Today's the day...

Today's the ball...

AND I'M FREAKING OUT!!

Some of the hickeys are still showing and I don't think I'm bold enough to waltz in with my hair up.

So, I'm just gonna do my hair so that they can be hidden.

In an hour we'll be on our way to the Ball!!

I'm excited and nervous at the same time! It's my first Ball after all.

I wonder how many familiar faces are gonna be there.

Natalie said that Models would be there, as well as, Royalty and Rich people. I have a feeling Chloe and Lila will be there, they are models after all...

Oh God, I'm nervous.

I haven't seen Adrien since breakfast. I yearn for his touch...

Okayy, Mari, that sounded weird. Don't ever think that again!

The makeup artists were doing my face and the hairstylists were doing my hair at the moment.

I told the makeup artists to keep the makeup as natural and light as possible. I don't want my face to be caked up with makeup.

After they finished, I was informed that it was time to get ready for the Ball.

Okayy, Mari, you can do this...

It took exactly 45 minutes for me to get into the dress.

My hair cascaded down my shoulders and covered all the hickeys on my neck, thank the lord.

I had onbdiamond studded necklace, bracelet and earrings.
My Diamond tiara layed on top of my head.

I'm not gonna lie, I love how I look and the dress fit perfectly. And it's actually comfortable.

I was in my room getting touched up by the stylists while I waited on Adrien.

A short moment later, a knock sounded on the door and I let out a "Come In" to the person on the other side of the door.

The door opened and Adrien stepped in.

I almost fell over.

He looked fiiiiine.

The suit fit him perfectly (purrfectly lol😂😂).

His broad chest and that dress shirt, whoo, just kill me.

He shot me a smile as his eyes roamed my body.

"Can we have a moment?" He asked the stylists and they nodded.

"Yes your highness," They replied in unison and scurried out of the room, closing the door behind them.

Adrien walked up to me and took my hands in his.

Breathe, Marinette, Breathe...

"You look truly fascinating," He commented and I blushed hard.

"You look hot... Wait, I mean you look good!"

Stupid Marinette!

He let out a laugh and placed a kiss on my cheek.

"I came here to do something important," He stated and started to get down on one knee and my eyes widened.

"A-Adrien,"

"Marinette, I know we haven't known each other for a long while, but we're gonna get married in a couple of months. I was just supposed to come here and hand you this ring, but it just didn't feel right. So Princess Marinette Dupain-Cheng, will you do the honor of becoming my wife? Even though it doesn't matter if you say yes or no, we'll get married anyways. But apart from that, Will you marry me?"

His rambling almost made me start laughing. He was so damn cute.

"Yes, Adrien, I'll marry you," I smiled and he grinned.

He slipped a really beautiful gold ring onto my finger and I almost squealed.

This is so cool!!

He stood and placed a soft kiss onto my lips which I happily returned.

"Ready?" He asked.

No...

"Yes,"

"You're not ready, Mari,"

"Yes I am,"

"Nope, I can sense it. You're super nervous. Don't worry, Mari. I'll be there with you and I'll hold your hand the whole time," Adrien smiled.

"You make me sound like a kid, "I pouted.

"You're so cute. Let's go before we're late,"

"Better late than never right?"

"Come on," He tugged on my arm.

We both walked out of my room and descended the stairs.

We were immediately met with Natalie.

"Good, you two are ready. Remember, try to interact as much as possible, dance, mingle, represent your kingdoms well. Princess, make sure to flaunt your ring alot. The driver is waiting outside for you. I'll see you both later, " She stated and ushered us outside quickly.

We were basically pushed into the limousine and shipped off to the venue of the Ball.

When we neared the venue, I could see a ton of paparazzi. Oh and a red carpet.

The limo stopped and the driver came to open the door for us.

Adrien came out first and held out his hand for me to take. I took his hand and climbed out of the car.

Lights in my eyes, I had to hold down my head as we walked into the building.

The first thing I was hit with was strong perfume and rich people.
Don't get me wrong, I'm rich too, but seeing so much rich people in one place has got my head spinning.

"You okay?" I felt Adrien's breath on my ear.

I held my breath and nodded.

We walked hand in hand as we were lead to our assigned table by an usher.

We were seated at the table with some royals. The only person I recognized was Prince Nathaniel and it seems like he knew who I was because he kept staring.

We all exchanged "Good Nights" and they chatted amongst themselves.

"This is kinda boring," I whispered to Adrien and he nodded.

"I know right, what are we supposed to do?"

I shrugged and looked around, most people were getting up to dance.

I was about to say something to Adrien, but I felt someone tap my shoulder.

I turned only to be met with the face of Prince Nathaniel.

"Good Night Princess, would you do the honors of having a dance with me?" He asked.

I sqeezed Adrien's hand and gulped as I glanced at him. He nodded slowly and I reluctantly let go of his hand.

"It would be my pleasure," I said as I took his hand. I stood and he led me to the dance floor.

I glanced back at Adrien only to see him smirking. He pointed to his left hand and I looked at mine and saw the ring.

I was confused and then it clicked.

Ohh...

Nathaniel placed one of his hands on my waist and raised my hand with his other and we started to glide on the dance floor.

"So Marinette, can I call you Marinette?"

"Um, yeah, sure,"

"I sent a marriage request to your kingdom several weeks ago and I haven't gotten a reply. What is the matter?"

Straight to the point, Huh? Wouldn't even ask me about my day...

"I have never heard any news of this until now, " I stated coolly.

"Really? I think it would be a good thing if our kingdoms merged. And the only way that would happen was if we were to get married and-,"

"Let me stop you there. I'm actually already engaged to be married, so I don't think I can marry you," I explained then showed him my ring. Something flashed in Nathaniel's eyes, I'm not sure what it is...

"Oh I see, May I ask who is the lucky lad who will have your hand in marriage?" He asked lowly.

"Prince Adrien Agreste," I answered.

"Oh wel-" He was cut off, because the music ended and I pulled away.

"Thank you for the dance, Prince Nathaniel. I must get back to my fiance now," I smiled and headed back to the table.

As I headed back to the table, I realized that Adrien looked really tense, then I noticed the blonde who was in my seat.

Oh boy, tonight is going to be interesting...
