Chapter 25
Let's get it.
__________
Jimin tiredly drags himself towards his locker. He hasn't seen Hoseok today yet, so his normal boost of energy is missing.
He tried to keep himself up with the thought that he's going to Yoongi's tomorrow.
Last time they were together was a few days ago, so the craving is getting real. Also, the song is coming along amazingly and Jimin can't wait to hear the finished product. He never really thought about his singing voice, never noticing it was something special. But Yoongi has been praising him 24/7 and it makes him so flattered.
He smiles at the small memory while opening his locker, placing all of his books neatly beside each other. He feels like he should throw out his language books, they are so heavy and he's basically never using them anymore...
While closing his locker, he hears footsteps heavily running in his direction.
"Jimin!" Hoseok's voice calls, but it doesn't sound the way it usually does. It sounds... slightly panicked?
"What?" Jimin turns and looks at the elder a little bewildered.
"S-She... yo-you-" Hoseok lets his upper body falls as he rests his hands on his knees, clearly not in good shape. Jimin starts getting uncomfortable and curious.
"Hoseok, what is it?" he questions.
"Yo-you need to..." more desperate breathing.
"Jesus man! Just spit it out!" Jimin says, throwing his hands to the sides to show frustration. It's like when people are laughing at something and just can't calm down enough to tell what they are laughing about... it's so annoying.
"She sent another fucking letter!" Hoseok straights himself back up.
Jimin frowns. Letter? What letter?
Hoseok clearly sees his confusion, cursing under his breath for having a friend with such a weak memory.
"Mrs. Min sent another fucking letter Jimin! A letter we didn't know about!" Hoseok urges.
Jimin is baffled as he lets the words slowly sink into his mind. The letter they made sure got confiscated, the letter they fucking stole from Jungkook's desk! Omg, he's so fucking dead.
"N-No, that can't be happening, please tell me you're joking!" Jimin's eyes open wide. Hoseok places a hand on the younger's shoulder, letting him know he indeed isn't joking.
As if Jimin has created the sixth sense, he feels something coming towards them. Like some evil aura also filled with raging anger. God, he hates when he's right.
Not a second later, one of the school's front-doors at the end of the hall flies open. Jimin wonders how it's still in the door-frame considering how freaking hard it was smacked up.
Inside steps a monster a.k.a Jungkook who's really, really mad. It's like there's a shadow around him, telling people to step the fuck back. Which they do, more like places themselves in a better position to watch the hot elder. Not just hot-hot that way, the fuming kind of way.
All eyes are on him as he starts marching forward with heavy steps. First now, Jimin realizes Taehyung is behind his husband. He doesn't look angered just... disappointed.
"It was nice knowing you," Hoseok squeaks before stepping away, letting Jungkook get close to his son. The raven grabs Jimin's shoulder and almost slams him against the locker, probably harder than intended.
"Jimin?" he growls, voice surprisingly low.
"I-It's a misunderstanding!" Jimin tries, already feeling weak to his father's strong grip.
"Oh really? Go ahead," Jungkook says. Jimin almost feels the other's eyes burn into his head, searching for every little piece of evidence. The boy has been lying to Jungkook for so long, now he feels like that façade is failing him completely.
He opens his mouth to say something, but nothing comes out.
"Please go the fuck ahead Jimin and tell me why I received a letter and a phone call about why I didn't show up to the meeting!"
Meeting?
"W-What are you talking about?" Jimin shivers, biting his lip. He feels the whole school's eyes are on him. He looks at Taehyung with pleading eyes, but the elder shakes his head, showing that he isn't helping him this time.
"The meeting about your goddamn rate of absenteeism!?" Jungkook almost yells, the whole school goes silent and Jimin swears it's the most embarrassing moment in his entire life.
Looking back at his father, he shuts his lips in a tight line, indicating that he doesn't have anything to say. He doesn't know what to do... it's the end. Bye world, he thinks as Jungkook grabs the blonde's arm harshly, making him yelp.
Jungkook drags him down the hall until they are close to the principal's office. He almost throws Jimin into one of the chairs by the wall before leaning down so that their eyes are on the same level.
"You wait here until we come back and then we are going home to have a long talk," he demands, his finger pointing dangerously in front of the younger. Jimin just lets his head fall into a frown and feels some kind of anger blaze in him, but he keeps quiet and sees Jungkook straighten back up.
He and Taehyung walk towards the door. The brunette looks at his son both in pity and disappointment.
"Fucking hell Jimin," he mutters before they enter the office.
_____
"Shit, are you okay?" after a while, Hoseok got the courage to approach his best friend. Jimin sighs out loudly and slides down in the chair. His parents have almost been in the office for 30 minutes by now, it's starting to get extremely uncomfortable. Now, he just wants to get it over with.
"Define okay, 'cause if that's 'I'm alive but probably won't be for long', then yeah... I'm okay," he comments annoyed. He pouts as Hoseok sits down next to him, knowing that Jimin is in a really bad mood right now.
"This is so stupid! Why the hell did they send another letter?" Jimin asks frustrated. They worked 'so hard' to get the other letter, just for this damn school to send another one. More precisely, Mrs. fucking Min. God, she's forever Jimin's worst teacher.
"Maybe you should just have told them from the sta-"
"Don't you dare finish that sentence, I don't need you to play all holy right now," Jimin places a hand in front of his friend's face. Hoseok huffs offended put doesn't comment on it further.
"What do you think will happen?"
"I don't know... not even Taehyung is going to help me this time..." he sighs. Only Taehyung can 'manipulate' with Jungkook, but this time Jimin definitely fucked up too bad. He groans and places his hands over his face.
What will happen? He doesn't know.
Just as that thought passes through his mind, the door to the office opens and the two elders step out. Jungkook looks directly at Jimin before cursing under his breath, heading for the door. Taehyung comes over and comments for Jimin to get up.
The blonde doesn't have any right to go against his father's words, so he stands, and they all walk towards the exit. Hoseok is left alone in the chair, getting stares from a few students who are still curious about the whole scene.
He just shakes his head and walks towards the back-door.
_____
The ride home was silent, uncomfortably silent. Jimin sat in the back seat, looking at his lap. He didn't have the courage to look up and possibly get eye contact with the two in front of him.
When they arrive at the house, silence is still heavy as they step out of the car and head inside. Jimin knows what's coming for him. He really wants to sprint up the stairs and hide under his duvet, but Jungkook will just come after him and drag him back down.
Indeed, the elder places himself in front of the stairs, arms crossed over his broad chest. Taehyung stands beside him, now he also has a stern look on his face.
Jimin hesitantly steps forward.
He looks at the floor, not knowing if he's supposed to say something. Jungkook beats him to it.
"Now, you tell me what the fuck is going on inside your mind and don't you think you can fool me this time," he says sternly. He sounds like some military man who's scolding his soldiers for getting up too late.
"Have you been skipping class Jimin? Have you?" he presses on.
Obviously? Jimin bites his lip before nodding slightly.
"Say it."
"Yes, I have been skipping class," he says. His voice is surprisingly steady all of a sudden, maybe it's because he still feels the anger rush through him. The need to go against them.
"And what in the world could make you do something so stupid?"
How the hell is Jimin supposed to answer that? There's no way he can tell them about Yoongi, then he can definitely kiss his life goodbye.
"No reason."
"Bullshit! No matter what you do Jimin, you will have to tell me or else we can stay here all night."
Taehyung sighs and breaks their small tantrum.
"You guys go into the dining room, I'm going to get something for dinner, don't kill each other," he says before urging them away from the door and stairs. Jimin wants to get on his knees and beg his father to stay. At least he can be here if Jungkook goes berserk.
Jungkook walks into the dining room/kitchen and places himself in one of the chairs. He places his elbows on the table before folding his hands and resting his chin upon them. He tells Jimin to sit down and the younger doesn't have the guts to go against him.
So, now they are sitting in front of each other, staring.
"I have all day and night Jimin, better spit it out."
Jimin feels tears sting in his eyes. He knows Jungkook is speaking the truth, he will keep him here all night if necessary. But ugh! This is so annoying!
"Because of Yoongi," he whispers.
"What was that?" Jungkook leans forward.
Jimin wants to punch his stupid face.
"Because I wanted to see Yoongi!" he says louder. Jungkook's eyes widen for a second before his face turns into an expression of sudden understanding. Jimin is so going to get the full-on speech now, the speech he deep down knew would come at some point. He's tired of running anyway.
"Of course. How could I be so stupid to actually believe you would hold a promise," Jungkook leans back in the chair while shaking his head. Jimin feels his blood boil. How dare he say it's a promise, it was a fucking order!
"Well maybe everything wouldn't have ended like this if you would let me see him!" Jimin fires back.
"I don't trust him."
"He didn't do anything wrong goddammit, can't you get that into your thick skull!?" the younger hisses. He immediately regrets that as he sees the look in his father's eyes.
"I don't care for the reason, the whole point in you skipping class is more than over the line Jimin," he states, trying to stay collected and calm.
"So what! It's my life, what are you going to do about it!?"
Jungkook leans forward and stares into the other's eyes.
"You're grounded for a month."
