite a renowned disappearing act, you know? ♡"
Unsure of what to do, you shoved a whole slice of pineapple into your mouth. Maintaining eye contact as you chewed.
"But a magician who never reappears is a bore, don't you agree? ♧" He loomed over you, an expectant grin on his face.
"Can you shut up about magic for five minutes?" You asked, clearly trying to get yourself killed.
He just grinned, easily pulling you off the counter and into his arms. Against your will. Not that it surprised you, none of them cared about consent.
"If you don't let go I will-"
"You'll what?" He laughed wrapping his arms around you, making sure you realized how trapped you were, "Now, now, be good, and stay still ♤"
You considered biting him, his shoulder was just in biting range. But he'd probably enjoy that, so you refrained.
"Is Chrollie or Lulu keeping watch over you?" You asked instead, letting him have this small victory for now. Just for now.
He just laughed, one of his hands moving up to play with your hair, "Straight to the point? You know I'd prefer to chat and catch up ♢"
"Hisoka."
"So feisty," He twirled your hair around his finger, before suddenly pulling away, "You're free from their eye, for now ♡"
You eyed him warily, watching his every move. Waiting for a slightest change in expression, any sign of deceit "How sure are you of that?"
"Very," He assured, moving to a nearby couch. Gesturing for you to follow as he sat down, "Now, why don't you entertain me? Tell me how you've been? ♡"
"Fine." You replied blandly as you sat across from him, arms crossed as you glanced around the room.
"Ah-Ah," He tilted his head, giving you a closed eye smile, "but you look so tired, my dear, ♤"
"I slept on the way here," You tried to change the subject to something more important, only to get interrupted.
"Not that kind of tired ♢" Hisoka corrected, disappearing from his seat to right beside yours with a poof of smoke, a Nen trick, maybe. You could never tell with him.
Leaning against the arm rest, he leaned down closer to your ear to taunt, "Just so completely and utterly defeated ♡"
You frowned. Leaning as far away from him as the chair would allow, which wasn't much. Giving him an unimpressed look, "Last I checked I was winning, actually."
"If that were true, you wouldn't come seeking my help. ♤"
You hated how intelligent he was some times. Though it was clear that the only reason you'd be here was if you needed something.
Sighing, you looked away. From this high up, you had a great view of the sunset, refusing to face him as you admitted, "I.. want you to teach me Nen."
"Aw, poor thing ♡" He quite clearly wasn't surprised, tilting your chin to face him as he stood over you, "So defenseless, do you want a hug? ♡"
"Don't mock me." You grumbled, staring up at him.
You knew this was a mistake. Even that Billy-Jean, Ging-er, Wa-Ging, chan-Ging, sin-ging, you get the idea, guy would've been better. And he looked homeless.
"Who said I was?" He laughed, pulling you out of your seat by the wrist, his arms wrapping back around you, "You quite clearly need one ♧"
"Do not."
"Do too ♡"
"Hate you."
"You hate admitting you're weak, and not as immune to manipulation as you pretend to be ♡"
"Hate you." You corrected, knowing full well he was right.
But Hisoka, by default, is wrong, so.
He just hummed, pulling you closer. One hand rubbing your back and the other keeping your head pressed against his chest.
"I'll tell you anything you want to know," He promised, his voice a low purr, "does that make you feel better? ♡"
"I'm not even sad," You grumbled, rolling your eyes as you nuzzled into him.
Netero was nice. Safe. But, after so long with Chrollo, Illumi, and Clown twink, you had grown accustomed to almost constant affection and praise.
If they weren't all murderers who only wanted to control you, they'd be perfect.
You could even forgive the murdering part. If they just didn't see you as an object to own.
"Of course not ♡" He sounded smug as he held you close, his comfort just one big act of mockery that neither of acknowledged, "Do you want a nap? ♡"
You hated how easily he won. You were used to playing manipulation games with Chrollo and Illumi. Playing into their little romantic ideals in order to get your way.
Hisoka should be just as easy. Just another person to trick until they give you what you want.
But he was far too unpredictable. Unaffected by romantic advances, despite his flirting and touchiness.
He wanted something. And, unlike Chrollo and Illumi, you had no idea what. That's what made him dangerous.
Well that, and the fact that he's a murderer.
Sighing, you just nodded. Wrapping your arms back around him tightly. You'd give in for now. In the morning you'd fish answers out of him.
He just cooed, rubbing your back and murmuring soft reassurances into your ear.
Even slumped into his chest, eyes closed, you could tell he was grinning.

Fun Facts:
• For those of you saying anybody but Hisoka, if I had some random person train Y/n then it'd stray the story away from the Trio. Also Hisoka's getting like no screen time
• I love Hisoka, but for everyone's sake he will just be platonic. He's (so far) the only one who hasn't obsessed over Y/n, and instead has other goals. He will still be flirty though because, well, it's Hisoka סּ͡͡_סּ͡ (Sometimes I'm worried that my Hisoka isn't acting canon-enough. But all his 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂-ness would get me removed from Wattpad, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
• Next 23 chapters will all be author's self indulgence (Love Hisoka [happy])
