morning pt.1

phoebe's point of view

i practically see stars as i stumble out of the bedroom, navigating my way downstairs from the little i remember of the house from last night.

i trip into the kitchen, making jacob stumble a bit from surprise, "jesus" he mumbles in shock.

"no, just me" i say, trying to make a joke out of the situation, earning a light chuckle from him.

i guess he can read my expression "uh don't worry we didn't... do anything" he reassures me.

"i mean we did stuff... but, we didn't have sex" he continues awkwardly.

"oh" i respond back in the same painfully awkward tone.

i look down, i'm wearing an oversized 'the smiths' t shirt, which i assume is his, and white lace pants, the same ones i was wearing last night.

"i'm gonna go change... then i'll be out of your hair" i say as i walk backwards slowly, he just nods, i can't tell if he's disappointed or relieved i'm leaving.

i hurry back to his room and quickly throw my dress back on, leaving his shirt neatly folded on his pillow.

i carry the wings from last night and my heels in my hand before walking back downstairs, he's in the same spot.

"well... bye" i say awkwardly, he nods again "bye" he repeats, "uh... give me a call sometime" he says.

"will do" i say with my lips tucked into each other before hurrying out the door.

he lives in los feliz, a neighbourhood i know pretty well, considering i live right to next it, its only a 10 minute walk back to my place.

i get a notification.
