Well I guess I'm back. Oh, and I apologize for the long wait. I hope you enjoy this chapter, I tried.

Marinette's P.O.V:
Adrien was crying hard on my chest, while I whispered reassuring things in his ear.

He wasn't calming down anytime soon.

He took the news of his father having cancer really hard. Seeing him like this made me want to cry.

He told me that Natalie said King Gabriel had Leukemia.

He also told me that she said that she'll be flying back to France soon.

"Marinette...." Adrien mumbled.

"Yes, Adrien?"

"Do you think my father will survive?" He asked.

"We can only hope, Adrien, we can only hope" I said, running my fingers through his hair.

He didn't say anything after that, but he stopped crying.

We finally arrived at the castle. The chauffeur opened the door and I thanked him, Adrien didn't look like he was in the mood to talk to anyone.

We walked into the castle, Adrien clutching my hand tightly.

Adrienne then rushed down the stairs, a big smile on her face. I guess she didn't get the news.

"So, how was your date night..... " She trailed off and her smile slowly disappeared as she looked at Adrien.

"What's wrong, Adrien?" She asked softly.

Adrien's eyes welled up with tears once more.

"I-I.. " He stuttered before he cleared his throat and continued.

"Natalie will inform you, I-I really d-don't want to say. Anyways, it's time for me to retire for the evening. Goodnight to you both." He let go my hand, bowed and walked stiffly up the stairs.

He  bowed?

"I haven't seen him like that since mom.... " She muttered lowly, but I heard anyway. She looked like she was deep in thought.

A maid then walked into the room.

"Madam Adrienne, Ms Natalie is on the phone requesting to speak to you." She said stiffly.

Adrienne nodded.

"Well Princess, I'll speak to you later. I have something important to take care of. " She said before walking away.

I sighed and headed to my room.

I really hope Adrien is okay....

*Time Skip*
It's about 10 pm right now. I've showered and changed into a silk nightgown. Now I'm sitting and thinking about Adrien.

The light is switched off and I'm curled up under the heavy covers.

There was a light knock on the door. I sat up as the door creaked open and Adrien head pops in.

"Hey. Can I come in?" He asked lowly.

"Yeah sure" I replied.

He opened the door wider and came inside. Then he closed the door behind and came over to the bed and climbed in. He layed down and placed his head on my lap, I instantly started playing in his hair.

It's so soft!!

"I can't sleep" He stated.

Ohh.

"This is like my mom all over again. Most people don't know this, but my mom died from cancer. She had it for a long time.  She was treated. She was healthy. I still don't know why she died. It broke me when she died. I loved her so much. I miss her too. I don't want my dad to die. I don't want to lose him too. " By this time Adrien was full on sobbing.

It brought tears to my eyes.

"I'm sorry to hear about your mom, Adrien. I really am. I don't know what I'd do if I lost one of my parents. I'd probably give on life. You are strong, Adrien. Your mom might not be here physically, but she's here mentally and spiritually. She'll always love you. I won't tell you your father will survive, because I don't want to give you false hope. You'll be okay, Adrien, you'll be okay. I'll always be there for you, don't forget that." I ranted. He turned and cried in my lap.

I rubbed his head soothingly.

After some time, he was finally asleep.

"It'll be okay" I said falling into a deep sleep.
