Marinette's P.O.V:
There was a knock on the door. It woke me up, but Adrien was still fast asleep.
"Princess? Are you awake?" The person outside the room, who I now realize is Adrienne, said.
I slowly lifted Adrien's head off of my stomach, trying not to wake him up, and slipped out of the bed slowly.
I opened the door slightly and poked my head out and I now was looking at a puffy eyed Adrienne.
I guess she got the news.
"I'm sorry to wake you, but have you seen Adrien? He's not in his room and I'm so worried about him," She said quickly.
"Yeah. He's in here, sleeping," I replied, lowly and stepped outside the room, pulling the door slowly behind me but not closing it.
I saw a look of relief flash across her face.
"Thank god," She muttered.
"So, why are you so worked up? I mean, if he wasn't with me, he would be somewhere in the castle right?" I asked and she made a sharp intake of air.
"Y-you see, when our m-mother , Adrien ran away. He was here the night before and in the morning he just wasn't. He was gone. We were on a wild goose chase looking for him for three whole weeks. Then one day he just came back out of the blue. He was so emotionless and I was devastated. He wouldn't talk to me. I just wanted to know what I could do to help him. When I talked to him he would just sit there and stare at me or just nod or say yes."
"Ad-," I started, but was cut off by Adrien calling my name from inside the room.
I turned and opened the door wider and looked inside.
"Yes Adrien? What do you need?" I asked.
He was about to answer then he looked behind me and saw Adrienne.
"Uh... Nothing. Thanks for letting me stay here, I'll get back to my room now," He said quickly, getting up out of the bed.
"It's no problem..." I trailed off and moved out of the way so he could pass.
As he was about to pass Adrienne, she gripped his hand and he turned to look at her, his face blank.
"What?" He asked.
"Natalie came back early this morning and she'd like to see you at breakfast," She replied and Adrien sighed.
"I'll be down shortly. I have to go freshen up," He pulled his hand from her grip and walked away in the direction of his room.
Adrienne then turned to me.
"We'll talk later. Go freshen up and come down for breakfast. Oh and remember, a princess must always wear a dress," She stated. I almost scowled.
"But I don't like to wear dresses. They're uncomfortable," I replied.
"Neither do I, but it was requested by Natalie. Now, I'll go get ready for breakfast, come down to the dining room when you're done," She said then walked away and I went into my room.
I closed the door behind me and groaned.
I hate dresses so much!
I then headed to the bathroom and took a shower.
🌸After the Shower🌸
I came out of the bathroom with just a towel wrapped around me.
Someone then knocked on the door.
I walked over to the door then opened it.
Infront of me stood three maids with dresses in their hands.
"May I help you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Good Morning, Princess. Ms Natalie ordered us to help you to get ready," One of the maids, said.
UGH!!!
"Sure. Come right in!" I said with fake enthusiasm.
I'm sorry if I'm coming off as rude, but I just really hate dresses.
I opened the door wider and they came in. I then closed the door behind me.

Putting on that dress was not easy. They drew the thing so tight, so that my stomach was tucked in good. My stomach wasn't even big!!
Now I have on a very poofy light blue dress. It didn't look bad, but it was just very uncomfortable.
They put my hair into a neat and tight bun and touched up my face with little makeup.
All this for breakfast!
I exited my room and headed downstairs to the dining room.
When I entered, Natalie and Adrienne were already seated in silence.
They looked at me and I curtsied and said 'Good Morning' then took a seat.
We sat in awkward silence and Natalie just typed away on her tablet.
I then gained enough confidence to start a conversation.
"So the weather is good these days," I said and they both looked at me.
Adrienne was about to say something, when Adrien walked into the room.
Thank goodness! That was a horrible conversation starter.
"Oh Adrien. Finally you're here. You look like you've put on some weight? Your father wouldn't approve," Natalie said, looking up from her tablet to study Adrien.
"Weight?" Adrien, Adrienne and I asked in unison.
"Yes. You've gotten fatter than the last time I saw you. Now sit. We're having salad for breakfast. Your father said that you should stick to your eating diet," Natalie said, setting her tablet aside.
Adrien clenched his jaw and sat down in the seat across from mine.
The chef came out with plates filled with salads.
I only ate salad 3 times. It's not bad, but it's not what I'd order for myself if I went to a restaurant.
We started to eat in silence. I glanced at Adrien a few times to see him already staring at me.
"So, there's a Ball in a few days, Princess, you and Adrien will be attending. A lot of people of high class will be there, so you two will represent your kingdoms well," Natalie broke the silence, almost making me choke on a tomato.
I've never been to a ball before.
"Yeah. Whatever" I heard Adrien mutter as he played with his food.
I guess I'm going to a ball with Adrien...
I remembered I didn't bring any gowns with me.
Oh crap! What am I going to wear???
