i hear a keycard slide into my hotel room door.

half asleep i groan as i check the clock, 8:21am.

i let out a small sigh of relief when i see it's just phoebe walking into my room, i'm way too tired to fight off a murderer right now.

she throws a pillow at my head, making me groan.

"wake up" her soft accent enters my ears.

i shake my head into the pillow, "no, too early" i complain, slightly turning my head to look at her.

shes wearing jeans and black hoodie, her brown hair neatly tucked into a ponytail.

"you packed a bathing suit right?" she confirms with me.

i look at her confused, she reads my expression and explains "we're going swimming in the great salt lake" she grins.

i laugh before realising she's serious.

"it's like 40 degrees, pheebs, we could get hypothermia."

she shakes her head, disagreeing with my reasoning "i've done plenty of research and it's fine to swim in there as long as you're not in there for too long."

"please" she begs "we have a whole day off from travelling and you said yourself that i need to do touristy things."

i groan into my pillow "give me 10 minutes."

she grins "thank you thank you thank you."

i roll out of bed, wearing just calvin klein boxers, i notice her check me out a bit, i've always been used to girls eyeing me up and down, but coming from her is a big confidence boost.

she flashes me a small smile before turning to leave "i'll be in the lobby" she says as she closes the door behind her.

an hour later and we're standing by the large, scenic lake.

i'm freezing enough in just my swim trunks, i can't imagine how bad it's gonna be when we're in the water.

there's a few people around us, all screaming about how cold the water is.

phoebe is grinning next to me, looking down at the cold lake.

she's wearing a small bikini, i can't help but look her up and down and hope she doesn't notice

she must be freezing but she's hiding it well.

"3... 2..." she starts to count down, gripping my cold hand.

"1" she says before she jumps in, pulling me with her.

i scream as we hit the cold lake, she looks at me and giggles, her body is shivering a little but nothing compared to mine.

"it's too cold, we're gonna get hypothermia!" i complain, she grins in response.

"get over it, brissie boy" she repeats the words she told me on our first date, when we went skinny dipping.

a couple hours later and i'm lying in my hotel room, trying to recover my freezing body.

phoebe went back to her room to shower, we agreed to meet for lunch at 1, it's currently 11:50 so i have some time to kill.

i grab my phone from beside me and plug in my headphones, i try not to look at my phone too much but i'm too lazy to dig through my bags to find my book.

i find spotify on my phone and check my recommendations.

second on the list is phoebe's most recent album 'paparazzi', i've heard most of the album from cailee, barry and even rosamund blasting it on set.

i click on the album and see it's an hour and 8 minutes, perfect timing.

without thinking i press on the first track 'as it was (feat. harry styles)' i've heard phoebe talk about this song.

she told me growing up she was a huge fan of X factor, so naturally she went on to love one direction and screamed when harry's team reached out to her asking about a collab.

"come on harry, we wanna say good night to you!"

an hour and 8 minutes later and i've gone through the 5 stages of grief.

i recognised a lot of the songs but there's so many i've never even heard but were incredible.

i know phoebe will be here soon so i take the next few minutes to text cailee.
