"Hey honey, how was school?" Taehyung asks as Jimin comes inside the kitchen, slumping down on one of the chairs.
"As always..." Jimin kinda lied. He met someone today, and that's new.
Taehyung rounds the kitchen isle, a cup of coffee in his hand. He lets his free hand run through Jimin's hair and the younger sighs into the touch.
"Dad, you have to look at this," Jimin suddenly remembers some papers his guardian has to sign in order to allow Jimin to go on school trips. Which is weird cause Jimin is 18 already, but whatever.
He leans down to open his bag, causing Taehyung's hand to withdraw. He takes a sip of his coffee again.
"Here," Jimin shows the papers and gives the elder a pen.
"Goddammit," Taehyung curses and walks over to the kitchen table. Jimin laughs as he sees his father grab a pair of reading glasses, placing them on his nose.
"Getting old now, are we?" the blonde teases, earning a pinch in the side. Taehyung and Jungkook have turned 33 this year, so yeah... they are getting old.
But like, Namjoon and Jin are 34 so...
Taehyung signs the paper quickly, giving the pen back to Jimin. He studies his son for a second, having an uneasy feeling that something's up. He ignores it though and stands back up.
"You can bring Hoseok over today, I think I bought too much food..." Taehyung says as he studies the kitchen table.
"You always do," a new voice echoes through the room and Jungkook steps inside. He gives Jimin's hair a kiss, ignoring the younger's protests before placing himself behind Taehyung. The elder smiles slightly as he feels a pair of arms around his waist and a chin resting on his shoulder.
"Welcome home," he comments while looking over the receipt for the food he bought. It's not really a problem though, because Jungkook is the CEO of the Jeon company, meaning they are stinking rich.
"Thank you," Jungkook muffles before showering Taehyung's neck with kisses. The elder hits him gently in the stomach with his elbow.
"Jeez, get a room," Jimin sighs, but then breaks into a laugh as Jungkook rushes over to tickle him.
"You're growing up too fast, stop it!" Jungkook jokes.
"It's not like I can do anything about it?" he answers. Jungkook keeps tickling him and the room is filled with laughter.
Jungkook might not be Jimin's blood-related father, but he's still his father by heart. Even though the raven is annoyingly overprotective, stubborn and bossy.
He even made sure Jimin barely goes to parties. He says it's only untrustworthy people that go to parties, even though he was the worst when he was a teenager. And he doesn't want Jimin to be like him.
Jimin doesn't remember much from his childhood, other than he thinks he was happy. He remembers Taehyung having trouble with money, but not really what that involved. He never really asked into it and they don't talk much about the past either.
Jimin grabs his phone and quickly dials Hoseok's number.
Jungkook's phone rings that instant and he quickly picks up, something with work. Taehyung looks after him for a second.
"Dad, I can help with the food, and Hoseok is coming over," Jimin says from the side. Taehyung smiles and appreciates how helpful his son is. They start making the food, happy that Hoseok is coming over since there's way too much.
Not soon after, there's a knock on the door. Jimin lets Hoseok in while Taehyung places the food on the table.
"Hi Taehyung!"
"Hey Hosoek."
The two youngers sit down, talking about the school day and their classes. Taehyung walks up the stairs, knocking gently on the door to Jungkook's office.
He sticks his head inside and sees Jungkook typing away on his computer, phone between his shoulder and ear, slightly pushing his glasses.
"Kook, there's dinner," he says.
Jungkook gives him a thumbs up but keeps on working, ignoring the statement. The elder leaves the room with a small sigh. He would be lying if he said Jungkook hasn't been distant these days.
He walks down the stairs and joins the others at the table.
"But she seems nice, I guess?" Jimin comments and Taehyung immediately points his attention at his son. Jimin feels his gaze and sighs.
"No dad, I don't like her like that," he says and Taehyung rolls his eyes. He wonders when Jimin became so sassy. He never tells his parents anything.
"Whatever you say," the elder puts his hands up in defense, sparing them a small smile. Jimin is obviously bi, but the boys are preferred.
They finish their food, Jungkook never joining.
