Anime
So when I was planning my outlines for these, I wanted for the Movies one-shot and Anime one-shot to have very distinct feels despite them having similar prompts. So it's funny that these were back to back. I hope that you guys enjoyed it and that I succeeded in making them feel different. Vote and comment if you've enjoyed! -Colorado

Adrien bounced on the balls of his feet as he surveyed the area for Alya and Nino.
"Do you see them?" Marinette asked, standing up on her tippy-toes and looking out at the crowd of cosplayers, tired parents trying to keep their kids under control, and teenagers running around.
"No, I don't, but they should be around here somewhere."Adrien said, re-reading his texts. "Nino said they were ten minutes away fifteen minuets ago."
"Oh, Alya just texted me, they ran into a bunch of traffic."
"Well that added to the fact they have to get their tickets probably means there's no reason to wait for them." Adrien said.
"There's an Attack on Titan panel starting in ten, you want to go check that out?" Marinette asked.
"Do I?" Adrien brightened. "Absolutely! What room? I have a map right here."
"Lead the way, then."
After many days of asking, negotiating, and begging, Gabriel Agreste had finally done the impossible. No, he had not given up on terrorizing Paris and making literal children risk their lives and instead gone to therapy. Instead, he had finally allowed Adrien to go and hang out with his friends. Gabriel, of course, didn't realize Adrien would be hanging out at an anime con instead of Marinette's bakery, but what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him.
As long as he stayed in his cosplay no one would recognize him. Especially because he was dressed as Ichigo Momoiya. Without the tail and ears, of course, he didn't want to risk Marinette or someone else accidentally recognizing him as Chat Noir. But the idea of dressing up as a magical cat girl was just too good to refuse.
... And if he could spite his father while having no consequences to it, that won out.
He had been nervous for a split second while explaining his idea to his friends. That was quickly swept away when they all agreed to cosplay with him. Marinette had even agreed to do Tokyo Mew Mew with him. Alya and Nino opted to go as characters from Sailor Moon instead, but only because they already had the costumes.
"Okay, then I was thinking after the panel getting some food? I skipped breakfast so I could get to your house before the rush." He said sheepishly.
"Adrien! That's not healthy." She scolded them.
"Yeah, yeah, but I was so excited. I mean, today is the one of the only times my father has allowed me to go out. There was no way I wasn't taking advantage of that."
"You could've said something while we were at the bakery, though." Marinette said as he led her through the crowd.
"You were already ready to go! I didn't want to hold us up!"
"Alright, but after the panel, we're getting you some food."
"Yes, Mom." Adrien teased. Marinette rolled her eyes. "And after we're going to the vendor's alley." He said.
"Obviously! I can't wait to see what type of merchandise they have. But you're not allowed to get me everything, understand?" Marinette grinned, poking him in the chest.
"But that's the best part of being rich!" Adrien whined.
"Well, not today, I'm getting my souvenirs, so you're going to have to deal with it." She teased.
"We'll see about that, Mari." He smirked. "Oh, this is the panel room."
"Let's go and find seats, then." She grinned and they entered the room.
Thus, their con day began.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Okay, okay, but did you see that one Tsumugi cosplay? Like oh my gosh!" Adrien said, munching on his fries.
"I'd love to do something like that one day." Marinette sighed, taking a bite of her pizza. "Some of these costumes take an incredibly long time and exquisite craftsmanship. Even if it's based off of a design, it takes some major skill for a lot of these costumes."
"If you put your mind to it, I bet you could do anything."
"Thanks, Adrien, that's sweet of you."
"It's the truth! I've seen some of the stuff that you've designed, it's amazing! If you put your mind to it, I bet you could create something like the cosplays we've seen."
"You really think so?"
"I know so. What ideas do you have?"
"Well, I've always wanted to do a Nezuko cosplay." Marinette said. "I really love her character design."
"Do it! You did a fantastic job with this cosplay," Adrien gestured to the dress he was wearing. "I'm sure you can do a fantastic job with the other ones."
"Thanks, but what about you?"
"Me?"
"Yeah!"
"Well, I'd love to do a Usagi cosplay if I'm being honest."
"I could totally see that!" Marinette gazed up and down, and Adrien knew that she was imagining how the costume would look on him. "I could even make it for you."
"Really? You'd do that for me?"
"Mmm hmm! It'd be a lot of fun! I could even create a matching Tuxedo Mask costume." \
"That'd be awesome!" Adrien grinned. "I'm not sure what we'd do with it though."
Marinette shrugged.
"I don't think we really have to do anything with it. We could go to a con, or just dress up and take pictures. Even if it doesn't go anywhere, it'd still be a lot of fun."
"You're right, as always." Adrien said. "But I'm not sure how my father would feel about it."
"Who says that your father has to know?" She winked. "He didn't find out about your Ichigo Momomiya cosplay, he won't find out about this next one. You can come over any time and we can do something with it."
"Thank you Marinette, I don't know how often it will be, but I'll try my hardest to get permission to hang out with you."
Marinette leaned over and squeezed his arm, choosing not to say anything.
"So, what are you looking forward to the most?" Marinette asked.
"All sorts of stuff. I really love seeing everyone's cosplays, they're so creative! Going to panels is going to be awesome, we've already been to one and that was a blast. Also finally getting to have anime merch is going to be awesome."
"I thought you already had a ton."
"Yeah! But I've always ordered it online. Getting it in person is just, so much better."
"You have a point. There's just something about shopping in person that makes it much more memorable." Marinette nodded.
"Especially when you're with a friend."
"Yeah." Marinette laughed."Especially then."
"Making memories is the best part about doing anything like this." He said.
"Yeah. Hey, I know we were busy with the panel, but have you heard anything from Nino or Alya?" Marinette asked suddenly.
"Um, here, let me check." Adrien pulled out his phone to see that his notifications were empty. "No, have you?"
"No. Do you really think they got caught in traffic for that long?" Marinette asked. "It's been a few hours already."
"I just texted him asking where he was."
"Okay, sounds good, I'll do the same with Alya."
"I hope they get here soon. The Promised Neverland panel is going to be happening in thirty minutes and I know they were looking forward to it."
"I just updated her." Marinette said.
Adrien felt his phone buzz in his pocket and pulled it out.
"Oh, Nino says that they got their tickets, but Alya saw an Assassination Classroom panel she wanted to go to first."
"Where are they now?" Mari asked.
"Nino says that they are outside watching an Owl House cosplay photoshoot."
"Okay, let me text Alya and tell her we're heading there right now,"
"But we could head to the vendor's alley beforehand, if you want? Just to check out what's what before heading over to them."
"Okay! Let me let her know." Marinette texted something before glancing back up at Adrien. "Did you get enough to eat?"
"Huh? Yeah! I did."
"Okay, but if you get hungry let me know and we can go and get something."
"I will." Adrien promised as they cleaned up their lunch.
"In fact, I saw this cool dessert stand while we were looking for the food court."
"We'll have to check it out once we go and get Alya and Nino."
"Okay! Sounds good." Marinette said, smiling. "I'll let you lead the way. I really have no idea where I'm going."
"Alright. Remind me to get you a map at the next opportunity."
"What, are you telling me that you don't like leading me around? Why, Adrien, I'm hurt!" Marinette teased.
"You laugh about it now, but what happens when you get lost?" Adrien asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Simple. I text you."
Adrien rolled his eyes, but he was smiling. As infuriating as her stubbornness could be, he couldn't help but love it. It was that stubbornness that had stood up to so many people and that stubbornness that had allowed him the luxury of freedom.
"Yeah, I hate to break it to you, but I don't think that is going to cut it."
"Then I guess I'm just not going to get lost."
"Okay, sure." He snorted.
"Hey! I could totally not get lost if I wanted."
"Alright, maybe so, but you should still have a map, just in case."
"Fine." Marinette said. "But I don't have a map yet, so you're going to be the one to lead me to the vendor's alley."
"Alright." Adrien sipped his arm around her shoulder. "It's going to get really crowded, so we better be sure to not get lost." He explained sheepishly.
"Oh, um, okay." She gave him an awkward grin.
"Come on, let's go."
He led her through the crowd, trying hard to not pay attention to their close proximity. Things between him and Marinette had been amazing lately, he didn't want to ruin it. They had been so much closer than they were in the summer. He wasn't sure what had happened, but whatever it was, he was grateful for it. Suddenly hanging out with her one-on-one was one of his favorite pastimes. He sought her out during school and after, hoping to spend some time with her and while he loved all his friends, he couldn't deny that something was different when he was with her.
He had no idea what it was, but he wasn't putting much thought into it. If it was what he suspected it to be, it would only make things awkward. He didn't want that to happen. Marinette was such an amazing person. She was someone he looked up to and admired. He couldn't lose her.
Not when she was the person he trusted the most.
"What are you thinking about?" Marinette asked.
"Huh?" Adrien broke himself out of his thoughts and glanced down at her. "Oh, nothing important."
"You sure? We walked right past a hero merchandise stall and you didn't stop to check out any of the stuff."
"Yeah, I-I'm sure. I was just really deep in thought." He said nervously, praying that she believed him.
"Hmm, okay. If you say so."
Adrien gave her a small smile.
"Well, this is the entrance to the vendor's alley." Adrien said, gesturing to the large entryway.
"Well? What are we waiting for?"
Marinette grabbed his hand and ran into the room.
"Woah!" Adrien laughed as she pulled him along.
The room was incredibly crowded, even more so than the food court had been. It was a good thing that Marinette was keeping her hold on his hand. Only because he didn't want to get lost, of course. It didn't matter if he loved the embrace or if his hand was tingling, all it meant was that he was glad to be in his friend's company.
...Right?
Right.
"Oh my gosh, Adrien, look! It's perfect to complete your look." Marinette pointed to a stall that was selling cosplay accessories.
"Huh?" He looked towards the stall she was pointing at. "Oh." He gulped.
There it was, handmade cat ears and a tail. While normally Adrien would be overjoyed and would purchase them immediately, there was a reason why he didn't want to wear it. Hopefully with his wig, it wouldn't make much of a difference.
Besides, no one was recognizing him as Adrien, why would they recognize him as Chat Noir?
At least, that's what he was hoping.
"Come on! That way your cosplay can be perfect."
Oh, he really couldn't resist it when she smiled at him like that.
"O-okay."
Marinette walked over to the vendor, Adrien in tow. Marinette grabbed the cat ears and tail, putting them on Adrien.
He hesitated for a split moment, waiting for some to cry out 'There's Chat Noir!' but no cry came.
"Huh." Adrien whispered, beginning to relax.
"See? That looks so much better." Marinette nodded once. "Now, come on, let's go find Alya and Nino."
"Wait, what about paying?" He asked.
"I may or may not have bought them while you weren't looking."
"Marinette!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Alya! Nino! Over here!" Marinette waved.
The two were still watching the Owl House photoshoot when Marinette and Adrien found them. They whipped their heads around to see them, but their eyebrows furrowed.
"I don't think they recognize us." Adrien muttered to Marinette.
"You don't say?" She rolled her eyes. "You haven't been recognized all day though, so I don't know why we thought it'd be different for the two of them."
"Count your blessings. If my father learned that I was here and dressed like this, he'd probably take me out of school."
"Your father is a prick." Marinette muttered.
"You're unfortunately not wrong."
"Um, hi, can we help you?" Alya, dressed as Sailor Moon, asked when they approached.
"Yeah, we're looking for our two blind best friends who should be around here somewhere." Marinette said, unable to keep a grin out of her voice.
Alya's eyes widened.
"Marinette? Oh my gosh, I didn't even recognize you!" Alya exclaimed.
"Yeah, that was obvious." She chuckled.
"No way, dude." Nino shook his head looking at him ."So that means you're..."
"Hi, Nino." Adrien waved sheepishly
"Adrien?" He wheezed.
"The one and only." He bowed.
"I don't believe it." Alya folded her arms. "There's no way you're Adrien Agreste, you look way too different." She teased.
Adrien rolled his eyes, and lightly tossed his pink wig behind him, and shaking his blond hair.
"You believe me now?" He winked.
"Hello, Sunshine Boy." Alya chuckled.
"Hey! I spent good money on these!" Marinette said, diving to catch the wig and ears he had tossed.
"You know, when you said that you were going to dress up as a magical cat girl, I didn't think you were going to go all out like this."
"This is, like, the only time I'll be able to be a complete anime dork without my father getting on my case. Of course I'm going to go all out."
"Seriously," Marinette grumbled, dusting off the newly bought ears. "It's like you don't even appreciate the things I do for you." She sniffed dramatically.
"Did you two already shop?" Alya asked.
"Nah, I just spotted these and wanted to get it for Adrien since his costume would be incomplete without them."
"Ah."
"But I guess he could wear them without a wig." Marinette grinned, and leaned up to put the ears on him.
"Mari, wait-!" He started to say, but it was too late.
The damage was done.
The two ears sat squarely on his ruffled blond hair. It would be too familiar of a look to not recognize, even if Marinette didn't know Chat Noir better than most civilians.
Adrien watched in part dread and part fascination as Marinette's eyes widened and her jaw dropped.
"On second thought," She rasped out, two octaves too high. "Maybe you shouldn't wear those without a wig, Just looks weird." She grabbed the ears off of him before Alya or Nino could get a good look.
But even if his identity had been spared with them, Marinette knew. She was acting too awkwardly to not. Adrien recognized the strategy. He knew it well after all. She was playing something serious off like a joke until they could talk about it.
Hopefully it would be soon.
"You know, why don't you two enjoy the rest of this photoshoot?" Marinette said, fidgeting with the wig in her hands. "I'm gonna go with Adrien and help him with his wig." She pushed the wig back on his head and walked off.
"Y-yeah, I'm gonna-." He pointed to the bluenette.
"Go!" Alya waved.
"O-okay."
Adrien turned and headed to where Marinette was beginning to pace just out of hearing distance.
"I can't believe this. There's no way, there is absolutely no way!" She was muttering when Adrien walked up to her.
"Marinette?" He asked softly.
"I mean, Adrien? Chat Noir? I'm going crazy, I must be."
"Marinette."
"It was probably me just making things up because I've been so tired and stressed lately. Yeah! That's it, that has to-."
"Marinette!" He grabbed her by the shoulders. "Look at me."
Marinette looked up at him, the fakest smile he's ever seen coming over her face.
"Heyyy, Adri..." She let out a sigh and looked down at the grass below them. "I can't pretend that it's not you, huh?"
"Look, Marinette, I'm so, so, sorry about all of this. I didn't mean for this to happen, trust me." He took a deep breath in. "But it did, so now I need to make something clear. You cannot, and I mean, cannot, share this information with anyone. It could put you in a lot of danger and I would never want that to happen to you." Something flickered in Marinette's eyes that Adrien couldn't decipher.
"You think I'd do that?" She asked, her voice scarily calm.
"Well, no. I trust you and out of everyone in my life who could've found out, I'm glad it's you. You're my best friend, after all. But, nobody is supposed to know. When Ladybug finds out," He felt his stomach become nauseated just thinking about it.
Marinette let out a laugh.
"This isn't something to laugh about, Marinette! She's going to kill me." He fretted.
"I highly doubt that." Marinette sounded... amused? Did she not see how big of a deal this was?
"You don't know her like I do, she's always been really strict about identities."
"You're right." Marinette said, still smiling. "I don't know her like you do, I know her even better." He opened his mouth to protest, but before he could,
"After all, I think I know myself pretty well." She said the words that would change his life forever.
"W-what?" It came out louder than he had expected.
"Shhh! Not so loud." She giggled.
"Y-you're,"
"Yep! And don't worry, I'm not mad." She reassured him. "It was my fault anyway."
"I'm... really glad it's you." He whispered, his heart finding solace as his feelings for the two girls mingled into one.
"Me too, kitty." She stepped forward, and wrapped her arms around him.
Adrien sighed, melting into her embrace.
"Now, come on, Alya and Nino are waiting." She pulled back all too soon. He nodded, a laugh escaping him as she grabbed his hand and pulled him along.
After all, the day was only beginning and who knew what would happen next?

That awkward moment when you designate your entire afternoon to writing and so writers block decides to hit you like a freight train. Yeah, not fun. Also, I find it really funny that most of the references I've made are for animes I've never seen. Vote and comment if you've liked it! -Colorado
